Happy Anniversary!

2016-02-16T17:01:00.001-06:00

This Valentine's Day was my anniversary! This particular one was so special to not only me, but my husband as well, simply because it was the first one we have been able to truly celebrate. My weekend started off with having to pack a bag for a surprise dinner and getaway.

We stayed at the Marriott Vanderbilt in Nashville and the hotel was one of the more beautiful Marriotts I have stayed in! Once we checked in we had a little while before we needed to head to dinner. Even at this point I still didn't know where dinner was at haha!

We decided to take a cab since it was only a few minutes away and we both wanted to be able to have a drink or two. So of course once we were in the cab I found out our reservation was for Giovanni Ristorante in Nashville..

My tropical punch cocktail was amazing... and a decent size drink too!

Loved the atmosphere and service that was provided as well. The desserts were amazing as well!!

While at dinner Robert gave me my anniversary/Valentine's Day gift, which was a gorgeous rose gold ring with a Morganite gem. My favorite combo, and one I have wanted for about a year!

We left the restaurant and headed back to the hotel for another drink and then had the perfect ending to a beautiful celebration!

This year truly marked six amazing years with an amazing man and daddy to our three beautiful kids!! I can't wait to see what crazy adventures the next 6 bring!

County Fair

2015-11-04T20:56:00.001-06:00

About a month ago we attended our county fair.. One of my good friends and her daughter joined us since she was there for the pageant. We went on the perfect night when there were no lines and the kids rode almost all the rides for free! I filmed a couple little scenes and took lots of pictures.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Baby Shower!

2015-10-28T02:51:00.002-05:00

On the 17th I threw a baby shower for my sister. She is finally having a little boy, Yay!!! I wanted her theme to feel somewhat elegant so I went with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Here are a few pics of how the special day went...

My favorite picture from the day is actually the one above haha! No filter or anything.

I took a vase that I had and stuffed it with Tiffany blue streamer and put some fake flowers down in it for the decoration for the food table. For the menu cards I made them on pic monkey and printed them off through Wal-Mart.com. We had sausage balls, assorted muffins, doughnuts, and scrambled eggs on the food table.

I set up a yogurt bar where you could create your own parfait! I sliced up bananas, and strawberries, and had greek yogurt (the walmart brand which is AMAZING), granola, and blueberries! This was a huge hit!

I couldn't help but take a pic of mine lol!

The table decor was very simple, and I just left the two vases of flowers I already had on my dining table haha! I already had some plastic (but real looking) plates with silver trim, that were leftover from Elizabeth's Cinderella party. Of course we also had to have the Tiffany blue forks and napkins to go with the theme of the shower.

There was also a drink station that I had put together on the bar cart, I am not sure where the pic went though. The glasses we used were the champagne ones from the dollar tree. Again, to feel fancy haha!

This awesome diaper cake became the decor for all of our group pictures! I love that Catelin's friend made it to match the colors. I am not sure if that was intentional or not though.

We also dressed to go with the entire theme! Little black dresses and pearls!

Zoie turned 5 and Ariel came!

2015-10-01T16:16:00.002-05:00

I don't usually post much about my nieces, but this year my sister asked if she could have Zoie's party at my house. Of course I said yes haha! Zoie wanted a Little Mermaid party this year, which is funny because Elizabeth's Cinderella party originally was the Little Mermaid. So I already had a few ideas in my head and just incorporated them into the decor for this party!

By the way, this will be my last post catching you all up on what's going on. This party is from this past Saturday. Michael's was actually from September 19th. So both happened within a week, and both were at my house!

As I have said before, I am no photographer. But I was a little proud of how my pictures from the party turned out!

Ariel was played by my lovely bff/co-worker that volunteered! She did wonderful too!

Just hanging with Ariel being goofy! #bffgoals haha!

She ate with the birthday girl too.

We decided to do as much decorating as we could before the party!

My crazy sister bought Zoie trick candles hahahaha!! So mean, but it was hilarious to watch!

The gift Uncle Rob and I got... we also made sure to get the furniture since it wasn't included.

My sister is also pregnant! That's another update.. Finally, another boy! Baby Sawyer will be having his shower this month at my house also!

Sissy rented a princess castle and luckily the rain held off until right before the party ended.

Ariel is a little silly sometimes haha! Such a cute pic though.

Princess Zoie is now 5! Where does the time go? Auntie Lindsey loves you!

My little princess with Ariel!

We stayed up late having a girls night with wine and decorating the night before!

Zoie's face when her house we got her entered the room! Priceless!

It was definitely a successful party! Now to start planning for Elizabeth's 5th birthday that's in just 6 months!

Michael's 11th Minecraft Party!

2015-10-01T15:50:00.001-05:00

Let me just start this post off by letting you all know two things. One: I know absolutely nothing about Minecraft! Two: I am still learning my camera even almost a year later haha! Don't you judge me lol. Michael really wanted a Minecraft party, so I definitely had to wing it.

He got some really cool gifts this year, like UT football tickets, a UT jacket, and a personalized Minecraft painting I had a friend do! I probably should've gotten him something else, now I don't know what to do for Christmas haha!

Singing Happy Birthday!

For party favors I made perler bead keychains to look like the Minecraft characters!

We had the boys build a fort! I collected lots of boxes from my job. Working in a restaurant definitely pays off haha!

Once again my cake lady came through!

The girls were building an um...castle?!

Chicken nuggets and mini corn dogs were on the menu, I tried to keep it somewhat themed!

My little ballerina and soccer star!

2015-10-01T15:39:00.001-05:00

Since moving, we have also been able to put the kids in sports. Elizabeth is now taking ballet/tap at the same dance studio I went to. Michael now plays soccer and is doing great! Here are a couple pics from his first soccer game last month, and Elizabeth in her ballet get-up..

Michael's first soccer game!

I absolutely love the way this pic I took turned out! The colors are so vibrant!

Elizabeth's dance class and one of her pics:

Right after her first dance class.. and she fell in LOVE!

I snapped this pic of them and their stretching hehe! She is in the black.

This along with her other two ballet pics are my absolute favorites.. There are just no words to describe how cute I think this pic is!

Ahoy Matey Landon turned 2!

2015-10-01T15:30:00.000-05:00

Landon loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so of course that was his theme! Or, "ho ho" as he calls it haha!

We had to kids inflatable pools, since Landon's birthday is in the summertime it was super hot! I HAD to have this pirate ship pool for the kids, and we also had a jungle pool too.

My cutie birthday boy.

A friend took some of the pics with my camera and this one is my favorite!

The little treasure map leading to the front door that I made out of duct tape.

This was suppose to be a cute pic of us three, but Rob decided to be a weirdo!

Gave out mini beach balls as party favors, and the kids played with them in the pools.

Elizabeth in the jungle pool.

Once again, my cake lady went above and beyond and I love it!

Michael helping Landon learn to ride his new 4 wheeler we got him!

I catch him riding this in the house sometimes too now.. he loved it!

A few Easter pics!

2015-10-01T15:20:00.001-05:00

I tried my best to get a few decent pics this year for Easter, and the kiddos just weren't having it at all! So here are a few that I snapped.

Landon looked so adorable this year!

This was the best one I could get of the three of them... then afterwards realized Elizabeth's hair was so messed up haha!

I was happy I captured this moment of all my boys!

Michael's dress pants ended up being too big, so he wore jeans at the last minute, and decided to not use his Easter basket too lol!

Elizabeth's 4th Cinderella Party!

2015-10-01T15:09:00.001-05:00

We moved back to TN at the end of March, which is when I went back to my old job. That following week Elizabeth turned 4 and had a Cinderella themed party, which definitely excited me haha!

Since moving here I have a cake lady now and so far every time she does just what I ask!

This picture just melts my heart.. Daddy and his little princess!

For table decor I bought plain silver plates from party city, and the champagne glasses for the apple juice came from the Dollar tree!

The birthday girl!

We even had Cinderella come to the party! She was actually a friend's daughter that agreed to do this and for that I am truly thankful. The other Cinderella in the area was out of the country at this time. She took pictures with the girls, ate with them, and opened gifts with Elizabeth!

She was definitely surprised when Cinderella showed up!

It was definitely a successful party! I can't believe my little girl is already 4 years old!

Christmas and Winter 2014!

2015-10-01T14:59:00.002-05:00

So, as I stated in my last post, the next few posts are going to be catching you guys all up haha! This first one in line is just a few pics from this past Christmas.

Keep in mind that I had just gotten my camera, so I was still a newbie haha! Heck, even now I am still learning.

We got lots of snow this past Christmas... I even filmed an OOTD on this exact snow day!

Oh and if you are looking for an inexpensive DIY gifts I filmed this tutorial!

In fact: I did a lot of filming in December and have a series called HollyDaze if you wanna check some of those out.

Where the heck did I go?!

2015-10-01T14:51:00.001-05:00

I just realized it's been almost a year since my last post on this blog. That definitely makes me a little sad considering this blog started off as my first, sorta my baby. If you have been following me the last almost 5 years, then you know that my beauty blog aka Foxxy Beauty has definitely taken over. Because I have been so MIA I have decided to do a few separate posts filling you guys in a little bit on how things are going with the family! Oh, and I started a new job after we moved at the end of March... so there's that too haha. Now head on over to my next post to see what I have been up to.

How Our Thanksgiving Went Down!

2014-12-02T21:25:00.002-06:00

Here is a little peek at our Thanksgiving! This year it was just myself, the hubby, and the kiddos... so our meal wasn't as large as what we normally do!

Landon! Honestly I think this picture was taken the day before, but I can't remember haha!

sweet potato casserole! I never liked this dish until I made it last year... now I LOVE it!

green bean casserole has always been my all time favorite!

The turkey after the hubby had carved it!

Cranberry sauce.. only my oldest and hubby like this stuff haha!

Michael!

Elizabeth... she had fallen a few days prior and scraped her nose all up!

Normally my mom would make the dressing... this year my hubby did and it turned out great!

Rolls.... duh lol!

Elizabeth again!

An adorable little shot of my hubby and Landon!

I started taking pictures while I was setting the table.... so here are a couple! I also realized this year that I really want to get some great decor, tablecloths, napkins, and serving dishes for holiday dinners!

This last picture was only taken because I got a new camera as my Christmas gift, and am obsessed with the great zoom quality lol!

I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving!

No-Bake Halloween Snack

2014-10-30T22:50:00.002-05:00

Hey everyone! Here is a super quick and easy no-bake Halloween treat. I love this because of three reasons: number one it's super easy and the kids can even help, number two it involves oreos, and the third reason is just because it's so cute haha! I actually started this video off with more than one treat and then realized I forgot some things in order to make them. So hopefully you all don't mind this short but "sweet" video! See what I did there? Hehehehe! :)

DIY Glow-in-the-dark Nerf party!!

2014-09-23T13:16:00.002-05:00

Michael's 10th birthday party was over the weekend and I am so excited to share with all of you the final results!

We used neon colored and glow-in-the-dark paints and hung moisture barrier on our basement walls to paint. Moisture barrier is a thick black plastic that typically is used under a house. It's is great because we were able to cover the window in our basement to keep the light out, we bought it at Lowe's for around $13 a roll! We originally bought 2 rolls and ended up with one small wall that needed to be covered, so we bought 2 black plastic table clothes from the dollar tree which worded really great since they weren't covering up a window or anything!

This is the wall with the black table clothes!

For the barriers for them to hide behind, we took boxes and taped them together and then used glow in the dark tape and some glow in the dark paint to line them so the kids could see them in the dark!

I bought a pack of 10 targets from Wal-Mart and used them for decor as well as Nerf guns that he already had and placed them out for decor!

My hubby made his cake which turned out great! It was originally going to be a darker blue but the icing just wouldn't go darker for some reason... the Nerf darts and target he made out of fondant and I made his name out of fondant to look like the Nerf logo.

I bought a blue and white striped pendant banner and cut out foam letters to spell "Nerf or Nothin" and then glued them on.. In my dining room I have a big canvas so I wrapped it with white wrapping paper and then cut out pictures from a big Nerf box he already had to use for decoration.

The solid color gift bags I bought at Michael's... they also came with red but the red didn't match the color scheme we had decided on. For party favors I bought the off brand Nerf guns that you can find. The ones I bought came from K-Mart online and were 2 in a pack for around $6.99, they also had the darts that came with the guns, clear safety glasses, and glow in the dark bracelets!

After much debating with myself I decided on making mini taco bowls and mini cheese and pepperoni pizzas (which were a big hit). We also had some veggies with dip, cheese puffs, and chips and dip! The pic above was obviously taken after a lot of the food had been eaten haha! Just so you know, this was enough to feed all 7 of the boys that came, along with Michael, Elizabeth, Landon, me, the hubby, one of the parents, and my hubby's cousin! For drinks I bought a ton of the Mondo's and Kool Aid drinks that are $1 for 6 drinks... I also offered Mt. Dew and Orange soda just to have a variety, and because my hubby LOVES Mt. Dew haha!

I took several pictures of the gift table... this one was taken before the last 3 boys came and before I remembered the 4 other cards he had in the mail haha!

The invites I ordered from Zazzle.com and they turned out really great! They don't look very black in the picture since this was still with the plastic on them... but they do have a black background..

DIY Fall Photos

2014-09-09T17:00:00.002-05:00

Last year it was really important to me to start capturing photos of all three of my kids together.. So I had to start getting creative when it came to doing their fall picture myself, since I am not a photographer.

I am actually super happy with how they turned out.... and they are super festive too haha!!

Finding a place to take the picture was a really simple decision. We have a tree in our front yard where tons of leaves fall every year. So I knew I had to take the picture right after they fell or they would all be gone soon after. For decorations I used not only the leaves that had just fallen, but some pumpkins we had just purchased for Halloween, so before we carved them they became some extra decor haha! It took several shots just to get the above pic, since Landon was getting fussy and squirmy and the sunlight was shining right in their eyes.... but afterwards I did get lots of comments on it, so I am definitely pleased!

If any of you have any ideas for some DIY photos please let me know... I am always searching for ideas.. I do have several pinned on my pinterest if any of you are interest or in search of some inspiration! Also, we even did a DIY Easter shoot of the kids, so I will have to remember to share it with you all when it gets closer to time.

DIY momma some days haha,

DIY Mickey Mouse Birthday Party!

2014-09-06T15:18:00.000-05:00

This blog use to be such a huge passion of mine... and I hate that it gets neglected far too much! So if any of you are still out there reading this here is how I did a total DIY birthday party for Landon's first birthday!!

He decided to start his birthday off with a "no pants kinda day" haha!

To start off with I bought blank bags from Michael's craft store and a pack of construction paper... so for Minnie and Mickey I bought solid black bags and for Pluto and Daisy(not pictured) I had solid white bags. I cut out yellow construction paper and covered the white bag for Pluto!

I thought making food labels was a cute idea... so that's what I did! We had "Minnie's Macaroni" which we used Bow Tie pasta for, "Goofy's Garden" for veggies, "Hot Diggity Dogs" which were pigs in a blanket, "Figaro's Fruity Drinks", "CLUBhouse Sandwiches" which were just sandwiches we made, and "Chips and Dale" which were chips and dip!

I almost made one for the utensils and labeled it "Handy Helpers".. I bought white card stock from Michael's crafts and stickers from the scrapbook section at Michael's as well.

My dad made the sign and I took paints and painted it.

My hubby made the cake to be the shape of Mickey's head and then the top half was black and the bottom half was red with two places to look like the buttons on his pants.

I would also like to point out that at the last minute we realized we forgot something to put the cake on haha.... so I used cardboard from a box and wrapped it with aluminum foil!

The labels for his name I made with stars that came in one of the Mickey Mouse craft kits from Michael's.. they had sticky pieces on the back already so they stuck perfectly to toothpicks to go down in the cake!

Since Landon's party was in the summer we were originally going to have it outdoors, but it ended up being WAY too hot, so we did it in my mom's church instead!

He was so sleepy in the pics above but I still wanted to share.. I don't have a good pic of his shirt to show you... but I made it as well! I bought him a plain white t-shirt and cut black felt in the shape of Mickey's head, along with a red number one made with felt. Then I used fabric glue to glue them to the shirt!

I forgot to take a good pic of the centerpieces but if you look closely at the balloons you can see a peek of the red... I used old formula cans ,or coffee cans work too, and painted them red. I painted the lids to them black, and then painted two white circles on the cans for Mickey's buttoms... then I poked a tiny hole in the top for the string for the balloons... this probably would've worked way better if the balloons had helium!

For his invite I went digital... and FREE haha! I used a website called clubpartyideas.com and I really love the way they turned out! Please note that the party hats and balloons are not part of the invite.. I added those on picmonkey to cover up personal information!

In the end I was really happy with the way it all turned out and got lots of compliments!! I would love to hear some of your DIY parties... right now I am planning a DIY glow-in-the-dark Nerf party for Michael who will be 10 this month!!

Baby Landon Vlog!

2014-04-13T00:16:00.002-05:00

This is a quick little video that I uploaded yesterday that I thought was funny. Landon has this thing that he loves to do now, where when you shake your head he likes to do it back.... OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND... well you get the idea haha! He things it is absolutely hilarious. Mostly he just does it with Daddy, so when other people do it with him he waits for them to do it once, and then laughs at them lol!

When he first started shaking his head no we were in the grocery store and I thought there was something wrong with him.... now he just does it to everything lol! If you have kids then you know they learn to say no really early in life haha!

Can you believe he is almost a year old now! I am so excited that I have already been looking up lots of fun ideas to do for his party. Most likely it will be Mickey Mouse since he LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

xoxo

Princess Sofia Birthday!

2014-04-13T00:11:00.000-05:00

Elizabeth's third birthday party was last week. Still can hardly believe she is already three! I started this vlog just right before she was born, so it only feels right to share with everyone.

She wanted to have a Sofia birthday party so that is what we did. After we celebrated at home she had also informed us months ago that she wanted to go to the zoo haha. Which was fine with us, since it is free here anyways.

I used things that she already had in her room for decorations. Like her singing teapot for a centerpiece, and her play castle that she actually got last year for her birthday.

I even set up a little princess table with beads on the chairs, more pieces of her play castle, and her money bank castle that usually stays on her dresser since it is breakable!

Her tiara was $2 well spent haha! She love wearing it!

Clearly I got a little carried away taking pictures!

More decorations! Usually I hang balloons from the lights... but this year I hung the lanterns that you can buy at Wal-Mart instead.

The princess card from her brothers that her oldest brother picked out.... and the Sofia card from Mommy and Daddy!

Her Sofia dress! This was the first gift she opened because I wanted her to be able to wear it. This dress has been the best $20 I ever spent haha! She literally wants to wear it ALL the time.. she even wore it to the zoo and little girls wanted to come up and talk to her because of her wearing it lol... Too Cute!

On Daddy's shoulders at the zoo... as you can see he was doing double duty pushing the stroller with Landon in it too haha!

I almost forgot to get a picture of all three of them! This was right before we left.... she was starting to get fussy and didn't want to take a pic. BTW... the gold thing is a frog statue.

I took other pictures too but they were all on my camera and haven't been uploaded yet to my laptop. These were the ones I had on my phone.

Hope you all enjoyed sorta celebrating with us!

xoxo

Super late Christmas videos!!!!

2014-04-12T23:48:00.003-05:00

So I have just ultimately failed and getting back in to blogging on this blog! Truthfully though I just forget completely. I get so caught up in my every day life and trying my very best to always post on my beauty blog and upload to my beauty channel, that this one gets really neglected.

Just to kinda fill you all in since my last post this is what all has been going on in my life the last couple of months!

Elizabeth turned three!!! I can't believe it myself.... my little princess is now a three-nager haha! I will make my next post about her birthday... so you can get a little glimpse in to how we celebrated.

A few weeks ago my husband was in a car wreck. Thankfully he was perfectly fine, but the car was totaled unfortunately! With that being said, we have a lot going on with the insurance company as well as the place we had our car through which was VW credit. They have all been really great about everything... it has just turned in to a way longer process than what we thought it would be.

Now moving on to today's post. I really wanted to share a little bit of how our Christmas went so I thought I would show you all my Holiday House Tour video that is also uploaded to my youtube channel at http://youtube.com/themrsfoxxy as well my show you all the Christmas morning vlog that I put together. I really hope you all enjoy and keep a look out for Elizabeth's birthday post next!

My mini me!

2014-02-22T23:39:00.000-06:00

I am sure you have all noticed that it has been a lil while since my last post! I have had so many electronic issues the last 6 months or so that it has been unreal! On the plus side though, I finally got my new phone last week and my new laptop was suppose to arrive by Thursday but there was a delay, so it won't be here until either Monday or Tuesday now.

Luckily, since I so have my new phone I am able to do some short and sweet lol blog posts for you all until my laptop gets here.

Elizabeth wanted to have some fun and take some pictures with me the other day while waiting to daddy. Let me go ahead and inform you that she never wants me to be the one taking pictures of her! She is now at the age where she wants to do it herself...

Love it when she wants to make silly faces with me!

I know that it has also been a while since any pictures of Landon or Michael was posted, so my next post is going to be some pictures from this Christmas! I also filmed a Christmas morning video, so you can check that video out on my Youtube channel. You are all going to be shocked at how big Landon has gotten as well as Michael!

Xoxo,
Lindsey
