Mid-South Christian Writers Conference

If you’re looking for a great short conference that’s centrally located in the country, I’d recommend the Mid-South Christian Writers Conference. This is a one-day conference with a Friday evening meet-and-greet (and two choices for optional early-bird workshops).

The conference features a marketplace that will host a variety of vendors, one-on-one appointments with industry experts, plus a good selection of workshops to choose from. This year’s keynote speaker is Bob Hostetler. If he’s as funny in person as he is on Facebook, then it’ll be a blast hearing him share and hanging out with him.

I’m blessed to be on the faculty this year. I will be presenting 15 Must-Haves for Author Websites. I’ll also be taking one-on-one appointments for those who want to chat about websites, self-publishing, or book marketing.

Maybe I’ll see some of you there!

Meet J.M. (Jill):

J. M. Hackman loves bookstores and libraries. She spent her childhood visiting these magical places and writing. After graduating from Penn State, she held many positions: assistant librarian, office assistant, office manager, substitute teacher, author, wife, and mother. She still holds the last three jobs.

Her short stories have been published in the anthologies Realmscapes and Mythical Doorways. Her YA fantasy Spark (Book One of The Firebrand Chronicles) was released in 2017 from L2L2 Publishing. The sequel, Flare, is scheduled for an October 2018 release. She spends her days writing stories, consuming massive quantities of dark chocolate, and looking for portals to other worlds.

Meet Pamela:

Pam has written most of her life, beginning with her first diary at age eight. Most of her novels are set in or near her hometown of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They include Surprised by Love in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and her newest release, Safe Refuge, the first of three novels in her Newport of the West series. Her novel, Second Chance Love, released last year, and her novella, If These Walls Could Talk, was published in the Coming Home collection.
