exciting updates

2014-07-30T13:35:00.000-04:00

A lot of very exciting things are on the horizon over here! I can't wait to share them with you throughout the coming months!!

In anticipation of the events ahead, I am working hard to build a new website and make sure that my sales website for wallpapers, fabrics and prints is user friendly. The new website should be up and running in the next month!

As many of you know, my wallpapers are available for purchase in book format. This is a great resource for my interior designers out there! You can purchase the book here. Note that books are available for sale with 15, 25 and 45 wallpaper samples. As my collection grows, you can add pages and patterns to your book by scrolling down and selecting individual pages.

In addition to the sample book, I am now offering samples of all patterns in size 6"x6" for $5. This way, you can see the colors and the papers at a lower cost if you just want to test out a few. Click here to view all wallpaper options.

If you are a stockist and want to inquire about carrying my papers and/or fabrics, please email lindsaycowlesfineart@gmail.com.

resin!!

2014-07-29T23:23:00.000-04:00

Ok, so I have been dreaming of working with resin for some time now. I love the sleek, clean, glossy, modern effect that it has on abstract art. I have been in the studio over the past week working with it and have created some gorgeous paintings with it. And now, I am working on using resin on some of my prints on stretched canvas.

Once they are ready, I will post more photos of them. For now, here are some of the beautiful reflections that I am seeing each morning in the new resin pieces!

This past week/end I was in Atlanta for meetings and to help my sister move into her new home. We had such a great time exploring the city. And I had some wonderful meeting with my business partners.

As many of you know, I have recently partnered with Bradley showroom to sell my wallpapers, fabrics, prints and originals. If you are in Atlanta, please stop by Bradley in the ADAC building on Peachtree Hills Cir to see some of my papers in person. My papers are also available through their Chicago showroom or through my website (click here).

Over the past week, I have worked on updating my wallpaper offerings so that you can see more of the layout and scale of the paper before placing your order. Please click here to see some of the new wallpaper colors and patterns, as well as the new layout!

2014-07-15T21:18:00.000-04:00

This week I am in Atlanta for meetings and to help my sister move into her new home :) She has moved from Richmond to Atlanta to be the middle school art teacher for Pace Academy! Yeah Katy!!

Below are a few of my recent new installations of my shape and form series. Note that all paintings are signed on the back and can be hung both horizontally and vertically.

Scroll through and check them out! Please email me at lindsaycowlesfineart@gmail.com for inquiries!

blue on white

2014-07-11T10:24:00.000-04:00

Below is a variation on my "White on White" painting that I painted for Clean Design Partners in Scarsdale. They came to me with a specific color scheme for their room and a request for the addition of pale blue into the "White on White".

In order to get a preview of the color variation, I created a small 5"x5" sample for them. Once they approved it, I received confirmation on the size of the commission (30"x60") and got going on it for them. The total amount of time that it took to complete the sample and the original painting for them was 5 months.

If you have questions about the commission process or want to request a quote, please email lindsaycowlesfineart@gmail.com. I would love to work with you on a custom painting or print for your space!

print samples now available

Many of you have asked how to see my work before purchasing a print. For those of you not close Richmond, VA, it may be hard for you to see my work other than online, as many of my prints are in private collections vs public displays. SO, I have launched a small line of sample prints on stretched canvas. This way you can see the quality, texture and color before you purchase your full size print.

Each print is printed on canvas and stretched on 8"x8" stretcher bars. Texture is hand applied to each piece and the sides are painted white, just like the larger prints.

All prints on my website are available for purchase in sample size-- just scroll down in the drop down menu on the any print product page and select "Sample".
