Linkin Park were nominated for The Best Song In a Video Game for the MTV Game Awards, and yesterday the winners of the MTV Game Awards were announced by MTVLA (MTV Latin America) via Twitter. The MTV Game Awards will be on MTVLA on Sunday, November 27.

RIP Steve Jobs

First computer of Mike Shinoda's family was an Apple. Mike remembers learning to write in it, a play game which are calculated words per minute. His mother was studying to become a court reporter, and able to write very quickly caught the letters with his two index fingers as fast as he could to see if he could get half as good as her result. His father worked in aerospace engineering, and was impressed with the life of his computer at work, so Mike's father decided to get one for his house. The whole family shared time on it, working and playing. He remembers to use it to write reports, and play game like Logo, LodeRunner. and Gold Rush. As he got older, his interest changed, and his time in the "Macontosh" has been eclipsed by Nintendo, and later a Sony Discman.

In college, Mike was reintroduced in a new way of Apple. After many years spent honing his skills in drawing and painting. He hadn’t yet had the chance to bring those illustrations into the computer. At the Art Centre, a computer lab has had a huge underground complex of rooms filled with computers. And the equipment of choice for designers and artists at the Art Center was Apple. Mike loved the design, it seemed built to make art. And once it was his computer for art, has become his computer for music. It 'hard to think of all the ways that the vision of Steve Jobs has built a foundation on which to work and create products: Apple products have been used to make each piece of music of Linkin Park has ever written, made every album cover and posters designed, and all their music videos, commercials, LPTV and websites.

"From the creation of our songs, art, and videos to the devices our fans enjoy them on, Steve Jobs’ vision has made an indelible imprint on everything we do. Multiplying that out into all the other bands and artists in the world who also use Apple products to write and record their songs or edit videos, movies, TV shows, art and photos, it’s hard to imagine anyone who has played a bigger role in shaping the world of modern art and music." Mike Shinoda said on his blog.

Chester's Shoulder Surgery

Linkin Park posted in Linkinpark.com about the cancel of Deluna Fest because Chester will have shoulder surgery :

"We regret that we must withdraw from our October 16 performance at DeLuna Fest in Pensacola, FL. As much as we were looking forward to rocking our final date of the year with our Florida fans, Chester has been advised to have immediate shoulder surgery as a result of an injury he sustained during our recent tour in Asia.
We are sorry for any disappointment this has caused and look forward to seeing you again soon.

"A Thousand Suns", Linkin Park's revolutionary new album released in 2010 exceeded the expectations of fans everywhere. And the revolution comes to Japan. Before the start of the final leg of their "Thousand Suns Tour", Linkin Park will present a unique charity art show honoring the victims of the March 11th earthquake and tsunami disaster. A brand new art film featuring an as-of-yet unreleased Joe Hahn remix will be screened at this unique event hosted at Tokyo's NicoFarre event space and simultaneously live webcase via NicoNico Douga.
