Charity Fashion & Music Show

My Rockin Cigar Box Purses were featured in a Fashion Show in November at the "King King Club" held in Hollywood. The "Charity Fashion & Music Show" for " Beyond The Bell Branch" a charity that specializes in after school for kids (art, music, dance, drama, tutors & enrichment programs) all proceeds from the Fashion show went to this charity. It was an awesome event and was so exciting to see my purses grace the shoulders of some super hip and funky models. The designer Danielle Leigh Davis -"Inslisted for Love" clothes were so fresh & hip and collaborated so well with my purses. Hope to do more in the future. So what's new with Lisa's Chic Boutique? I haven't updated my blog in awhile, something I really need to work on. There are so many aspects to running your own business and trying to juggle it all especially with children. In the world of social media networking the most popular ones being Facebook,Twitter, & Linkedin , it may seem like a lot to digest and keep up with, but the success of your business depends on it. I remember when it used to be just the Yellow pages, what's that? Besides creating new Cigar Box Purses, feather headbands,bottle cap jewelry,"Stinky Pinky" clothes,mirrors and so much more. I now have to keep up with all my networking venues I'm a part of and have found I have generated so much more business, made new friends and now keeping in touch with family in 2 other states all through Facebook & Twitter.

I came across a Realtors blog and loved how he summed up all 3 media networks, "Facebook has become the online cocktail party. Great way to agents and consumers to connect, very light touching, not heavy selling,” said Calzadilla. “LinkedIn has become the online chamber of commerce, professional, a little more rules when you connect. Twitter is like riding the bus and hearing someone talk about real estate and can say, hey, I’m an agent and I can help you sell that home.”
Well I have to go and "Tweet" away and check my Facebook "Wall" and join Linkedin.

Twilight Giveaway & DVD Release

The 2008 Election "Obama Vs. McCain" tshirt wars are on. I've found that there are just as many Political humor apparel for adults as there are for kids,babies and even pets! I came across this website www.cafepress.com that had a huge selection of "Obama" and "McCain" tshirts for kids. Is it a good thing to mix kids and politics? I don't know, but I would have no problem putting one on my strong headed, independent 2 year old daughter. Make sure you register to VOTE!

I recently planned a Princess themed party for my 1 year old daughter Summer Rae. First and most importantly I was to find the perfect Princess out fit. Of course, me being the artsy Diva that I am, it had to have a splash of Princess meets Punk. So I set out surfing the internet for a bright pink TUTU. I finally found my match at this really cute Boutique website named FabbyGabby.com . I also found a cute onsie with the wording Princess on it. Well of course I had to add a touch of my crystal bling to her onsie and pink converse which brought out the Punk side of it. It really turned out soooooo Babe! It was the Princess Party I never had!
