My hat muse

I'm a huge fan of Rosie Huntington-Whitely in case I didn't mention that already. Not only she's stunningly beautiful but she also has an amaaazing style! She does inspire me a lot and sometimes I take certain details from her looks. I love how she wears fedora hats! She often does that and it looks fantastic on her! I was on the hunt on a hat similar to hers but the prices start from about 100 euros. I'm not quite ready to pay this much for a hat so I just spotted a lovely sparkly fedora in Bershka and I really love it. I like hats in general, they are just so cool and complete a look but the problem with them is that you cannot wear them when it's windy out. Which is 80% of the time where I live.

Anyway, I'll surely get more hats for the spring-summer season and wear them with some cool sunglasses. Pairing hats with Ray Ban aviators or wayfayers is my fave look!

Lipstick army

I love lipsticks, let's just make that clear. I don't think I will ever have enough of them. I think it's such a feminine and powerful tool. Yes, I just called lipstick a tool. It can boost your confidence in only a matter of one swipe. You can leave lipstick prints on your cups(hence the blog name) or napkins which I find very sexy or get your man weak at the knees.

Red lipstick in particular is my favourite. The perfect red to me is probably a cool pink toned red in a very deep colour. Lipstick has to be rich and creamy, smell lovely and last at least a while. Although, I don't mind reapplying my lipstick, it's an enchanting process by itself.

Being of a pale, very pale complexion that is, I think I can pull of red or simply dark vampy lip quite well. Nude lipsticks don't really work for me, they just make me look deadly, washed out and just boring. So, to make a contrast and give some colour to my fair self, I like to rock a bold lip.

Orange based reds look terrible on me, or even just true reds, I don't have the right colouring for that. I think you should have more tanned or olive skin to pull these off. Gimme burgundys, plums, wines, pink reds, blue reds anytime, I'll rock them like nobody's business:)

I've been wearing this lately quite a lot and it's one of my fave looks, especially perfect for winter. Nothing much on the face, nothing or champagne wash of colour on the lids, lots of mascara and a bold lip. BOOM! You've got a super sophisticated glamorous everyday look which is more than easy to achieve! I love that. Quick and easy? I'm game.

Self indulgence on Valentine's day

I do not care about Valentine's day. Does someone? I mean, do you people really think that this is the day when you are supposed to show love for your partner/boyfriend/lover/dog? My answer is no. However, this global Valentine's day shopping craze acted for me as a perfect excuse to do some shopping. Not that I needed to but just to treat myself with a couple of things I've been wanting. Did it satisfy my soul? Definitely so!

I feel like everything is very spring-like. Bring on colour to my life! Can you not wait for the spring also?

Now onto the things I got. Some Zara sale purchases going on here. Are they ever gonna end their sales? That's too dangerous for me. Even if I think I got everything I wanted, between unnecessary things I find VERY necessary items. So, I got pink jeans. Yeah, I know I'll look like a walking cotton candy or an ice cream. I mind it not. A sweathshirt with French words (because they cannot use English, French= chic). I like it a lot actually, would even wear it out for casual days.

Next up beauty products because how you can ever have enough of those? Not me.

I got two Mavala nail polishes:

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Emerveille because it's too beautiful not to get to and I wanted a

champagne-y all-over-the-lid-wash-of-color type of thing in a cream form. This is perfect, quick and easy for the mornings and gives that glowy bright eyed look for the daytime.

Dolce & Gabanna Rose The One perfume. I'm in love. It's such a beautiful rose! Musky rose, very young and modern. Nothing like the powdery old lady rose (although I love those sometimes). It's radiant, feminine and classy. Think of a well mannered sophisticated young lady in a black dress with a glass of pink champagne in her hands.

To complete my self indulgence on this very (not)important day, I had to finish it with some mouthwatering cake. It's Napoleon, probably the mostly well made I've ever tried. My soul is officially happy.

And here's what she comes home with...It's always like this, isn't it? Wether I go to buy only bread or milk, I always end up with a bunch of unnecessary things. This was my trip to go and buy something to eat with my evening tea. I feel like the grocery store staff is very smart, they always put out the most tempting things right on your way. I go my usual grocery store path and just pick up everything that's distracting my bread-focused attention.

Pretty packaging? Check. Reasonably healthy/unhealthy? Check. Pretty colors? Check. This is very typical of me.

I almost indulged myself with some Phyto hair care products (been wanting to try them) but then had to remind to myself that I'm only here for some tasty snack!

-Glade Honey and Chocolate candle. This is amazing! I got so excited when I saw it, it's a candle made for me! And it is slightly reminiscent of Tom Ford Black Orchid perfume. My mum confirmed that, she said it's typically your type of candle plus you have a perfume like this! Well, they both contain chocolate note so what do you expect. Anything Black Orchid-like is a win win for me!

In case you were dumb and didn't know what it was. It's a mug. It's lilac and it has dots on!! Thank God there was a sticker explaining what it is, I would not know what to do with this ceramic thing!

On another note, I wore red lip today. The nude lip worshipers may think I'm crazy, maybe I am but I love that! At first I wasn't feeling very brave goofing around with my red lips but then I thought, what the hell, why would I be uncomfortable about that! Life is too short to care what other people think of you. I may not want to wear red lips when I'm 70, let's enjoy it now!

I've been particularly loving this look as you see in the pics below: Minimal skin and eyes and a deep lip. I feel like I can pull this look off very well being super pale and having blond hair. Nude lips would make me look like a walking dead.

I think this may turn into my everyday look for the upcoming weeks, months or until I get bored of it.

I've also noticed that the amount of attention I get increased x3. Not only from girls, I must say male audience definitely favors a red lip!

This lipstick is the bomb! I've found my perfect red! All the props go to Diana http://blog.adventuresofbarbarella.com. This is exactly what I've been looking for! It's a pink red, such a delicious raspberry colour, I cannot get enough of it! It's cool toned and that's what I need my red to be.

I must say, however, that I have't tried Red Lizard by Nars. Just yet. I'm pretty sure it will be the ultimate red of reds for me but until then this is my perfect pre-Red Lizard red!

I love the texture, the finish and application. The lasting power is pretty amazing too! The pictures were taken after 4+ hours of wear and a consumption of an ice cream! What do you say?

These are the pieces that are silently awaiting for me to be purchased. I'm definitely getting all of them, of course if I'll find everything in stores. Sooo obsessed! Cannot wait to posses these spring oozing items! Now the orange craze is quite weird here. I actually hate orange! Always have. There's not a single clothing item or a jewelry piece in my wardrobe that's orange. However, this season orange is gonna be the "it" color along with mint, yellow, pale pink just to name a few. Sooo, now that I will see it everywhere, in fact I already do...I am starting to like it. This happens all the time. You get used to things that are exposed to you. So I thought to myself, why to hate a color. What if I see a stunning piece and won't be able to get it only because it's orange. Anyways, too much ramble, all I'm trying to say is that I am slowly falling in love with the color and will be sure to incorporate these tangerine colored items into my non-orange wardrobe.

First of, this is a gorgeous jacket from Vero Moda, which looks like sh** in the picture. Believe me, it's stunning and sparkly!

Another impulse buy. It happens to me. A lot. But let's face it, who would resist an Armani jacket that's on sale? I needed something warm but short for the winter. I've got a fur coat, it's great for keeping your bum warm but not too practical. I was hoping to find short vintage fox fur coat in Paris but having checked just one store I kind of forgot about it.

Aviator jackets were always some of my favorite winter gear, I just love the look of them so much! You can look both classy and casual in them. Muuba jackets stole my heart but their prices are too hight for my wallet so I was browsing designer store (probably the only one in town), since they were having sale. I immediately headed towards jacket and coat rack. And guess what! There are these two Armani aviator beauties hanging. One was for someone as big as an elephant and this one was my size! I fell in love with the jacket the minute I put it on! It looks so cool and feels so cozy and snuggly! Perfect for wearing with black uggs(you don't need to tell me they're ugly, it's all about warmth) or some leather heeled boots. I cannot believe I spotted it, plus Armani has always been one of the classiest brands in my book.

Now the best aspect of the excitement was that it was 50% off! I'm not gonna tell you the price of it but let's just say that it was only a tiny bit more expensive than Zara winter jackets. Considering it's designer brand, I think it's a pretty good bargain! Should last me for many more winters to come. Fur is not real, which is ok since it's very natural looking and super soft. Very good quality faux, in general I'm not a huge fan of faux fur but this is perfect!

I'm going mental over it, am I not?

J'adore Dior...Bill Gaytten's take

So I've watched Dior's latest collection and I thought I'll share a few pieces that really stood out to me. To be honest, the collection did not impress me at all. I mean, yeah the sheer materials of the dresses were pretty but it didn't left me speechless as you would be after seeing the collection by Galliano.

Although, you cannot blame Gaytten for being way more subtle. He perfectly depicts the style of Dior, he said it's not like he's letting away his creativity and going all crazy with designs. He rather helps to keep the iconic style of Dior, directed towards public. There definitely is something missing, Dior is not the same anymore but I have to say that I like it. It's way more subtle but collections still ooze with luxury and a good taste. As I've mentioned, I'm not too fond of the latest collection but the previous one was rather brilliant, I wouldn't mind owning at least the half of it. Bill Gaytten spent 15 years working with Galliano so he's definitely picked the whole feel and idea behind the brand. I hope Dior will remain one of the most glamorous and luxurious brands and Gaytten won't leave Dior admirers disappointed. I am definitely one of them and so far I'm very pleased to see what the new creative director came up with.

On a side note though, models looked too scary for words. I mean the makeup, the hair and attitude were beautiful but God, look at their bodies! I know it's not something new for Dior, they're known for using super skinny models that have issues with anorexia. Give those girls some food, I'm scared looking at their tiny frames! That's definitely something to be considered, Dior needs healthier looking models!

These are the dresses I loved the most. There is something very Tom Ford-ish about them, especially the second one! I love it the most!

A glimpse into my wardrobe...

I filmed my wardrobe "tour" since it was a requested video and here are some snapshots from it. I seem so into it, I was laughing out loud when I watched the footage of it, you'll see why when you check those pics. haha! So the video turned out 25mins which is baaad since Youtube alows only 15. I managed to edit it up to 19mins. but there's nothing else to cut out...I don't know what to do, I hate chopping everything off, it's not all natural anymore. How 15mins can be enough when you are talking about your fave wardrobe pieces, it's impossible! I included only a midget of what I wanted to say. Sad story.

What I Wore (or no creative title)

May I just say that I love this outfit soo much? This is what I'd wear everyday if I could but considering that it's inappropriate to wear the same thing the next day, I'll stick to once a week choice. To be honest, I cannot even wear this anymore because it became waaay too cold. All I'm sporting now is my new aviator suede jacket, chunky knits and winter-ish boots.

I'm going slightly off topic, let's just stick to what I wanted to say. Well, I think this is one of the more interesting outfits I've worn in quite a while and definitely way more colorful. As long as you consider a black-brown-burgundy combo colorful. I feel very chic in this outfit, it's definitely a trend oriented look, but I love it. It's not something too weird or too trendy, it's very wearable, very elegant. I especially love the uniqueness of this vest, it's definitely not something you see a lot of. Interesting shade, faux fur detailing makes it look like you've got a few layers on. I love mixing textures and patterns.

The boots which I couldn't stop wearing (well, now it's too cold) compliment the vest so well as they are in the same color family, same minimal yet chic touch. And the bag, oh the bag! (insert dramatic voice). Love this little red beauty, it almost feels like a jewel, a perfect way to dress up the outfit. Here's the breakdown of the pieces:

Current Obsessions

I thought I'd do a post on my favorites of the moment. These are just things I wear daily ever since I got them. That say something, right?

To start off, a little bit of skin care ramble. I looove this La Roche Posay Effaclar M Sebo-regulating moisturizer. What a mouthful. It is such a wonderful moisturizer for my skin type, works wonders! It's a very light gel texture that absorbs into the skin within a couple of seconds and acts as a makeup base. My skin is left velvety soft after using it and nothing has worked as good (so far) in terms of oil control. Totally addicted!

Here's my second little addiction. I cannot tell you how much I'm enjoying wearing only skin colored eyeshadow and Teddy by Mac smudged on my top and bottom lashline with a little bit of winged out action going on. That's such a perfect shade of brown, I love the metallic effect that it has yet being subtle and perfect for the day time. It smudges very easily using just a cotton bud. Stays on all day and doesn't move at all. Love!

Here's the eye look I'm talking about. That's a pretty poor example but you get the idea. Nothing too much, feline, subtle and very feminine look.

Now, here's one gimmicky product from Bourjois but apparently I really do love it! It's a two step mascara which you may have heard of already. Step one is a long skinny wand with a natural bristle medium sized brush. Something like Loreal's Voluminous I'd say. This step provides you with elongated, separated and defined lashes. I usually do 2 coats of that and move on to step 2 which is a thick wand with same brush, it only contains a lot more mascara on it. So this step adds more blackness and more drama to your lashes. Perfect for nights out. It does clump your lashes so if you are not a fan of that look, you can skip step 2.

Chanel cream eyeshadow in Ebloui. I wore it during the whole festive season a lot. My cousin said it's gorgeous:) I love how quickly you can achieve a lush smokey eye look using just your fingertips. Plus, the color is totally up my street. Brown and berry mixed together with tons of sparkly reflects. It does not look shimmery on your eyelids at all so don't be afraid of that!

Now the last makeup item I'm using every single day and am so glad I found it is my Loreal True Match powder. Gives a matt finish to my face, controls the oiliness and makes the skin look very polished. It can look powdery at first but throughout the day it gets more natural. I never look oily with it, yay!!

Moving on to the more (or not) exciting stuff. I'm so in love with my Zara burgundy booties! They are so minimalistic and elegant. As they say, less is more. This quote applies to these beauties perfectly. The color adds more character to my outfits and perfectly matches my same color family accessories: bags, scarfs, vest, gloves. Plus, I must say that these are incredibly comfortable! So lovely to walk in, simply for the fact that they fit the arch of my feet like a glove. I'm hooked!

If you can still find them, I highly recommend getting them. But you know sales in Zara...the minute they start, stores are being attacked by people, grabbing everything and then there's abnormal queue for the checkout. Anyways, if you're lucky enough to find them, black or burgundy, just rush to the cashier without trying on. Or else someone will snap them right of your hands. And then you'll be standing there blinking not knowing what has just happened! :)

Another sale treasure of mine. How lovely is this little red leather bag? Shall I call it LRB as in LBD? Well, it's beautiful and I.love.it.to.bits, nothing much else to say, really. The color, the studs, the leather, everything about it feels very luxe and chic. I feel like I'm one of those first rowers at Valentino show wearing it. Nuff' said!

There is nothing much I can say about this outfit because it's uber simple and minimal. Loose fit, classic colors and nothing too intricate. I love wearing outfits like these every now and then. Definitely makes you feel less ladylike but there's something so nice about such outfits. You feel very comfy, not restricted in any way, tight skinny jeans are not sliding off to blind everyone with your buttlocks. Anyways, you can look very elegant wearing even slouchy clothing. Only make sure that they don't make you look like one of those obese highschool kids wearing baggy stuff to cover their fast food stuffed bodies. Chose elegant drappey cuts, classic colors and accessorize.

These are the blouses I wanna get from Zara, sales, hurry up! I've always been a huge fan of blouses, especially Zara ones so I cannot wait to get some of those, they are just so pretty and I love the quality of their blouses.

This one is quite transparent so I'm not very sure about it. It might be tricky to wear but the color is just so pretty plus mint is gonna be a hit for the upcoming season!

New Years Eve look

Have you all checked my New Years Eve makeup look I did which was inspired by Old Hollywood looks and Veronica Lake in particular? You can watch the tutorial on my channel and here are some pics of the look. I personally always loved and always will love this ultra feminine classic and super glamorous make up and hair. It makes me feel like one of the actresses from the 60's, I always get a boost of confidence whenever I put on a red lipstick, wing out my eyeliner and put my hair in rollers. What can be more feminine than this?

Christmassy Paris

So I found a couple of pictures on my camera from my last trip to Paris which I came back from a week ago. There's no way I'm not gonna post them on my blog! I love Paris around Christmas (not the tourists), the lights, the Christmas Village on Champs Elysées, the cozy atmosphere and all that. Although, I must admit that lights on Champs Elysées this year disappointed me. Why did they have to change them? It was so beautiful when they had all the trees on the street wrapped in golden lights, it was magical. But this year they had those weird rings around the trees...why?? Not pretty! The weather was not fantastic I must say, it was raining a lot but nevertheless, I had a wonderful time with my loved one! Here's a couple of snaps for you!
