Orkes Akiuku had their first Ukulele Street Jamm for the year 2012!! It was a super fun session with them. Jamming and performing for the people at Tanjung Aru 1st Beach (15h Jan). We all had an AWESOME time!! See you guys in the next gathering!! Here are some pictures.

First Ukulele Shop in Kota Kinabalu JUSTUKE!

JustUke is the first ukulele shop in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It's located at 88 Marketplace. Many people had visited the place and most of the ukulele has been sold. But worry not, new stock of ukulele are coming before christmas. Orkes Akiuku are always hanging out there especially on the weekends, sometimes they'll do some recording session, some just hang out and have some fun. Sabah Bike Fest was held at Tg. Aru Beach 1 on the 17th Sept 2011. And Orkes Akiuku was invited to perform a street jamm there to entertain the crowds. Had an aweesome time as usual..!! Super fun! Until we ran out of songs to sing. LOL.

OA at Shelter Home

16th Sept Orkes Akiuku went to a Shelter Home near Kobusak area. Arrived there at 11am, and ended at 2pm. It was FUN entertaining the kids and the shelter residents. Love to do it again! And we had a short and informational talk about HIV/AIDS by Mr. Joseph. Thanks to aunty Agnes Khaw for giving us the chance to perform there ^_^

Orkes Akiuku Visit to Shelter Home at Kobusak

Orkes Akiuku will be having a visit to A Shelter Home at Kobusak on the 16th Sept 2011(Malaysia Day) just to cheer them up and entertain them with our music and love for the ukulele. The Shelter home is runned by our very own OA member Aunty Agnes Khaw. She's been very-very supportive of OA, eventhough she's the oldest of us all. She's like our Mummy. FYI she's actually the mother of DJ Cassie HitzKK. It's been awesome having more and more members and activities with OA. More upcoming events will be updated ^_^ On the left is the map going to the Shelter Home.

Street Jamming at Jesselton Point

Sunday (11sept) Busking/ Street Jamming session with Orkes Akiuku and KKMP crew. Gathered there around 4pm and ended at around 6pm. Had to finish early because of the heavy rain. Thought that not many of us will show up since some of OA members is busy. But with great luck, a lot of people turned up that day! Woohoo!! And it was SUPER AWESOME! Although it rained, but we all still had so much fun singing songs and playing our music to the public. This is something all of us will never ever forget!

Orkes Akiuku is in Harian Ekspress (Daily Express) today(13th sept 2011). Had that street jamming activity on Sunday(11th Sept) at Jesselton Point, KK. with the KKMP crew and other local artist. Had so much fun that day. And had a short & simple interview with the reporter that day too :)

Sometimes it sucks being strong. Because when people know that u are strong, they think that it is okay to hurt you, over and over again. The minute you decided that I wasn’t worth the truth was the minute you decided to break my heart. It hurts so much, knowing that you can see me trying so hard to grab your attention, and you won't even do anything about it. A lie is still a lie, regardless of the reason behind it. You can say you did it for a good cause but the point is, you still did it. You can't keep playing with someone's feeling just because you're unsure of yours. I know change can be scary, but it's part of growing up. It's how we find out who we are and who we're gonna be. You said you miss me. You said you love me. You said you want me. It has been 10years since i've changed my posters on the wall. With posters of old pop stars like Jessica Simpsons, Hillary Duff, Stacie Orrico, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Ayumi Hamasaki and more. I've thrown all that out and replaced it with new posters. OBEY Giant Posters, My ULTIMATE FAVOURITE brand! And here's how it looks like. Ngee..

And that's only one side of my room. The other side? Not completed yet. Will update it when the posters are printed already. Huahuahua! i LOVE my room ^_^
