As many of you know, our Lion Brand Yarn Company NYC store was originally set to close its doors on April 2, 2020. In recent years, like many other retailers, we’ve faced challenges maintaining a traditional brick and mortar storefront. 

As we prepared for the store closure, we were carefully tracking the recommendations put out by the CDC, and state and local government regarding COVID-19. Following New York City’s announcement regarding school and business closures beginning on Monday, March 16, we have decided to close our NYC store early, effective immediately, in advance of our originally planned permanent closure on April 2.

We want to thank the NYC team for their tireless support and commitment to Lion Brand Yarn Company. We also would like to express our gratitude to our NYC-based customers. Once again, this was a very difficult decision to close the store and even more heartbreaking to announce the news during this national health crisis.
