Appleton, WI – Miller Electric Mfg. Co. introduces the electronics industry only fuel injected (EFI) engine-driven generator welding of two cylinders: the Trailblazer 302 and EFI EFI 250 Bobcat. Replacing the carburetor to EFI increases fuel economy up to 27 percent, reduces harmful emissions by up to 33 percent and eliminates carburetor icing. Miller has also increased the production of welding and power generators (12,000 peak/10, 500 watts continuous) on both computers to a green contractors, cost-based machine with improved performance in the models on the carburetor.

Replacing carbohydrates with EFI reduces hydrocarbon (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions by 33 percent and carbon monoxide (CO) by 27 percent, saving up to $ 1,000 per year (Assuming that 25 gallons per week, $ 3 per gallon) of fuel costs.

Highlights / Key Facts

    * Improved fuel economy up to 27 percent, yield 15 liters of 12 gallons.
* 33 percent less hydrocarbon (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), 27 percent less carbon monoxide (CO) output.
* Easy to drown from all climatic conditions – not to be.
* 12000-watt generator with two Bobcat? Trailblazer 250 and EFI 302 EFI.
* Increase welding results.

Increased production of sweat –

The Bobcat 302 and Trailblazer 250 EFI EFI is the multi-processor machines, the high stick, MIG, flux-cored wires offer AC / DC TIG and the possibility of speculation. Welds 302 Trailblazer cycle 280 amps at 100 percent (300-amp welding son) 250 Lynx 250 amps welding cycle with a 100 per cent (275 amps for welding wire). Miller Welders less than a machine? S of the power generator unit transforms these powerful new systems in several sheets, increasing productivity while reducing fuel consumption and the cost per property of the arc.

All tested products are tested to 104 degrees Celsius for optimal performance and integrity. Both machines have used an armor similar to the bumper of the car and tractor hoods. The result is a high impact toughness at all temperatures and is resistant to chemicals. EFI eliminates carburetor icing off and make for easy and optimal performance in all climate zones.

The American Welding Society (AWS) has developed a standard system A2.4 welding symbols, which is recognized and widely used worldwide. This standard is designed by a graphic display performance and type of solder joint in a simpler way than the written representation of it. In the assembly or manufacture of metal structures, the welder is usually guided by a plane provided by the designer or engineer showing welding, in detail, how to perform this structure.

In terms not only shows where to weld, but also specifies the type of joint, as well as the size and shape of the laces.
Welding symbols are a language of abstract and concrete. Their use would save time and money, and serves to ensure the objectivity of the work. It is desirable that the symbols used belong to a universal language, which is why symbols are used that have been standardized by the AWS or the Organization International Standard, together with the European Committee for Standardization (ISO / EN).

If it comes to making a good study about welding symbols, it is good to bear in mind the following points:
1. Introduction.
2. Development. Types of welded joints.
3. Symbolization system in welding, as defined in the ANSI / AWS A2.4-XX

Reduce projections by diluting the strength of current, whenever a short circuit occurs in the arc. The touch of gout and bathroom breaks by surface tension and the metal is deposited gently without splashing.

Defined as a type of metal transfer that combines the high frequency wave control, for stability and power of arc wide gap joints made without using ceramic support or backing plate (backing). The result of these solders enables high performance, with ensembles consistent, clean and of excellent quality. The current machines can wean the current value of the feed rate.

Control Technology Using Waveform TM, used machines has the ability to share and change the current electrode in microseconds. The precise control of the electrode current during the complete cycle of welding minimizes or even eliminates the main drawbacks of the conventional mode of GMAW short arc welding.

The STT process shows its full potential when welding thin materials and cord root, for example, tubing. The process is effective welding stainless steel and related alloys and mild steels and high strength. In steel, it offers the ability to use 100% CO2 welding producing low hydrogen content.

Stainless steel and other related can be used several shielding gases including argon and helium mixtures. When duplex stainless steel weld metal properties can be even higher. The Lincoln Electric Company is the first and only company that maintains the Patenet welding and began this revolutionary new welding process called Surface Tension welding process called Surface Tension Transfer ® (STT ®). Transfer ® (STT ®).

Originally pat-Originally patented in 1988, it was not until 1994 thatentado in 1988, but it was not until 1994 that the first commercial unit was produced the first commercial unit was sold producidaand. and sold. Today this process is welding Today this welding process is being used by every major pipe being used by each of the main contractor plumbing contractors in the world, yet it is still in the world, but it is still relatively unknown in many manufac-relatively unknown in many sectors of manufacturing structures.

MIG Welder Metal Inert Gas Welding, Fusion welding process limited to application on structures of limited quality. Exploit the high temperature caused by an electric arc between an electrode body fuse (wire, DC power supply and reverse polarity) and the work piece. The wire electrode is the filler material. Typically, the progress of the wire occurs through a mechanism of thrust, this method is impractical for aluminum and its alloys because the risks of a failure of the wire are high. There is a device located in the torch, which pulls the wire (which can be pushed together). The speed of the wire varies between 10-20 m / min and controlled by the current variation of the arc, the power is independent.

The MIG is easier, more convenient, faster than TIG is used when the productivity and operational simplicity are important. It is characterized by high current density (100-250 A / mm ²) that enables high-speed storage. The equipment complex, expensive, difficult to transport, bulky, not suitable for solder joints in awkward positions, are major disadvantages. The welding system includes an electrical circuit, a circuit for gas protection, a circuit of cooling water (most modern guns are autoraffreddanti, the gas itself provides protection to prevent overheating), the torch containing the wire and the feed device for the wire.

During the welding wire electrode, the bath, the arch, the surrounding material, are protected from atmospheric contamination by inert gas flowing from the gun. It is important to define the modalities of transfer of the filler material which is determined by the electrical parameters of welding, the filler wire and gas type:

Transportation spray (spray-arc):

Every drop is spread freely and detaches from wire drawing to a bath of melting effect of electrodynamic forces (voltage 25-35 V, current density 120-200 A / mm ²), covering the distance corresponding to the length of the arc. It is characterized by a quiet arc, deep penetration, no spray, good aesthetics. To obtain a satisfactory umbilical having characteristics requires a deposit rate of more than 100 drops per second used for pieces with a thickness greater than 4-5 mm placed on the flat since the smelting bath is large.

Transfer pulsed arc (pulsed-arc):

It presents a basic current (direct current in reverse polarity), which aims to keep on learning and maintaining the molten bath and the wire without involving transfer between metal electrode and bathroom at regular intervals overlaps the basic current a current at greater intensity to restore the conditions of spray-arc, with the transfer of the drop to the smelting bath. It should be noted that the intensity of current pulse is higher than that of conventional spray transfer, are also provided for lower powers. This technique is very versatile, suitable both for thin layers with joints in various positions, both for high thicknesses (if greater than 15 mm is recommended pre-heating). The shielding gas is argon provided in quantities between 15-20 l / min, 0.8-1.2 mm diameter wire on small thickness, 20-25 l / min, wire diameter 1,6-2,4 mm at greater thickness. For this procedure are defined synergic welding where the operator acts on a control knob connected to the generator containing the memory (chip) introduced by the manufacturer or user, in which there are the optimal parameters of the pulses of current to be the best mode transfer of filler material, gas protection, in relation to the diameter of the wire and the position of welding. The procedure described is most suitable for remote control and so robotic.

Welding Processes Procedure For Arc Welding MIG/MAG
1. Process Description
The electric arc welding with protective gas welding is a process in which the necessary heat is generated by an arc established between a consumable electrode and the metal to be welded.
A solid wire, bare, which is fed continuously and automatically becomes the metal deposited as consuming, do the work electrode.
The electrode, arc, molten metal and base metal adjacent areas, are protected from contamination of atmospheric gases through a gas stream that is provided through the nozzle of the gun, concentrically to the wire / electrode.
2. Applications
The process MIG / MAG can be used for welding of all materials (carbon steels, stainless steel, aluminum …..)
The electrode is continuous, increasing productivity by not having to change the electrode and the deposition rate is high. It can achieve speeds much higher welding with coated electrodes.
It is easy to implement a process that allows welding in any position. You can make long welds without joints between cords. Not required to remove any scum as it does not exist.
Furthermore, a computer is more expensive, larger and requires installation of gas which makes their use is restricted to indoor industrial spaces.
3. Team MIG / MAG:
3.1. Power source: The energy source must be capable of operating at high currents and provide a constant current so that it can melt the filler wire as this flows continuously.
This power source will require single phase power (1ph) or phase (3ph) as its power consumption or so.
3.2. Wire feeding system: The wire feed unit is the device that causes the wire to pass through the contact tube of the gun to melt in the arc. Teams MIG / MAG have a system to vary the speed of the wire and a solenoid valve for the passage of gas.
A motor transmits power to the drive rollers so that they displace des coil wire to the contact tip of the torch. The rollers in contact are usually one flat and one with bevel. The bezel is V-shaped for hard materials such as steel and stainless steel U-shaped and for soft materials such as aluminum. It is imperative to select the roll under the wire diameter.
3.3. Torch: The welding guns for filament yarn have to allow the wire to move through them at a predetermined rate and, secondly, to transmit the welding current to the wire and direct the shielding gas.
The torch is connected to the computer mostly via SCART which facilitates the exchange of the same if necessary. The recommended maximum length for welding of carbon and stainless steels is 4m. In such cases tow (tube through which the wire along the torch) is steel. During the welding of aluminum using MIG process, the recommended length is about 3 m in which the towpath in this case of softer material such as Teflon.
3.4. Mass Tweezers: The correct connection of the clamp of mass is an important consideration. The situation of the cable is especially important in welding. A bad guy cable will not provide consistent electrical contact and the connection is heated and can result in a disruption in the circuit and the disappearance of the arc. The contact zone of the clamp of mass must be totally clean without substances that may hinder their correct contact as paints, varnishes, oils ….

4. Welding parameters
4.1. Materials input: The string or wire performs the function of electrode during the welding process and provides the necessary material for the union.
The wires are usually employees of the diameters 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, … and are supplied in coils that are placed directly on feed systems. To achieve a smooth, even feeding the wire layer wound must be perfectly flat and is not necessary during this tight supply.
The steel wires are often a copper coating improves electrical contact, wing corrosion resistance and reduce friction with the different feeding systems and antorcha.El filler material must be similar in chemical composition of base metal. when varying the diameter of the wire used should change the guide tube. The contact tube and adjust the rollers to wire the new measure.
4.1.1. Welding WIRE WITHOUT GAS: There is a type of wire called “lively thread” or “tubular thread” that allows welding without the need to provide shielding gas. This makes it ideal for welding outdoors or in environments with large drafts. To this type of welding wire is necessary to have equipment that allow us to reverse the polarity.; Torch to the negative (-) and ground clamp to the positive (+).
4.2. Wire speed: The speed of the wire should be regulated in accordance with the intensity of welding so that the wire is grounded evenly. If the power is varied to suit welding a new material or a new measure of wire, it must simultaneously modify the wire speed.
+ Current-speed = + = intensity – speed
4.3. Welding current: This parameter is selected based on the material to weld, thickness and diameter of the wire. The selected intensity condition the wire speed.
4.3. Shielding gases: The main purpose of shielding gas is to protect the molten metal contamination surrounding atmosphere. Many other factors affect the choice of shielding gas. Some of these include a welding material, metal transfer mode of input desired, penetration and bead shape, welding speed and of course gas prices.
Generalized, the gases most commonly used are:
MATERIAL
PROTECTIVE GAS
STEEL
Argon 8Argón 85% + CO2 15% 5% + CO2 15%
STAINLESS STEEL
ALUMINUM
Argon 100%
The flow of gas you use depends on the conditions under which we work, but usually we can calculate a basis of 10 times the diameter of hilo.Ej. Wire of 0.8 mm x 10 = 8 L / min.
