Since last summer, we wanted to make a Watermelon Party. Watermelon is refreshing and with bright looking colors, perfect for a Summer Party. The combination of red and greens make it great for an unisex party, a very important deal in our house, since we have a boy and a girl. That’s why we are planning to make a Watermelon Party this summer and is today’s idea in our “Mondays of Ideas”. This Pinterest inspiration board is from last summer with some modifications, we hope you all enjoy it and get inspired! (Desde el verano pasado hemos querido hacer una fiesta de Sandía. La sandía o melón de agua es refrescante y con colores bien vivos, perfecta para realizar una fiesta de Verano. Además la combinación de rojo y verdes es perfecta para fiestas para niños de ambos sexos, un detalle muy importante en nuestra casa, ya que tenemos una niña y un niño. Es por esos que estamos planificando una fiesta de Sandía este verano y es la idea de hoy. Esta tabla de inspiración en Pinterest es del año pasado, pero con unas modificaciones actuales, esperamos que la disfruten y que los inspire. Además estamos compartiendo con ustedes un vistazo de lo que será nuestra colección Watermelon Summer Party.

Hi, everyone. I have been sick, feeling terrible with the flu. What a great way to celebrate Mother's day! Right?! Not really! ha!
Now I am feeling a lot better and I am back on track. This time I am sharing with you a Dessert Buffet that we styled recently as Fara Party Design. The mommy-to-be ask us for something related to Italy, since she is moving there with her husband and kids after she give birth. She is having a girl, so soccer it was not an option. She wanted something Italian, but also delicate and feminine. First it was a challenge, but nothing we couldn’t manage. We thought about it and look for different possibilities and… Aha! We got it! Tuscany, Italy was the solution! We incorporate the beautiful Sunflowers and got inspired on all the warm nature scenes of this big region of Italy. The color palette includes gold, blush, coral, cream and mustard. The result exceeded our expectations and the mom-to-be was delighted with all the details. Our mission was accomplished and we felt honored to see the happy face of the mommy-to-be when she saw our work for the first time. Thank you so much Carla for the opportunity and we wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life. Arriverderci!

(Hola a todos. He estado enferma, sintiéndome horrible con gripe. ¿Qué gran forma de pasar el día de las Madres? ¿Verdad? ¡En realidad, no!
Ahora me estoy sintiendo bastante mejor y estoy enfocada nuevamente. Esta vez me dirijo a ustedes para compartir las fotos de un Buffet de postres que decoramos recientemente en Fara Party Design. La futura mamá quería algo relacionado a Italia, ya que se muda para allá con su esposo e hijos, luego que dé a luz. Va a tener una niña así que el futbol no era una opción. Ella quería algo italiano, pero que a la vez fuera delicado y femenino. Primero parecía un reto, pero nada que nosotros no pudiéramos manejar. Pensamos en ello y en diferentes posibilidades y… ¡Ajá! ¡Lo teníamos! Toscana, Italia, era la solución. Incorporamos el girasol y nos inspiramos en todas las escenas naturales y cálidas de esta gran región italiana. La paleta de colores incluía colores como el dorado, el coral, el rosado pálido, crema y el amarillo mostaza. El resultado excedió nuestras expectativas y la futura madre estaba encantadísima con todos los detalles. Nuestra misión fue completada y ver la cara de alegría de la futura madre al ver nuestro trabajo por primera nos hizo sentir honrados. Carla, muchas gracias por la oportunidad y te deseamos todo lo mejor en esta nueva etapa de tu vida. Arriverderci! )

Craft Day- Artist Brush Holder for your Rapunzel Art Party

Hello Everyone!
This is Laiana, coming to you with a craft idea for all of the art lovers out there. This is perfect as gift or decoration in your Rapunzel Art Party! To see more about this party go here and to get Little things Creations Party Printable Collection go here.

Follow the steps in the picture below and the steps to make your very own artist brush holder:

1. Fold construction papers in quarts and cut strips.
2. Fold strips in half.
3. Glue the halves together.
4. Make the glued, folded in half, strips into little cylinder shapes.
5. Glue the two edges of the cylinders together to keep the shape. Hold on to the paper for about 3 minutes till the glue dries enough to hold itself in place.
6. This is how you are going to arrange them in the pot. The purpose of these cylinders are to hold the brushed more organized instead of having them all clash around with one another. Glue the cylinders inside the Pringles container as seen.
7. Decorate the outside of the Pringles container with paint sample strips!
8. This is how the container should look:)
9. If you have a little space in the back of the container that did not get covered by the paint sample strips you can cut a paint sample strip in half and glue it the long way on the space that needs covering.
10. Hold the half strip down with rubber bands so that it will glue around the container correctly.

Es Laiana. Quiero compartir con ustedes una idea de manualidad para todos los amantes del arte. Además es perfecto para entregarlo como regalito o para decorar tu fiesta de Arte al estilo Rapunzel. Siga los pasos que contiene la fotografía arriba y los abajo para hacer su propio contenedor para pinceles de artista:

1. Doble el papel de construcción en cuartos y corte las tiras.
2. Doble las tiras por la mitad.
3. Pegue las dos mitades juntas.
4. Haga pequeñas formas como cilindro de las tiras dobladas por la mitad y pegadas.
5. Pegue los cilindros. Aguante las esquinas por aproximadamente 3 minutos o hasta que el papel se sostenga en la forma solo.
6. Así es como va a arreglar los cilindros en el pote. De esta manera los pinceles se sostienen dentro de el pote y no chocan unos con los otros. Pegue los cilíndros dentro del el pote de "Pringles" como lo indica la fotografía.
7. Decore la parte de afuera de el pote de "Pringles" con tiras de muestras de pintura.
8. Así es como se debe de ver el pote.
9. Si tienes un poco de espacio en la parte de atrás de el pote que no fue cubierta por las tiras de muestras de pintura, corte otra tira por la mitad, péguela a lo largo en el área que no fue cubierta.
10. Aguante la tira con una liguilla para que se pegue correctamente al pote.

Monday of Ideas-Tennis begins with LOVE...Party

We are back, after a long and super busy week! We had an amazing experience helping in the organization of Copa Sultana ITF Tennis Tournament celebrated here in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. This is the third International Tennis Tournament organized by my parents. In the first two we only help a little bit, with the logo and the blog. But this time, since this tournament was a bigger event, they ask for more help. We didn't know what to expect and were not prepared for it, but could manage all the challenges, everything went great and everyone was happy with our work. Although it was a very busy week, we will worked in the next one, which will be this coming September and hopefully we will be better prepared.
For the next tournament I also want to integrate our work of Little things Creations and Fara Party Design to the event and make a small “Tennis begins with Love” dessert table. I made this inspiration board on Pinterest, which is today’s idea for Monday of Ideas. While I was making it I thought that this theme can also be perfect for an Engagement or Wedding Rehearsal Party for Tennis’s Lovers. Don't you think? I love the theme and the colors!

(¡Estamos de vuelta, luego de una semana larga y súper ajetreada! Tuvimos una experiencia muy enriquecedora ayudando en la organización del Torneo ITF de Tenis Copa Sultana, celebrado aquí en Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Este es el tercer torneo internacional de tenis que organizan mis padres. En los primeros dos sólo ayudamos un poco, haciendo el logo y el blog, pero esta vez nos pidieron más ayuda, ya que era un evento más grande. No sabíamos que esperar y no estábamos preparados para él, pero pudimos manejar el reto. Todo resultó grandioso y todos estaban complacidos con nuestro trabajo. Aunque fue una semana de mucho trabajo, esperamos trabajar en el próximo, el cual será este próximo septiembre, y esperamos estar mejor preparados.

Para el próximo torneo quiero también integrar al evento nuestro trabajo de Little things Creations y Fara Party Design y hacer una mesa de postres con el el tema “Tennis begins with Love”. Hice esta tabla de inspiración, la cual es la idea de hoy en “Monday of Ideas”. Mientras la creaba pensé que este tema es perfecto también para una fiesta de compromiso o ensayo de boda para los amantes del tenis. ¿No lo creen? ¡A mí me encanta el tema y los colores!)

Craft Day- Spring Crayon Flowers!

I love doing crafts with my kids, but not so much the mess afterwards. I know that's part of making crafts and often the mess is necessary to achieve a great result. However, there are other times that we mothers, are not willing to make that sacrifice. This time was one of those times. I wanted to do something creative with my kids, but mess-free. So I decided to try this great idea that I found some time ago on Family fun's website.

It was something easy, fun, earth friendly and my kids love it! In the family fun website the tutorial was about hearts, but since these days are all about blooming, we made Crayon Flowers!
Took some old crayons and peel away all the paper. To organize the crayons and to avoid the messy crayon's papers on the floor, we use some beautiful plastic baskets that I bought recently for only a dollar in the supermarket (great deal, isn't?). We cut all the crayons in small pieces and follow the instructions of Family Fun Website!
*If very important that you don't forget the sheet pan under the crayons, you don't want messy melted crayon on your oven! It's all about mess-free craft!
At the end, we got a crafty and mess-free day and my kids were amazed with the result! Try it yourself!

(Amo hacer manualidades con mis hijos, pero no me encanta el desorden que queda luego. Yo sé que eso es parte de hacer manualidades y que muchas veces el desorden es esencial para un resultado genial. Sin embargo, hay otras veces que nosotras las madres, no estamos dispuestas a hacer tal sacrificio. Esta vez era una de esas veces. Quería hacer alguna actividad creativa con mis chicos, pero que fuera libre de desorden. Entonces, decidí tratar esta gran idea que encontré hace un tiempo en la página web de Family fun.
¡Era algo sencillo, divertido, considerado con la naturaleza y a los niños le encanta! ¡En la página web el tutorial era para hacer corazones, pero como estos días son todo acerca de florecer, nosotros hicimos crayones en forma de flores!
Usamos algunos crayones viejos y le quitamos todo el papel de envoltura. Para organizar los crayones y evitar el desorden de los papelitos de envoltura en el piso, utilizamos unas hermosas canastas de plástico que compré hace poco por tan sólo un dólar cada una en el supermercado (una gran compra, ¿verdad?). Cortamos los crayones en pequeños pedazos y seguimos las instrucciones de la página web de Family Fun.
*Es muy importante que no olviden la bandeja de debajo de la de los crayones, tú no quieres un desorden de crayola derretida en tu horno. Todo es acerca de hacer una manualidad libre de desordenes.

Al final tuvimos un día creativo, libre de desorden y mis hijos quedaron asombrados con el resultado.Trátenlo ustedes mismos.

Today, April 2 we Light It UP Blue to help shine the light of autism. We join Autism Speaks and all the mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings and everyone who care about a child or an adult with Autism spectrum to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day. Not just because is the right thing to do and is a good cause, but also because we love a child with Autism with all our hearts. He is a very special boy with great technological talents and very noble and loving personality. We know that he will achieve great things in his life and feel so bless to have him in ours. Dany your is our HEART in "I love someone with Autism".

Craft Day- Bunny lantern

It's me again, Laiana, with new name and image on the blog, Unique Margarita. Please check it out and give me your opinion about it. I will highly appreciate it.
I am excited to be here again, this time sharing with you some crafty Easter ideas. As you all know, Easter is almost here! We adore this celebration because is sweet, fun and is the most colorful time of the year. Perfect time to get inspire and crafty. We recently made a Bunny lantern and today we are sharing the photos with all of you.
I am so mad with myself, because I didn't take pictures of the process of making it, but don't worry is super easy to make.
First of all you will need a reused clean glass jar, some white tissue paper, white glue or mod pod, a paintbrush (to apply the glue on the jar), pieces of paper and markers.
The process is the following:
First cut all the tissue paper on small pieces (not to small, about 3- 4 inches squares) and glue it all over the glass jar, cover it entirely. Let it dry.
Meanwhile, have fun creating all the face parts of the bunny with paper and markers. Paste everything in place, put a tea or votive candle inside and viola you got a Bunny lantern.
You can also have fun with pipe cleaners and create cute Easter sculptures. This one was made by my sister, Adriana.

Soy yo otra vez, Laiana, ahora con una imagen y nombre nuevo en mi blog, Unique Margarita. Por favor, denle un vistazo y compartan su opinión conmigo. Se los agradeceré.
Estoy muy emocionada de estar aquí nuevamente, esta vez compartiendo con ustedes algunas ideas creativas para Pascua. Como sabrán, la Pascua casi llega! A nosotros nos encanta esta celebración porque es hermosa, divertida y ocurre en el tiempo más colorido del año. Es el tiempo perfecto para inspirarse y crear. Recientemente, creamos una lamparilla de conejo y hoy estamos compartiendo las fotos con todos ustedes.
Estoy molesta conmigo misma, porque no tomé fotografías del proceso de hacer la lamparilla, pero no se preocupen que es súper fácil de hacer.
Primero van a necesitar una botella de cristal reusada y completamente limpia, papel de seda blanco (tissue), pega blanca o mod pod, un pincel (para aplicar la pega), papel y marcadores.
El procedimiento es el siguiente:
Primero corta el papel de seda en pequeños trozos (no muy pequeños, en cuadrados de 3 a 4 pulgadas) y pégalos por todo el envase de cristal. Cúbrelo completo. Déjalo secar.
Mientras esperas que se seque, diviértete creando las partes de la cara del conejo con el papel y los marcadores. Luego pones todo en su lugar y le añades una vela adentro y listo, ya tienes una lamparilla de conejito.
También puedes divertirte haciendo figuritas con pompones y limpia pipas. Esta la hizo mi hermana Adriana.

Prepare to me amaze with this original and super cool teenage boy birthday party. My friend, colleague and customer, Claudy from Chic Candy by Claudy went over the top and prepared it for her son 12’s birthday. Her boy is a super cool teenage boy who love technology and have all the tech-gadgets, the Android theme was just perfect for him. We based the green and blue color from a photo she gave us and we add the gray and charcoal to make it more boyish. The end result was a great collection that it's now available in our Etsy store.

Craft Day- Paper Tulips

Spring days are brighter with warmer weather and flowers blooming all over. It's the most colorful season of all, thanks to all the different kind of flowers. One of the most beautiful flowers of all is the tulip. Tulips come in a great range of colors and bloom only on spring. That's why they represent springtime so well and are a great addition to decorate this season celebrations.
Here in Puerto Rico we don't have any kind of tulip, because the tropical weather. Of course you can always buy some in the flower shop, but we, the crafty ones, love to make our own.
Today's craft is also a tutorial of how to make an easy and beautiful paper tulip. These paper tulips can be use to decorate parties in a centerpiece, in your dessert table or as party favors. Also they are perfect to handout as cute little Easter gift.

(Los días de primavera son más claros con climas más calientes y las flores florecen por todas partes. Es la temporada más colorida de todas, gracias a todas las diferentes especies de flores. Una de las flores más hermosa es el tulipán. Los tulipanes vienen de una gran gama de colores y sólo florecen en primavera. Por esta razón representan tan bien la primavera y son una gran adición para decorar las celebraciones de esta época.
Aquí en Puerto Rico no tenemos ninguna especie de tulipán, debido a nuestro clima tropical. Claro, siempre se pueden comprar en alguna tienda de flores, pero a nosotros los que nos encanta las manualidades nos gusta hacer los propios.
La manualidad de hoy es también un tutorial de cómo hacer un simple y hermoso tulipán en papel. Estos tulipanes en papel se pueden utilizar para decorar fiestas, en un centro de mesa, en la mesa de postres o como regalos en la fiesta. También son perfectos para entregar como un pequeño y adorable regalo de pascua.

Step by Step Tutorial by Little things Creations

Materials
Paper (we recommend color paper) + our FREE PRINTABLE
Scissors
Kabob wood stick
Double face tape or regular tape
Flower tape (green one)
Parfait glass, shot glass or a cylinder pill bottle (use it only as a mold)
Bunnies Peeps (optional)
A beautiful and decorated pot to put it (optional)

Materiales
Papel (recomendamos papel a colores) + nuestro imprimible gratis
Tijeras
Palito de pincho de madera
Cinta adhesiva doble cara o regular
Cinta de florista (verde)
Vaso para postres, shot o botella de pastillas (solo como molde)
Malvadiscos de Conejos (opcional)
Tiesto decorado (opcional)

Step 1(Paso 1)
Cut out the petals and leaves, you can use them also as a template. It's better to use color paper, because then you will have the inside with the same color.
(Corta los pétalos y las hojas, también puedes usarlos sólo como molde. Es mejor si se imprime en papel de color, porque de esta manera también está del mismo color adentro.)

Step 2 (Paso 2)

Place one purple piece of paper around the Parfait glass (if you don't have it, you can use a pill bottle as shown above). Secure it with a little piece of tape.
(Enrolla un pedazo de papel violeta alrededor de vaso de shot o postre (si no tienes uno, puedes usar una botella de pastillas como se ve en la foto arriba). Luego lo aseguras con un pequeño pedazo de cinta adhesiva.)

Step 3 (Paso 3)

Place the other purple piece of paper around the first one and also secure it with a little piece of double tape.

Step 4 (Paso 4)

Twist all the remaining paper on the bottom.

Fold the tips

Put the wooden stick inside of it (with the pointy end inside the tulip) and secure it with tape.

Step 7 (Paso 7)
Put some floral tape all around the bottom of the tulip and all around the stick. (DON"T FORGET THE LEAVES).

Make them in different colors and place them in a pot. You will have a beautiful and colorful Springtime arrangement

Put in a yummy bunny peep inside the tulip. You will have a cute little gift for your friends, guest or even your kid's school mates!

First you will need the Free Printable file. You can download it, HERE.

Step by Step Tutorial (Tutorial paso a paso)

1. Print your file on card stock, you can print it in any printer you want, we recommend you to print it in a color laser. Additional to your printout, there's some basic materials that you will need, a scissors and a hole maker. You can embellish your tag with GLITTER, but that's optional. Also, you will need something to attach your tag to the basket, it could be anything you want, like ribbon, yarn, rope or even a pipes cleaner.

(Imprime tu documento en papel cartnó, lo puedes imprimir en cualquier impresora, nosotros recomendamos una laser a color. Además de tu impresión, necesitarás algunos materiales básicos, una tijera y un ponchador de orificios. Puedes embellecer tu etiqueta con BRILLO, pero es opcional. Además necesitarás algo para atarlo a la canasta, puede ser cualquier cosa, como cinta, hilo de tejer, soga o incluso un limpia pipas.)

2. Cut the tags out. You can cut them carefully by the line or leave a blank border.(Recorta las etiquetas. Puedes cortarlas por el borde como mucho cuidado o dejar un borde blanco alrededor.)

3. If you want to put some glitter, it will be great, because it will make it more beautiful and special. You will need glue and powder glitter for this look. below. 4. A quick and mess free way to add glitter to your work is using glitter nail polish! I learned this great tip from Linnette of Paper Glitter. This dessert table was the first one we made as Fara Party Design. It was made for the Baby Shower of my sister and brother-in-law. She wanted a blue and brown color-palette. So, we contact our college and great designer Lorell, from Sweetly Sweets to use her "It's a Boy Editable Printable Collection", which went perfect with the decoration. We add the little airplane to make it more personal, since my brother-in-law always dreamed to be a pilot. The beautiful cake was made by a local baker called Dulce by Design and embellished with a cute clothes line made out with paper clothes and two beautiful paper straws, from Polka dot Market. The same paper straws were also used to drink up the delicious and fresh squeeze lemonade.
The dessert table includes: brownies, chocolate almonds, meringues, decorated marshmallows (made by Kukis by Nana), chocolate bars, kisses and white chocolate lollipops (made by Sweet Heavens Lollipops).
The printable collection of the Sweetly Sweet includes some fun Baby Shower's games that everyone enjoy and make the event a fun one. At the end everything turned out to be beautiful and the guests were delighted with all the details. My sister-in-law were very happy and enjoy every moment.

(Esta mesa de postres fue la primera que hicimos como Fara Party Design. Fue hecha para el Baby Shower de mi cuñada y mi cuñado. Ella quería la combinación de colores de marrón y azul. Por lo tanto, llamamos a nuestra colega y gran diseñadora, Lorell de Sweetly Sweets , para usar su Colección de imprimibles llamada "It's a Boy" , la cual combinó perfectamente con la decoración. Nosotros añadimos un pequeño avión para hacerlo un poco más personalizado, ya que mi cuñado siempre soñó en ser piloto. El hermoso bizcocho fue hecho por una repostera local llamada Dulce by Design y decorado con adorable tendedero de ropa, hecho con ropa de papel y dos hermosos sorbetos de papel, de Polka Dot Market. Los mismos sorbetos se usaron para beber la deliciosa y fresca limonada.
La mesa de postre incluía: brownies, almendras cubiertas de chocolate, merengues, malvadiscos decorados (hechos por Kukis by Nana ), barras de chocolate y paletas de chocolate blanco (hechas por Sweet Heavens Lollipops).
La colección de imprimibles de Sweetly Sweet también incluía algunos divertidos juegos para Baby Shower que todo el mundo disfrutó y que hicieron la actividad una muy divertida. Al final todo resultó ser hermoso y los invitados estaban encantados con todos los detalles. Mi cuñada y la futura madre estaba muy feliz y disfrutó cada momento.)

Hi everyone! Do you saw the Oscars? I did and really enjoy them, I love Billy Crystal and how he can make jokes about everyone without been rude! Also, love the Cirque du Soleil interpretation! OMG they are incredible. Another thing that I like very much was the theme of this year Oscar's event. Because it was all about to going to the movies. I really love to go to the movies, although I can't go as often I wish, but I love it. Because at the movies you can relax, forget about everything and just enjoy all the greatness that a movie can offer, like the music, the visual effects, a wonderful story and much more. If you enjoy so much movies, like me, you will enjoy this inspiration board we made called "A night at the movies Party inspiration". How wonderful theme for movie lovers! Don't you think? We hope you can enjoy it and that can inspire you to make your own Movie night party!

(Hola a todos! ¿Vieron los oscares? Yo sí y realmente los disfruté, me encanta Billy Crystal y como puede hacer bromas de todo el mundo sin insultar a nadie. Además me encantó la interpretación de Cirque du Soleil! Dios mio son increíbles. Otra cosa que me gustó muchísimo fue el tema que escogieron para el evento de este año. Porque era todo sobre ir a a ver una película o al cine. A mi me encanta ir al cine, aunque ultimamente no puedo ir tanto como quisiera, pero me encanta! Mi razón es porque en el cine puedes relajarte, olvidarte de todo y sólo disfrutar de toda la grandesa que una película te puede ofrecer, como la música, los efectos especiales, una grandiosa historia y muchas cosas más. Si disfrutas el cine al igual que yo, vas a disfrutar esta tabla de inspiración que hicimos y que llamamos " Inspiración para una fiesta de una noche de películas". ¿No creen que es un magnífico tema para los amantes del cine? Esperamos que lo disfruten y que les sirva de inspiración para que creen su propia fiesta de película!)
