Dropshipping is the process of selling products without having to stock or store any items. It is a simple and effective way to earn money from home. You sell the merchandise at a cost you determine, then after the customer pays you, you would pay the supplier and send them your customers details. They send the product to the customer, and the difference between your price and the suppliers price is your profit.

So How Does Dropshipping Actually Work

Here’s an example; Let’s say you came across a pair of earings on a dropshipping site for £20. You sell the earrings for £35 plus £4.50 p&p. After you collect the payment of £39.50 from the customer and their postal address, you would forward the £20 plus £4.50 postage costs to the supplier, and keep the £15.00 as profit.

The benefit of this kind of business agreement? The supplier doesn’t have to open a storefront, or hire salespeople to sell their products, and you have a way to earn some spare money, having no start-up costs, no overhead, no packaging costs and can create an extremely useful relationship with the supplier and a reliable way to earn money from home.

Dropshipping Websites

The ideal places to start drop shipping would be websites such as Ebay, Devil Wear or Amazon Marketplace. Using PayPal would be a safe way to transfer money and to help your buyers pay you safely and for you to buy further items.

Look for a UK dropshipper that delivers what it promises (85% of orders despatched that day, 97% the next day is a good standard). The idea is very simple yet effective one. As you can see from the example above the margins are realistic rather than the thousands of pounds promised by other earn money from home schemes.

This is no get rich quick but a genuine, honest business that can pay high returns with a little work and a little expense.

It’s all very well signing up to a load of paid surveys websites and waiting for the money to start rolling in, but what online money making veterans tend to forget are the day to day tasks that we all take for granted.

I was giving some advice the other day to a friend that wanted to start taking paid surveys for a bit of extra cash, I gave him some basic tips and this website address to do some research. He came back a few days later delighted that he’d completed his first survey and had his account credited with his first online earnings.

A few weeks later however he came back asking “how do you manage to keep on top of all your emails?” and “don’t you get bored of filling out my contact details?” And I realised that I hadn’t given him the most basic advice, because I do it on a daily basis, it completely slipped my mind.

So here goes;

1) Set up a separate email account to sign up to paid survey sites. YOU WILL GET SPAMMED. And it’s also a lot easier to keep your personal and work accounts organised if they are separate.

2) Check your email accounts on a daily basis, most surveys only stay live until the required number of participants have completed them, so get in there early.

3) A lot of software packages have the ability to store personal information to make filling in forms quicker and less tedious. We recommend RoboForm or the the Autofill feature in the Google Toolbar.

4) Bookmark your paid survey sites and keep your bookmarks organised. Most browsers have the capability to drag and drop sites onto a bookmark bar along the top. Bookmark links to your profiles on the various paid survey sites this way you will have easy access to all of the sites you use regularly.

5) Don’t be lazy – set up your profile page. Completing your profile page on a paid survey site has a lot more benifits that say setting up a facebook profile page. It allows the paid survey company to match you with relevant surveys more easily and increases your chance of getting the higher paid surveys in the future.

6) Be honest when you are answering the surveys. Your opinions are important to the company conducting the survey, after all, they are paying you for them. They are entitled to get an honest opinion in return for the rewards they give you.

Well that’s it. All the little things that make my life taking paid surveys easier and less time consuming. Hope it helps some newbies on their way to start getting paid for taking surveys.

Ebay has announced it’s latest scheduled ammendments in the first of this years bi-annual changes. I’ve compiled a short list of the main changes along with the implications for the buyers/sellers.

BUYING IMPROVEMENTS – New item page, basic photo zooming, catalog-pages, multi-sku/variations (there are like 10 names for this one), buyer incentives.

Buyers – These are all good improvements for buyers. I’m not sure about the catalog pages yet as I don’t know how well consumers like them – they are definitely more of an attempt to “amazonifi” eBay.

Sellers – ‘Catalog’ is going to require a good bit of work for sellers not already using that system. However multi-sku is going to be a huge, Huge, HUGE change for sellers. I’ll do a separate post on this.

TRUST – Two big changes here, first is eBay are going to make it much easier for buyers to ask for and receive returns. There will be a common area where you can say “I want to return xxxx”. This is going to be a big change for sellers – many of whom will fight tooth and nail to not take any returns. This will also effect the many ‘as-is’ sellers on eBay.

Second, there’s the “eBay Resolutions”. This looks set to be a big one as it looks like eBay is moving to guarantee EVERY transaction.

Buyers – The proof is in the pudding, if this makes the return and/or disputes easier then it will definitely work out better for the buyers. If it rolls out with tons of caveats and limits and 10 step processes, it will be negative though.

Sellers – The ‘resolution’ part is going to put eBay in the middle of more disputes. eBay+paypal are known for quickly siding with buyers and then deducting the amount from your PP account. Sellers are going to hate that aspect of this -especially smaller sellers. Smaller sellers are going to really dislike the return policy and when you make returns easier and in buyer’s faces, returns spike up.

Hi, my name’s Charlie.

Dan has kindly asked me to do a guest post this week whilst he is on holiday. With the current economic climate, I decided to talk about one area that is still booming – the internet.

One of the internets greatest assets is the ability to transfer information with ever increasing ease resulting in a “shrinking of the globe”. Here is where paid survey companies step in. Consumer opinion is an extremely valuable commodity in today’s highly competitive markets and large corporations are investing substantial amounts of capital to gain this information. Many are cashing in on this opportunity from retired people, web site owners, work from home moms, students and of course – the paid survey companies themselves.

The income opportunities are almost endless as paid survey companies are paying participants for online product trials (up to $50 per product), surveys (up to $75 per survey), phone surveys (up to $95 per hour) and even focus groups (up to $175 per hour).

Mike Law, CEO of www.wealthontap.com states

“Paid surveys are by far the most popular choice for our visitors. Over 60% of them work from home and are looking for another income source. You have the choice to work the hours you wish, which is a huge factor, as well as the potential to make a substantial amount of money.”

As the internet continues to develop, who knows what further opportunities will arise as we progress further into the information age. One thing that is evident is that people are looking for new ways to supplement their income and improve their lifestyles and with today’s technology, it is becoming more of a reality for people.

It’s all well and good starting a home based business such as affiliate marketing, getting your website up and running, driving traffic to it, repeating ‘x’ number of times until you have a well developed network of sites etc. But in reality there’s a lot more to running a home based business than the simple step by step process outlined on many “make money” sites.

Create an ‘Office’ space

Just because you’re working from home, doesn’t mean that you should sit on the sofa with your laptop with one eye on your affiliate site and one eye on Jerry Springer. Keeping focus in any job can be difficult, and this is made 10 times worse when you’re working from home. It’s easy to get sidetracked by the washing or the kids or the last episode of a program you really like that you TiVoed and forgot to watch – Affiliate marketing is still a business – YOUR business so if you’re slacking off then it’s only yourself that you’re going to be disappointing.

Keep Your ‘Office’ Tidy

This is an oldie but a goody – “A tidy house equals a tidy mind” There’s nothing worse than having clutter all over your desk and not being able to find anything. Keep your working area clean and organised.

Prioritise

Without someone actively pushing you (your boss) to do the tasks that you hate (link building) it’s easy for some tasks to get pushed to the bottom of the list everyday. Structure your day and assign yourself tasks to complete in order of importance – and deadlines that they should be completed by.

EMAILS!

This is where I find the majority of my ‘unknown’ time goes. I’ll get an email about something that interests me, then for the next hour I’m off on a tangent researching something that has no bearing on the task at hand and, more often than not, something that is of no real benefit to me.

Allow some time at the end of the day to go through your emails and sort the wheat from the chaff. DO NOT DO THIS AT THE START OF YOUR DAY – you’ll never get anything done!

Set up different email accounts:

Personal: this one should be for family and friends and should not be checked during ‘working’ hours,

Business: for your real business correspondance ie: real.name@yourcompany.com

Marketing: for signing up to directories, blogs, etc pseudonym@yourcompany.com this one will get a lot of spam so it makes sense to keep it separate from the others.

Organise your emails before you read them: I find it much easier if I spend 5 minutes just scanning my emails deleting the spam and filing the ones I need to do something with before reading them. It’s easy to get the general gist of an email ie: if it’s from a marketer, spammer, client, prospect, activation email etc. and even a filing system as simplistic as Important : Needs Actioning : Read Later can help stem the barrage of information delivered daily to your inbox.

Accounts and Passwords

When you first start out it’s easy to remember a few log on details and url’s of sites you are using, but as time goes on as an internet marketer you need to join many online sites and forums – whether it be for research purposes or for free reports or resources. You will also need to create numerous accounts for the business such as web tracking, ad sense, affiliates, web traffic, hosting, domains and so on and so on.

Keeping track of all of these log on details quickly becomes a nightmare. Although you can always sign up to these sites again using another username/email address, it’s wasted time that could be avoided by simply keeping an excel spreadsheet of your log on details from day one. This is also an invaluable habit to get into when working with pseudonyms – just make sure you keep the document secure.

Anyway, I hope this post goes some way towards helping you organise your time and prioritise your work load a little better, and therefore help you earn more money from home without tearing your hair out!

With all of the make money scams on the internet, it is becoming harder and harder to find legitimate ways to make money from home. Affiliate Marketing is still one of the most lucrative opportunities on the web, but can you really make money as an Affiliate?

There are many possible ways to make money online; some are complex, others are simple. One of the biggest problems with searching for ways to make money on the internet, is that among the legitimate schemes there are hidden numerous scams and swindles. If you are unaware, you can easily sign up for ways to make money that simply do not work, or do not make the money for you – only for the person selling you their secrets. If you really want to make money, advice is not necessary, providing you look out for systems and make money programs that charge you to an arm and a leg to join – with NO guarantees. If you avoid these, you will not lose money, even if you fail to gain the fortune you desire.

Among the more popular ways to make money, many tend to favour Affiliate Programs. Although these tend to take more time and effort on your part, you know that the effort you put in for a few hours a day will eventually pay back a decent sum. Some surveys and make money schemes are less time consuming, but pay much smaller quantities of cash.

To make money with Affiliate Marketing you will need to invest several hours a week of your time. However, once you have the hang of things, the actual work you need to put in to sustain your income is less, and the effort becomes very small in comparison to the amount of money you can actually make. Yes, you can make money; affiliate programs DO pay you for the effort given.

So what work goes into being a successful affiliate? One of the ways to make money is to lead customers to one of more websites – If they make a purchase, you will gain a commission. The other method is simply to get people to actually visit and spend time at a website. Although this does not pay as much as sales commission, you can still make money. Advice is often available to those wishing to get involved with affiliate systems, direct from the business or website providing you with the payments for heading customers its way.

There are many ways to encourage people to make a purchase, and you do not need to rely on sending spam emails. Ways to make money as an affiliate include hunting down specific forums that cater to the product you are promoting – such as a food and cookery forum for sales of kitchenware – and simply having a chat on the message board. Leave a link to the affiliate sales site in your under-message quote box. Every time you say something, you are offering customers a link to the affiliate site. You don’t have to sell at people to buy – just let them follow your link after reading your posts. Providing you make sense and do not just talk about the product for sale, you are likely to stay on the board and customers can keep on rolling in, earning you commission.

Yes, you can get paid for taking surveys and earn money from home, but although you can, it does not follow that you always will.

In order for you to make money, paid surveys need to pay in a currency you can use. Although many survey companies will allow overseas residents to participate, they may only pay in one certain currency. If you don’t check to ensure that you get paid in your home currency, you may have to forfeit the earnings or pay a hefty bank fee in order to exchange an overseas check.

Although the best paid surveys allow payouts to be issued in local currency, not all sites are scam free. You may find that in the small print there is a clause stating that money can only be issued into a US bank account or as an Australian check. Whilst not precisely a scam, you may be unable to receive your payment.

A second possible swindle is when an advert says that you can get paid for taking surveys, and claim to make you rich. Once you have signed up, you discover that there are not enough surveys there to bother with.

Perhaps the survey provider only has four or five survey websites on its list, in which case you are likely to get paid to take surveys only once or twice a week at the most. If you are expecting to earn massive amounts of money by spending one or two hours per day answering questionnaires and giving your opinion, only to find you are only given one or two a week, this can be frustrating. In order to make money, paid surveys have to be available to take.

A similar scam occurs when a survey provider site promises plenty of surveys but ends up giving you everything but surveys. The best paid surveys take five to twenty minutes apiece and bring in a minimum of a pound each, often providing more than twenty pounds for one survey. This only mounts up to anything of value when you get paid for taking surveys at a rate of several per day. If the company only sends a couple each week and sends you a multitude of other offers instead, then you will not make money. Paid surveys are what you want, not buy one get one free coupons or earn $10 if you spend $50 offers.

To make sure you get plenty of the best paid surveys, you should make sure that the host site has multiple survey providers that it is connected to and that it will always have surveys for you to take available. If it deals with too few providers, you will not get paid to take surveys, but will waste your time waiting for them instead. One good idea is to sign up with a provider that asks you to sign in to their site to access various surveys available to you, rather than sending a daily email with links. Although the latter may seem to be more convenient, if it is a scam you will get lots of junk mail and no cash surveys. Reputable survey providers will have multiple survey companies on hand and will let you know this in their advertisement.

UK residents are not allowed to participate in all survey websites, but several paid survey UK companies will tailor their services to provide you with relevant surveys that you can earn from without the need to be a US resident or have a US bank account.

In order to earn money from home, paid surveys are one of the most convenient and enjoyable methods available. You simply sit at your computer for an hour or so each day that you have the time free, and answer questions, give your opinion, or make short statements about products. Surveys are money earners that allow you to earn income outside of your regular job. You can spend an hour online before or after work and top up your bank balance with ease by doing a paid online survey. UK residents will probably have felt the financial crisis that is sweeping the world. Paid survey UK can supply you with all the surveys you need to keep afloat while the world about you sinks.

In order to earn extra cash, UK residents simply need to locate a reputable supplier of surveys. Once you have signed up, you can sit back and earn money from home. A legitimate survey provider service will provide you with the links to enough surveys in order to build up your earnings quite fast. Some do so by sending you a daily emails with the links to relevant surveys included, whilst others expect you to log in to their website and will list all the available surveys from which you can earn extra cash. UK residents may not be catered for at all survey providers, whereas others may tailor their surveys especially for UK residents.

Once you have joined a paid online survey UK source site, you can start to earn money from home. Just for filling out a fifteen-minute survey, you can earn over twenty pounds. If you spend an hour answering questions, you can therefore earn as much as a day at work. Money earners seeking to increase their income and cut back on their long and tedious hours can do so by signing onto a paid online survey UK website for an hour each day instead of staying at work to d overtime. Two hours of overtime usually pays less that one hour of survey filling.

Of course, if you want to make your entire income from online surveys, you will need to spend more than one hour a day to earn money from home. You will probably also want to take advantage of affiliate programs, where new members recommended by you that sign up to a paid survey UK site will earn you a bonus. Just telling your family and friends about the money you can make should be enticement enough, but to earn extra cash, UK residents can mention their affiliate link in forums and groups that contain people interested in quizzes, opinions, or surveys. What an easy way to earn extra income – just write a few sentences at a forum and wait!

This is because thousands of folks use it and trust it. Google is well known and isn’t going away anytime soon. Also, making money with Adsense is one of the easiest routes to start earning money online.

Here’s a quick overview of Adsense to get you started:

Register with Google & create an Adsense account – Be sure to follow all the rules so that you don’t get banned from the program.

You’ll need as least one website when you create your account – if you don’t have one (or can’t afford one initially) then sign up with for a free blog publishing tool such as blogger or wordpress and create a free blog.

Plug the HTML code you’re given for your Adsense account into your website or blog.

Market your site and drive traffic to it – Visitors are key to making money with anything online.

When visitors click on the Adsense Ads on your site you earn money.

Of course if you are wanting to make this your sole source of income, then a lot more hard work and effort will need to go into the marketing your website. Also writing content to help convert the traffic on your site into revenue, but in a nutshell – making money with Adsense really is that simple.
