Another of my textile pieces.This one inspired by my journey as a native New Zealander, the felted merino is dyed with turmeric an Indian spice. I am very influence by Indian culture and know I was an Indian in a past life, as I love the food, the people, the land actually everything Indian. The feathers represent my Maori heritage as they are prominent in traditional Maori cloaks and the Merino motifs symbolise the Maori koru which to me represent new beginnings. I find the piece very restful and a blend of who I am and who I am becoming.....more at Peace with myself. Although I think that is more about turning 43 next month and being a bit more comfortable in my own skin...have a great day...Arohanui (Big Love)..

has been working on these Textile pieces inspired by travels in Rajasthan last year...the dont seem to photograph so well. I think they show up all the imperfections like the fact that they are a bit crooked. But that is what I like about life, the little imperfections everywhere that seem to make everything so perfect. This brings in India with the colourful saree fabric, then the feathers which are very traditional Maori "korowai" cloak like and the merino that I felted and dyed with turmeric an Indian spice. The cross signifies well.....it is kind of about....that God is everywhere and in everything....making all things shine and beautiful..have a blessed day xx

Really loves meeting people who seriously inspire me...and last night I got to spend some time talking with Trelise Cooper..I am always amazed when you meet some one like her for with a big Public profile and who is a very busy woman and yet she takes the time to really engage in conversation..we spoke and she shared about herself and showed me the difference between having her designs made in China and India and how the aesthetics look. I mean really such a wonderful,warm and generous woman...I am left totally in awe of here and inspired by who she is-thanks Trelise for the difference you made to me and many other woman last night and the ripple effect of this!

Have you ever created a Dreamboard? I regularly create them especially when I am wanting to bring something into the world or give birth to something so to speak... I have been wanting to bring more Elegance into my life and my designs so I created this Dreamboard to inspire me..then I watch in the week to come to see how Elegnace manifests in my life and around me...why dont you try this with something that you want to manifest!!

has taken another change of direction in the past 6 months embarking on my fashion design business after my trip to Rajasthan, India last November. I am still doing my Intuitive consultations as my clients need and find this a welcome break from my creative work..so be in touch if you would like to speak with deceased loved ones or are at a cross roads in your life and would like some empowering!
