K.P Lennon an incredibly talented illustrator and producer of things. But most of all, Kerry seeks world domination (I mean, who doesn't want to seek that eh?). She's recently started a new project called 365 days of the sh*t people say and to my knowledge there is a bucketload of sh*t that people say on a daily basis. So for 365 days you'll be receiving a healthy daily illustrated dose of some of the sh*t peopple say.

Black Forest

2012-06-20T14:11:00.003-07:00

The first time I saw Larissa Hadjio's designs was when I featured Beyond The Valley Spring/Summer collection in 2011 'Cosmic Tropicalia'. I was struck by the Daja Black bum bag that instantly gave a sense of style, elegance and a great deal of artistic interpretation. Larissa grew up in Southern Germany, spent time in Argentina and Panama, studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and has been living and working in London ever since. Her work is all about playfulness and pure delight –turning sculptures into wearable objects. True to her philosophy and ideas about wearable art The Diamond Object collection exudes craftsmanship, detail and care in each piece created. For this collection she has combined fine leather and suede creating 3D shaped diamond bags.

Black Forest is a collaboration between Florest and sculptor Sarah Purchase and Larissa Hadjio to create a wonderful installation including including her new collection The Diamond Object collection. For more information on Larissa's designs, head to her website or find her on Facebook.

Baked and Caked!

Dare I say I tried and tried but couldn't finish this piece of cake! No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't finish this wonderfully, delicious rich Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake. It was such a lovely treat to stop by Bea's of Bloomsbury to meet a friend and to over indulge on their scrumptious cakes and coffee. From Strawberries and Cream cupcakes to Lemon Berry Cheese cake, it must be said, it took my quite a while to decide what I wanted. Go ahead TREAT yourself!

FÜNF AUFRÄUMEN by Howitzweissbach

2012-05-06T06:20:00.001-07:00

I did a feature a little while ago on Howitzweissbach's winter collection High Class Robbery and was over the moon when I received an email from Eva Howitz to watch their highlights from Paris Fashion Week 2012. I must say, there is quite a difference between the two collections and it only points out how talented and creative the people behind Howitzweissbach's are. High Class Robbery was filled with bold colour explosions, transparency and great attention and detail that each piece had. Their new collection FÜNF AUFRÄUMEN, I find mesmerizing and highly detailed with a hit of 'reserved'.

I am a great fan of their work and might sound biased as I fall in love with every piece they produce and the story or theme their collections have. There has been a long debate between myself and a dear friend about the lack of garments that truly highlight and show off the beauty of the female back. So when I saw the collection and how beautiful the garments are fitted whilst showing what I believe to be the sexiest body part in a female, I can only smile with cheer delight at how amazing this collection is. Teamed up with precise colours and tailoring, FÜNF AUFRÄUMEN is filled with sophistication and a great hint of drama. They create garments that are wearable and open for interpretation, one thing I know for sure, Howitzweissbach is one label that is only going to go from strength to strength!

Within their collection there are a few pieces that are transparent, I find the colours on this dress out of this world as Howitzweissbach know to what capacity to use colour and how to create cuts that take you on a wonderful dream. I'm a great fan of how the green colour on the dress looks like waves washed away.
