Please note that the program for this year will see the Milos and younger age groups presented first, so that they don’t have to sit for long.

Also I would recommend that you consider using the club facilities with excellent fare on offer including the regular Monday night specials of “Schnitzel with a Twist” on the menu for just $10.00 ($12.00 for non-members). Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

MILO T20 Blast is a new game format for girls and boys that take participation from skills training to exciting new games of T20. Participants will also develop teamwork skills, make friends and receive an exclusive MILO T20 Blast Pack with a t-shirt, cap and MILO giveaways.

All plastic equipment is supplied including the ball and all games and activities are delivered by accredited NSW Cricket coaches. For a limited period each participant will receive a special promo code that will entitle them to free entry in to a 6ers BBL04 game (with a paying adult) and also a chance to win a club training session with a 6ers player (T&Cs apply).

T20 Blast Programs

Over the course of January, Cricket NSW will be conducting T20 Blast Holiday Programs. For every registration, each participant will receive free entry into any BBL04 game and go in to the draw to win a training session with a 6ers player (T&Cs apply).

These Holiday Programs will run at:

• Erina Oval, Erina – 5^th and 6^th January (8.30am-2.30pm)
• Hamlyn Terrace Oval, Hamlyn Terrace – 7^th and 8^th January (8.30am-2.30pm)

Further to this we are also running centres in Term 1, in conjunction with clubs who have expressed strong interest in hosting a program and working closely with Cricket NSW to increase cricket participation on the Central Coast. Please see below for venues and for our free come and try events:

•  The Haven, Terrigal – Tuesday 13^th January 2015 (4.30pm – 6pm)
•  Hamlyn Terrace Oval, Hamlyn Terrace – Wednesday 28^th January 2015 (4.30pm – 6pm)
•  Erina Oval, Erina – Thursday 29^th January 2015 (4.30pm – 6pm)

These program will run for 8 weeks following the commencement of this date.

Phillip Hughes 1988 – 2014

Dear All,

You will have heard that Southern Redbacks batsman, Phillip Hughes sustained a fatal injury at the Sydney Cricket Ground earlier this week.

It is my sad duty to inform you that a matter of hours ago Phillip Hughes passed away.

The word tragedy gets used far too often in sport but this freak accident is now a real-life tragedy. Just shy of his 26th birthday, Phillip has been taken from us far too young.

As a cricketer, Phillip was an incredibly talented and dearly loved member of the Australian, South Australian and Adelaide Strikers squads and a former NSW representative. He also played county cricket in England and IPL in India. Without doubt he was a rising star whose best cricket was still ahead of him.

As a cricket community we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to Phillip’s family, friends and team mates at this incredibly sad time, and of course to the Australian cricket family and the State Associations. We are thinking of you right now.

I’d like to thank you and our club community around the country for the wonderful show of support given to Phillip and his family. From social media to phone calls to our front desk, the support has been tremendous and I want to thank you on behalf of Australian cricket.

We know that Phillip would encourage you to celebrate the game of cricket with your mates over the weekend. We ask you to do that in tribute to Phillip Hughes. Whether that’s getting creative with writing his player number 408 on the outfield, wearing a black arm band or having a moment’s silence after the toss. Celebrate his great achievements and the contribution he made to our game.

Phillip Joel Hughes played 26 Test matches for his country. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered.
