So happy to be taking part in the first iheartfaces contest of 2012!

I have a very hard time choosing the "Best Face Photo of 2011". I'm not one for "favorites". However the reason I chose one from this session is because I had full control over this session and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I rarely get to shoot for fun and I rarely have control over the location and what people wear. I was really able to be me and create art that I've been wanting to do for so long. So my "Best Face Photo of 2011" is....

What's up at LEP!

There has been some confusion of whether I am working or not? I AM WORKING! YAY!

1. There is still time to get Christmas photos done. I work this weekend (Nov. 26/27) and next weekend (Dec. 2/3) to have Christmas photos in time for Christmas. Weather is looking up!

2. I am booking any session through April. Most of these will be indoors(my small indoor space or your home) so it's ideal for newborns to 1 yr. However I can do lifestyle sessions as well for any type of session.

3. Winter is my slower time (and time to reboot!) so I only take a couple sessions a week, so I suggest booking now. This way you are guaranteed a session. I also suggest booking now, as there will be many changes coming Jan. 1. If you book now you guarantee my current pricing and information. Those who have already booked have been locked into their pricing and information.

SENIORS
I'm finishing up my last 4 senior galleries. I have a few 2012 seniors booked in Spring for last minute graduation pictures. So if you haven't had your senior pictures taken this year, Spring is a great time to get them done! Summer booking for 2013 seniors will open up in March.

I will be emailing all current 2012 seniors about graduation announcements in February. So please look out for that email. Lots of new fun designs and all custom just for you!

CHRISTMAS CARDS
If you haven't purchased your Christmas cards, now is the time to do so. Dec. 5 is the last day to order. Please look at the post below for many of the card options and pricing. Complete custom options are also available.

2012!!!!
I'm extremely excited for 2012!!!! I don't think I've ever been more excited for a new year! I've worked very hard on many new things for LEP. It's been 2 years since I've made a single change in what I do and how I do it. So it's time! I know many are disappointed in the price changes however I promise that the benefits will be numerous. This will allow me to give you more attention and for you to get a truly custom experience. I hope you will choose LEP in 2012! A new blog post and updated website to come :)

I am so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you. I hope that I get to see you soon and capture special moments in your life.

Christmas Cards

It's Christmas card time!

Here are about 3/4 of my card designs this year. Hoping to get the rest loaded soon. You can choose any one of these or I can create a completely custom card for you.

All cards are double sided and come with envelopes and you will see next to most of them what size they are, 4x6, 5x5, or 5x7. There are also LUXE designs which are 5x5 scalloped, 5x7 scalloped, 5x7 ornate, 5x5 circle, and 5x5 scalloped circle.

4x6 $50 for 25 (additional sets are $40)

5x5 and 5x7 $65 for 25 (additional sets are $55)

Marie is probably one of the most laid back and sweet people to step in front of my camera. Many of you don't know this but I was a teacher for a year before having my first child and deciding to stay home. I taught kindergarten at a Catholic school in town and it was really a dream job that I landed a week before school started...AHHH! It was crazy! Anyway, I had a very sweet class of 16 little learners and one of them was Marie's little brother, Ryan. Ryan was a sweetheart and just the most endearing little man. Since I stopped teaching, 5 1/2 years ago, I've seen only two of my students around town. I hadn't seen Ryan or his family since I left to stay home. So when I got an email from his mom about Marie, I was OVER THE MOON! Seriously! I was very surprised that they knew I had my own business and such and word gets around, one of my oh so awesome clients from a couple years ago referred them. YAY! And that they wanted ME to capture Marie. It meant so much!

We had so much fun! We laughed a lot and reminisced. She is just a delight and such a natural. Enjoy, Miss Marie....

I absolutely LOVE these two! This was our second time together and we had so much fun. Let tell you why I love them. Because you can literally feel their love. I love a man who isn't afraid to show his love, especially in front of the camera. Many men shut down when the lens comes up, not Rithy. He just loves all over his honey and it's just so awesome to see. They couldn't be anymore beautiful either.

I can't believe that I'm actually saying this but September and October are completely booked. YAY! With my early booking and several reschedules because of this crazy summer heat/storms, I will not be available until Nov. 1. I will make an announcement here or my Facebook page if that happens to change. Otherwise I am now booking November through the new year. New beginning....

For the last 5 1/2 years I've been a full-time stay at home mom with a full-time work from home/location job on the side. I LOVE staying home with my kids and we have so much fun but a new chapter has begun and we are adjusting. My first born is now in Kindergarten and my youngest is in preschool. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! We are all adjusting well but it's definitely a new world for us.

With that being said, my work hours are changing...

Office Hours: M/W/F 8am-11:30am

Shooting Hours: M/TH evenings and Saturday's

This is all somewhat flexible (especially for newborns) but it's nice to have somewhat of a schedule going.

For those of you looking into fall sessions, now is the time to book. I am booking fall/winter sessions through Dec. However I will book newborns into the spring. Contact me today!

I've been meaning to do this FOREVER, and it just always got pushed to the back burner. I really love the products I offer and I'm so excited to be able to finally share them with you. This is just a taste at some of the more popular ones. I hope I can keep up and share more with you in the future. Lay flat pages so that you read all of the print and see all of the images.

(3) 16x20 Float Wraps-Float Wraps are prints wrapped around a styrene board and then adhered to a standout mount so they look as if they are "floating". Super cook and the "it" product to have!

(3) 10x10 Standout Mounts - Standout Mounts are prints adhered to a 1.5 inch foam core block. Sides available in several colors besides black. This is an alternative to the more expensive gallery wraps.

Kenzie-Carlisle High School Senior Photographer, Omaha, NE

This is my beautiful cousin, Kenzie. Who came all the way from Carlisle, IA for a fun session in Omaha. We had way too much fun and hit up some crazy awesome spots. I mean who gets pictures on the top of a building downtown as the storm clouds are rolling in and the next morning foggy beach photos? Yea it was awesome!

Overlooking beautiful downtown....I'd live here if I didn't have kids ;)

To be able to shoot on my favorite beach is really pure bliss for me. It's like icing on the cake when this sweet thing is in front of my camera. We had so much fun and she was a trooper through her outfits changes and all the fun things we did. I wish I had this many adorable pics of my kids when they were this young.

My favorite part her saying "oh Dee Dee" at me when I made her laugh. Just melted my heart!
They really are the sweetest family and I'm so glad I was able to capture this image.

Drake, their dog was their first baby so it was fun to incorporate him in unique ways.

Kat was such a great subject! So sweet and natural in front of the camera and such a beauty! I loved that she was comfortable do all sorts of smiles and straight faces and looked stunning in every shot. We found some fun unique spots that I cannot wait to use again. I was thrilled to get the email from Nancy that she wanted me to capture their new additions first moments. I met this family a year prior celebrating Miss Saloane's 1st birthday portraits. Once of my favorite sessions, it was a beautiful Nov. day as Saloane played in the beautiful golden leaves and she stole my heart. So I was so excited to be able to spend more time with them and meet Miss Isla. She did not dissaappoint. What a beauty and great sleeper. I just loved her in all her chunkiness. I've had so many tiny tiny newborns and Miss Isla was 9lbs. at birth. Just love it!

I love meeting new clients and this family was so great! Sweet Chase had just turned one and we were celebrating his big boy status! He was a barrel of laughs and who could resist those cheeks!

We had a super toasty, buggy night so we stripped the little man down and let him run around, and boy did he! The images are just priceless! Cape by the fabulous Pip and Bean.

There is quite the variety in this post. Kaiden just turned 3 and his lovely mommy is pregnant with baby #2, so we crammed it all into one session. Which I do not recommend. We were busy and all tired after the long session. But that doesn't mean we didn't have a blast! Kaiden really is a dream to work with. Adorable, polite, sweet and he sure LOVES his momma! I absolutely love his pics on his trike, just adorable!

Gorgeous Giana's mom is the one who WON my 3 year giveaway and they made the trek from Kearney for a great session. Giana is just a ham and has such a great personality. She was up for anything and the frog pictures prove that. It was so awesome to have such a unique prop to work with and Giana just loved that frog.

Sweet Gia is the daughter of an old co-worker of mine way back in the Tanworld days :) I was so excited when Libby contacted me as I hadn't seen her in years and to be able to capture her sweet first addition was a blessing.
