Winter Moment Engagement Shoot

We visited High Park, location of our outdoor set, weeks before the photo shoot date. All we saw was dead leaves and brown everywhere. We are little bit worried since since our vision for this shoot was that the grounds will be white and snow all over the place. So we prayed for snow and it did came on the day of the shoot. We were so glad that Brandon and Amanda were game photographing this theme outdoor and on winter.

During one of our hikes at High Park trails in Toronto we decided to take the new trail by the edge of the pond. As we pass the trail by the pond, we where just amazed at the scene in front of use. The trail snakes by the frozen pond and tree branches bending by each side of the trail. The ground were brown then. There only few snows laying at the side. Then an idea hit us. What if we place a door on the middle on the trail and couch by the side of the pond. That would be perfect themed for an engagement photo. So that’s how it started. The door on the middle of the road symbolized as a gate in which the couple will start their journey as a soon to be husband and wife. We then hangs white pompoms on the branches to add winter wonderland feel and sprinkled the snow covered trail with rose petals. Then complete the theme with classy bohemian wardrobe.

Winter Inspired Wedding | Amy & Dan

Amy and Dan are an avid skier, and they just loves to ski together. So when planning for their wedding the envision a theme that would best describe them. A winter themed wedding.

They envisioned snow flakes and winterly feel from ceremony to reception. The table names were the places were Amy and Dan had skied together. Though winter came in short this season, they were blessed with snow two days before their wedding day. It’s just came in time, and the fresh snows were just perfect to complete the winterly wonderland feel of their ceremony. The lighted candles on the path to the gazebo, where the ceremony was held complete the magical feel as the day hits twilight. When everything was set and the moment perfect, Amy’s dad walked her through the candle lit path. And what’s better dress for this setting than a cinderella cut wedding gown.

They complete their winter theme with a honeymoon spent skiing at Aspen, Colorado.
