Hmmm… So about 2 weeks ago to the day, I may have mentioned something about showing you my SAFF loot. Well, I’m not going to do that today either. Mostly because I have yet to photograph any of the loot and also it might already be put away and I don’t feel like hauling it all back out. Let’s just say that I am well stocked to get me through the winter. At the very least.

I am yet again engaged in my never ending war with my arch nemesis, Laundry. I am currently winning the battle. Sort of. Mostly. Sorry, no pictures of my laundry. I’m sure you’re crushed.

My new current obsession: coupon cutting. And using. I feel like I’m channeling my grandmother when I cut coupons. We ate many a breakfast or lunch at Hardy’s when I was a kid visiting my grandparents because my grandmother had coupons. She carried them in a fanny pack that she wore. I’m not quite there yet. But mostly because I can’t find a fanny pack I like.

And knitting one, lonely cupcake for the September birthday in BAD Boy’s class. Don’t worry, I’ll show you a picture when it’s done. Which it isn’t, but it will be. I’m sure you’re on the edge of your seat with bated breath in anticipation of the unveiling of another cupcake.

I Don’t Want to Talk About It

I do not want to talk about how when I went to work on NOVEMBER SECOND there were CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS all over the place. It looked like Christmas had thrown up in there. Or so I thought. But no, it was more like Christmas had hit puberty and it was just the beginning of a growth spurt. Because now? NOW THERE IS EVEN MORE CHRISTMAS AND IT’S ONLY THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER.

And yes, that last sentence did need to be in all caps. I HATE CHRISTMAS. I hate how the second greatest holiday of the year is completely IGNORED. I hated it even more that when we were in Target in OCTOBER shopping for the greatest holiday of all time, HALLOWEEN, there were CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS FOR SALE BEHIND THE HALLOWEEN STUFF.

Look, it’s bad enough that Thanksgiving is, for all intents and purposes, a completely ignored holiday. But to start putting out Christmas crap when people are trying to get ready for Halloween? That is like going to a strip club only to find that your grandma is on stage. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT.

So you know what, Christmas? This is me waving BOTH my middle fingers at you RIGHT NOW until December 26th. I am sick and tired of your pushy ways and I have had enough.

You leave me no other options but to declare a personal war against you, Christmas.

I have a confession. When I was a kid, you were awesome. I mean, the sun was just going down at 8:00 pm in the summers and the day just stretched out forever. It was great! Though, that was only when I was visiting the States in the summers. And even then, it wasn’t every year. So really, you were a special treat and you seemed really cool.

HOWEVER.

Now that I’m an adult and don’t get summer breaks anymore and live in the States year round, you fucking suck. And I hate you.

SAFF Cabin of Awesomeness

SAFF is a special, magical time in a knitter/spinner/fiber enthusiast’s life. This year, we decided to celebrate SAFF by staying in a cabin. There was more fun than can be described and probably should have been illegal. I am never going to do this post justice with words.

Also? Sleep is optional at the SAFF Cabin of Awesomeness as none of got very much sleep. AT ALL. And there were lots of purchases. LOTS. But those are for another post. Right now, I need to spend some quality time with my wheel, Jezebel, who missed me while I was away.
