The Grand Budapest hotel review

It's being a while but I am back :-)

I recently went to see Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel and I have to admit at first I was a bit hesitant to watch this film as the only other film I had seen by him was Moonrise kingdom. Moonrise kingdom left me feeling very odd and questioning what I had just seen however I did enjoy it. The Grand Budapest hotel does a similar thing but on a more enjoyable level. The most clever thing about this film is how it is narrated and that it is a story within a story, within a story. You may think this sounds pretty complicated but it isn't, its similar to how life of Pi is narrated but with an extra level. After the hesitation I got excited by the marvellous reviews it was receiving and the push from my friends to go and see it. I wasn't disappointed and the reviews are right. It's a very entertaining film with a great witty storyline and a suburb cast, which is lead by the very talented Ralph Fiennes. The one liners, silent movie gags and characters really bring the film to life and make it an enjoyable experience.

I would recommend this film to anyone.

The Hunger Games Catching Fire

I have being waiting for ages to see the second film in the Hunger Games series and today I finally got to watch it. It's another mind blowing performance from Jennifer Lawrence and yet again she deserves an Oscar for her outstanding talent. Her facial expressions and realistic reactions are the skills any actor should wish to have (remember the majority of set and things that happen are filmed on a green screen and are special effects). The film doesn't exactly follow the book but it still lived up to my expectations and the director brought the pages to life, I also felt that how the set was described in the book was actually spot on in the film. If you have read the books you might find some parts long however I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Hunger Games Catching Fire is out in cinema's now.

My Fashion picks from the LA premiere of Catching Fire.

1) The leading lady herself Jennifer Lawrence in this sheer gown. I don't know wether I love or hate this dress but its different and totally unique. Anyone else think she's rocking the Miley style?

2) Disney Angel Bella Thorne in this nude flower power dress. I absolutely love this dress on Bella it's so youthful yet sophisticated and goes beautiful with her red locks.

3) I can't leave out my fellow Brit Sam Claflin in his dapper suite.

Okay so I didn't manage to watch the Emmys which is pretty sad for a budding actress however for you guys I did check out the red carpet fashion and omgosh all I can say is MERMAID. So many mermaid dresses! Don't get me wrong I do like the mermaid dress style however when nearly every actress that walked down the red carpet was wearing one it was way too much. One Direction This Is Us Review

Okay so most of you Directioners have probably already seen This Is Us Right? Well I wanted to share with you all what I thought of the movie. I am a huge One Direction fan and you will probably come to learn that from my future blog posts so I was super excited to see the film. I couldn't wait to see the boys just being them crazy selves and watch footage of there tour for 2 jam packed hours. I love the mix of the footage from there arena tour and the footage of there life backstage however I thought it was a bit miss mashy and all over the place. I don't mean to compare it to Justin Biebers Never Say Never film but I found that more easier to watch as it was continuous and a count down. Don't get me wrong I loved the film and had an awesome time singing along to all there songs and of course laughing my head of at them 5 silly boys but it wasn't what I expected.

I will still buy the DVD because I am obsessed but honestly I didn't feel like I saw anything new as a lot of it is on there keek's and YouTube and the only thing I learnt from that film was that Louis worked in Toys R Us.

Apparently I am not the only one who only learnt that :-/ found people saying the exact same thing on Tumblr and Instagram.
