New Logo and Mascot!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jillian of Funny Allergen Free Girl, to create a new logo and mascot for her website. I really enjoyed working on this project, Jillian has a really fun, quirky personality that she really wanted to come through on her branding pieces. So I worked out something whimsical and cartoony and came up with these:

Can’t wait to see them…

Yes, You CAN Use CSS3 in IE!

For a long time, I’ve been resigned to the idea that I would just have to continue using images to create drop shadows, gradients, and rounded corners in our websites. Yes, CSS3 is out there, and fabulous, but what good is it if IE8 (and older) doesn’t support it?

Yesterday, I made a discovery that changed all that. I found CSS3Pie – a script that enables…

To Ease the Pain of Developing for Internet Explorer…

I found this excellent script to recreate HTML5 elements in any version of Internet Explorer lower than 9. It worked like a charm for me, so I’m including it here for 2 reasons:

To share the wealth!

To save it so I can locate it easily next time I need to use it

Hope it helps!

Almost a New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know it’s been really busy for us here at LFS, and we feel really blessed to have plenty of new projects that we’ll be launching as the new year rolls around; as well as new projects we’re starting!

I just wrapped up a new promo image for Catch My Party. It’s a little image Jillian wanted to use on their…

A Dash of Compassion

We love our food bloggers! And I’m definitely a big fan of anyone who loves to bake and shares their delicious recipes. Nicole of A Dash of Compassion had approached us about helping her redesign her website.

I really loved how passionate she felt about animals and baking, and how she was so eager to share her vegan dessert recipes. We worked together to create a new logo:…

Nourished Logo

We created a new logo for Nourished, a new food blogger conference for those with eating/food sensitivities! We love working with Amy Green of Simply Sugar and Gluten Free who is helping to throw this event together.

Check out the logo:

New Custom WordPress Site for Eating With Purpose

We had the pleasure of working with Kristin Kons of Eating With Purpose on developing a new logo and website. And we are happy to announce it’s completion! It was an amazing process – I love being able to working with an individual to help develop branding for their company from scratch. We worked together to create a new logo to match her brand new website, and to also…

Poster for Simply Sugar and Gluten Free

One of my favorite food blogs is Simply Sugar and Gluten Free, by Amy Green. It was really exciting to be able to work on her logo and website redesign, since I had been visiting her site for recipe ideas. She recently asked me to work on a couple of graphic design projects for her that incorporated the new branding, one of which was this poster that needed to…

Discover Gluten Freedom

We’ve had plenty of projects going on over the past weeks and months, and we’re always excited when we wrap things up and get to share the results. A recent logo and web project has been Discover Gluten Freedom, with Melinda Tucker. We worked with her to get a new logo out for her brand, and to quickly get a website going where she will be featuring episodes of…

Introducing…Lion Face Studio!

Rhiannon and I have been hard at work getting ready to launch our new and improved web presence, complete with a fancy name change. We outgrew our old name and look, and needed to shake things up a bit. So, without further ado, 21 Ruby Lane is now Lion Face Studio!

We’re the same dynamic duo that you’ve always known and loved, but with a makeover. We look forward…
