Taking Advice

A great Canadian photographer advised me to start doing portrait photography, so here it is. For this particular image I used nothing but a basic setup of a Canon EOS 60D and a Speedlite 580EX II set to slave mode triggered by on-camera flash.

So here's what happened..

If I only had a videocamera I would be making movies like this one by Stefano Bozetta. I admire this short clip because it strongly conveys particular feelings such as happiness and curiosity. Much like a great TV-ad it inspires you go places and see what is beyond the horizon. Not to mention the retro-colors and soundtrack which blend together into a phenomenal combination. Speaking of trees I once read that "Technology is not equivalent to the essence of technology.
