This post is one of my first ventures in to making money online with affiliate programs. Affiliate programs have always been a well known way to make money from home so now I will try them out

Under the ‘money from website’ link in the top navigation I have touched on how you can make money online using affiliate programs. I have decided to go into this topic in more detail.

The money that I am earning through paid surveys and the other money making programs is slowly increasing each month but it’s still not enough to make me rich!

With this money making experiment I want to provide you with valuable information on how you can make money online. You can follow my steps and set-up your own internet business. Then follow each experiment and learn the most profitable ways of making money online.

For all of those that are new to this affiliate marketing is the art of making money online by promoting other people’s products or services.

Affiliate programs are probably the easiest way to start an online business and start making money on the internet. You can start making money immediately via a website, blogs, article directories, social bookmarking and emails.

Another great thing about affiliate programs is that you don’t have to worry about the payment processing, developing a product, holding stock, dealing with orders, shipping products or dealing with any customer enquires. The affiliate program do all of this for you, all you need to do, is to get people to click through your affiliate link.

For this money making experiment I am going to create two affiliate websites one website targeting the ‘make money niche’ and another website targeting the ‘weight loss’ niche.

To get started I have decided to sign up to the following 3 affiliate programs:

There are literally thousands of affiliate programs online. I decided on these three programs after carrying out a few days research into the most reliable affiliate programs that offer great commissions, good support and have a large selection of high converting products to promote in various niches.

Google AdSense:

I have signed up to Google AdSense because it allows you to earn money fast and easy. It will allow me to put targeted adverts on my website and I will earn a commission each time a visitor clicks on them.

I don’t expect Google Adwords to make me a lot of money. However, it is an easy and fast way to generate revenue without having to worry about the click through converting into an actual sale.

MoreNiche:

After reading through various webmaster forums and reading great things about MoreNiche I decided to sign-up and give them a go. After signing-up my first impression of the program is very good. They have a great selection of products in a variety of niches with very high commissions up to $200 per sale. They look they will convert well too, but we will see!
The thing that has impressed me the most is the amount of resources available in their affiliate member’s area. There are more resources available than any other affiliate program I have ever joined including a huge selection of free marketing guides, website templates and articles.

Joe Bucks:

Joe Bucks is an herbal supplement affiliate program. I signed up to this program because they have a large selection of weight loss and other health related products which is perfect for the ‘weight loss’ targeted site. With each sale you make 50% up to $120 which is also a very attractive proposition.

ClickBank:

ClickBank is one of the largest affiliate programs online with over 100,000 affiliates and over 10,000 digital products for you to promote. ClickBank have a massive selection of products from just about every niche you can think of and offer commissions up to 75%. They have probably the largest selection of ‘make money’ programs on the net, so ClickBank will make up the majority of the reviews on my ‘make money’ niche website.

I now need to select the keywords I will be targeting for each Niche and choose which products I’m going to promote.

I’ll write soon about what methods I am going to use to carry out my keyword research, so stay tuned.

See you soon!

It’s called ‘Paid Surveys Etc.’ and has been setup by someone who actually has done paid surveys themselves o it has a bit of inside knowledge into the workings of the system.

They have a crisp clean site and even a few tools that can help you project some estimated incomes and have a pretty good introduction to the industry.

Check the site out yourself and see what you think too, I am going to be posting you an update of my progress on the system as soon as I can

This is some great news about a ticket I raised when I took out a life assurance policy with Direct Line through Greasy Palm. Although the amount tracked ok, the cash was not paid into my Greasy Palm account as I had requested. However, Greasy Palm have now paid be the missing £42.50 and I’ll be getting it next month! Here’s a run down on what happened.

My original transaction was in March 2007. I got a standard automated reply:

Message: Hi Daniel,

I will look into this for you.

I then addded a reply in April 2007 and got this message:

We have now contacted the retailer and asked them to investigate your missing cashback for this transaction.

Please allow up to 60 days for a manual credit to be added to your account, we are reliant on the retailers responding to our requests and some take longer than others to process our queries!

As soon as the retailer confirms that cashback is due we credit the funds to your account.

Thank you for using GreasyPalm.

In June 2007, with no reply, I added my own reply to remind them of this. This is what I got in return:

All I can do is this: I have to put a lot of work in to try and get you your money. This is what I will do, I’m going to give the retailer 90 days to pay it they do not pay up in 90 days I will give you the money. That’s a promise. Please allow 90 days for the transaction to hit your account. I promise you it will be there within 90 days. Please do not reply to this ticket as it will just make you wait extra time as it’s will go by the ticket reply date time.

After the 90 days, still no payment. Therefore I added another reply to the ticket. And I got this wonderful response in Feb 2008:

I am pleased to tell you that I have now added £42.50 cashback to your account for Direct Line Life Insurance.

So a little persistance, and Greasy Palm where true to their word. Thanks guys!

It appears that Paypal doesn’t like the Pay-Per-Click sites too much (probably because most of them are scams). According to their payment schedule, I should be paid around 12th Feb, but they are fantastically slow at payment.

The only way to get paid now seems to be either reveal your credit card details (which I just won’t do) or to use AlertPay. It appears that AlertPay are trying to create competition for Paypal. I’m interested to see how that turns out really, as Paypal have ripped me off a number of times.

It’s interesting reading the forums at Bux.to, as anyone who says they actually a scam has their threads deleted and might face a ban from the forum. Surely any reputable company would tackle the messages, rather than just delete them. Until I get paid, I’m not assuming anything.

Bux.to seems to be one of the few PTC sites that aren’t scams, but I based my opinion on evidence not assumptions. Once I get paid, I’ll feel a lot better!

I’ve been experiencing lots of problems with EnglandBux lately. Virtually no emails to click on, then lots of downtime, then the web server appeared to be compromised with it redirecting to Amazon using an affiliate link. I checked my balance and it looks like they’ve lost a large number of my clicks too. So my suggestion, avoid EnglandBux now. It looks like they’re full of hype and are a disappointment.

Good News with Bux.to

I’ve been getting into the habit of clicking on adverts via Bux.to daily recently. I do this clicking whilst doing other work on the computer first thing in the morning. This habit has just paid off, and I’ve now got the minimum $10 in my account to get a payment (as shown above). I’ve requested a payment, so am interested to see how long it takes to get paid now. Bux.to seem to be the only PTC system that is known not to be a scam, so I am hopeful.

With the Paid-To-Click systems, I refuse to pay for the ‘premium’ service which usually results you losing money, rather than gaining money. However, with my current progress, I am nearly half way with all of the PTC services I currently use! Sadly, bux.to seem to be cutting down on their free adverts, with only 4 per day, rather than 6.

Here are the current earnings:

Bux.to: $4.80 (16 referrals)
EnglandBux: £4.33 (42 referrals)
MoneyBux: $4.49 (21 referrals)
Wordlinx: $1.53 (21 referrals)

Compared to my last update, this is the increase in about 3 weeks:

Bux.to: +$0.85 (22% increase)
EnglandBux: +£1.1767 (37% increase)
MoneyBux: +$2.365 (112% increase)
Wordlinx: +$0.40 (35% increase)

However, the slow earnings lead me to conclude that this is a really slow way to earn money and that other options should be considered to do really well.

If you have an allocated parking space for your home that you don’t use, or perhaps you have a spare garage near to your home, then you can make a nice regular income by renting your space. London parking is a nightmare and very expensive for commuters, particularly with the congestion charge and parking fees. If you have a spare allocated parking space, then you can rent it for several hundred pounds a month if the parking spot is in London! That’s quite a bit of extra income.

However, although prices in London are higher than most other places, you can still earn a fair bit by being close to cities, train stations, schools, universities, hospitals, docks and airports. For the person renting a space, it offers them the convenience of a dedicated space just for them along with savings in parking fees too. For you, clearly its valuable extra cash in your pocket. Some homes have two dedicated parking spaces, so if you only have one car in your household, you might want to rent a parking space to someone.

Parklet.co.uk is an increasingly popular website that helps match parking space “landlords” with parking space “tenants”, making it easier for everyone to get what they want. Do have a play with their system, as you can find available parking spaces using Google Maps!

Compared to my last update, this is the increase in about 2 weeks:

Bux.to: +$1.26 (47% increase)
EnglandBux: +£1.0689 (52% increase)
MoneyBux: +$1.225 (136% increase)
Wordlinx: +$0.26 (30% increase)

So EnglandBux is still earning the most, and again with MoneyBux showing the biggest increase by far recently.
