You Always Deliver Birthday Card

As often as packages get delivered to my house, via USPS, UPS, Fedex & Amazon, you'd think I would have made a card like this a long time ago!

I guess I don't feel like my skills as a cardmaker are that good, therefore, I rarely give out the cards I make...I just store them up for some reason and do nothing with them!

I really loved the cute images in this set though, it is from a retired Stampin' Up set called " You Always Deliver"

I searched and found many adorable examples of cards that could be made using this set and it inspired me to try my own.

I created mine to mimic a Postal Service Worker, but of course you could design him to be any delivery type worker you want, that is the fun part and the possibilities are endless!

Celebrate Patriotic Card for 4th of July

I am a tad late posting this card as the glorious 250th Anniversary of this great country was celebrated last week, but I wanted to share anyway as I love this country and am so blessed to be able to live here in freedom that was so fervently fought for by our forefathers!

This card was inspired by a monthly project share challenge from my Stampin' Up Upline Anna...and this month's challenge/share was "Patriotic Pride"!

I was also inspired by this weeks "Freshly Made Sketches" Challenge #744.

I think Fourth of July is one of my most favorite Holidays, so you'd think with all my hoarders craft stash that I would have TONS of patriotic themed stuff to make this card, but sadly, when I went to get started on this card, I realized I was woefully short on supplies for this particular Holiday!

I did what I could with what I had on hand and just convinced myself to "Make it Work!" and I hope I did...

Race Car Birthday Card

Well, it’s about time I made a card with a racing theme!

After all, my family is full of Drag Racers!

My husband, son and brother-in-law have all raced nearly their entire lives...a legacy that was left to them by my dear departed father-in-Law who taught them everything they know!

I even dipped my toes in the “Drag Racing” game at our local Drag Strip (which has since sadly closed down), for the Wednesday Night Drags and actually won on 4 occasions!

I was pretty excited when I saw that Stampin’ Up was releasing a stamp set with a racing theme…(even if it wasn’t drag racing!) Still waiting on that one…that would be beyond awesome!

For now, this one will have to do and I have to say it’s pretty cool!

My husband loves the color red and his race car is red, so of course that is the color I chose for this race car!

His next favorite color is blue and the new car he is building will be blue and white, so I naturally leaned to that color also.

I haven't made many "Baby" themed cards but have been wanting to make one with this soon to be retired Stampin' Up Set - Cutest Onesie!

I've had the stamp set for awhile, but being the craft hoarder that I am...I have WAY more stamp sets than I have time to use them all! LOL!

Paradise Garden Thank-You Card

I am really loving some of the new releases at Stampin' Up and I decided to use this stamp set: Paradise Garden along with some of the SU new "In-Colors" for this pretty floral Thank-You card.

I used the matching hybrid embossing folder and dies for this stamp set as well and inked the edges of the sentiment on the front to make it stand out from the white embossed background.

It is a bit hard to see the embossed piece in the photo above, but it really is a beautiful leaf pattern that accents this set well!

It can be seen a little bit better in the photo below.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink to give it a more subtle look to match the theme of the card.

I also included a small die-cut flower stamped in the new "In-Color" Barely Blush.

I just love this new color...I think it's my favorite so far!

I was inspired this past week to make a card for the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch #731 challenge and my first instinct was to use this awesome background stamp from Stampin' Up - "Leaf Collection" (#163610).

Country Girl Birthday Card

This card is a personal one for me, as it was made for my precious Grandlove "C-Bear"!

It was her Birthday this month and she loves all things Country, so I made her this adorable Cowgirl Card!

The stamp I used is from Unity Stamp Company and it is the "Country Girl" stamp by Angie Bloom.

I have had this stamp for awhile and was looking for just the right time and right card to use it on!

My beautiful Granddaughter even resembles the cute girl on the card! (Could it be that Grandma made sure to color it that way??!!)

Anyway...I think she really liked the card, and that is what is important to me!

I don't typically stamp anything on the back of my cards, except sometimes I use my logo stamp, but I found this adorable little stamp from Unity Stamps and I just loved what it said, so I used it on this card for fun!

As you can probably see...I made a small boo-boo when I stamped it.

I always stress out with stuff like this...since the card is completely done!

If you mess this last step up, well you know...you either start over of be good with it, so I chose to just be okay with it!

My Granddaughter is very forgiving that way and I don't think she even noticed! LOL!

Time to Celebrate - Butterfly Birthday Card

It's time to get busy and make some more Birthday Cards!

This one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge Blog, Sketch #728.

Recently, I was playing around with this "Beautiful Butterflies" stamp set from Stampin' Up.

I had randomly stamped some butterflies for fun and decided to break out the alcohol markers to hone my coloring skills!

When I saw the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I knew it was the perfect fit for the four butterflies!

I just needed to "fussy" cut them, since I did not have the matching dies to go with this stamp set.

After cutting them out I added a little bit of sparkle using the "Wink of Stella" brush/pen from Stampin' Up.

I added a bit of patterned paper to make the front of the card pop (Stampin' Up Inked Botanicals #161157).

Then a quick sentiment using the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and a tag from the Stampin' Up Stylish Shape Dies and a dots trail stamp on the right edge to give the effect of a magic trail following the butterfly on the far right.

I stamped the inside of the card with two additional stamps from the Beautiful Butterflies set: Sentiment: "Time to Celebrate" and a pretty butterfly in the bottom right corner.

Time for another Fun Easter Card!

I'm really enjoying creating with this new stamp set from Stampin' Up - (Easter Basket), the sweet little bunnies and cute little chick are adorable!

I chose to use only the bunny and his yummy carrot on this card and had to do a little "masking" technique to make it look like he was actually holding the carrot.

I decorated the bottom right of the inside of the card with a few of the little easter egg stamps and hand colored them with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Easter Blessings Greeting Card

Easter is one of my favorite Holidays and when I saw Stampin' Up's new Pleasant Patterns Speciality Designer Series Paper, I knew I had to make an Easter Card with it!
