Hi friends,

This is my 1^st blog on Love and relationship. Without taking much of your time in credits and other stupid stuff, let me start away quickly (am I sounding like a TV anchor? :P)

LOVE- Quite a small word isn’t it? Although it is small, the meaning and the life changing experience associated with it by falling into it is definitely phenomenal. Why generally we say we ‘fall in love’? I believe that, we say ‘fall in love’ because if you find a good partner, then you and your partner will rise together otherwise you will literally fall in it. Quite bollywood style dialogue, isn’t it? But this is the actual meaning of falling in LOVE.

Coming to bollywood movies, we have always heard from SRK, Ranbir, and other star actors, that Love makes you complete. Trust me-It’s more than that. I believe, that It makes you feel at home. Let me give you a simple example. LOVE is when you have 2 options (a) To go out with friends and cherish your childhood memories (b) To go out with your partner to make new memories or for a walk, etc. Even though both of them are best options, but you tend to choose option (b), not because you have to but because you want to. This is not any kind of sacrifice, but you do it because you want yourself to be at home and option-2 gives you the feeling of being at home.

LOVE is about walking with your partner at night and talking your heart out. You can talk about anything. It might be an idiotic or senseless thing, but your partner will still listen because what really matters for him/her is to be with you and listening to you, irrespective of the content of the talk.

I won’t say that, Love is about sharing your Life. Love is about sharing your time or rather quality time in doing what you guys want to do together. It could be travelling, shopping (I know it’s only for girls J), Cricket (Now, that’s for guys J) or drinking or even nothing. The crux remains that, you want to do it together and you guys seriously don’t need anybody.

I can write much more examples about Love without getting tired, but I know you will get tired of readingJ. The reason I wrote these things is to let you know, that if you find such a person then please don’t let him/her go from your life. We as a human have the tendency to run away from commitment, but trust me, go ahead and commit to the person. There will be definitely fights, misunderstanding, differences of opinion on some matters, but if you guys don’t require anyone when you are with each other i.e. you feel @ home, then seriously close your laptop and call him/her and let them know, how much they mean to you and how much you care for them.

These are few of my personal experiences. I want to say only 1 thing; Love can’t be defined by any book, words or blog. It’s just a matter of feeling. If this blog has helped you in understanding your feeling, then don’t thank me, just be with your partner and make him/her smile. I will consider that as positive feedbackJ

Hi Friends,

I have recently shifted to Ghatkopar, Mumbai. From past 30 days I was observing a beggar sitting outside Ghatkopar station with her 2 year old kid. The lady just sits over there demanding money from every other person that passes through Ghatkopar station. However, yesterday night it was different, I went pass Ghatkopar station and I was not able to notice her so, I started moving towards my home but, then I stopped at a point and thought of going back to check that, whether she was there or not? So, I started moving backwards and what I saw was really shocking, the lady beggar was still sitting at the same place with her kid. I was unable to digest that fact that, I was not able to see her when I went pass Ghatkopar station. At that time I questioned myself that,why I was not able to notice her begging with her kid and the answer just came that, since she was doing the same activity in the routine old manner and probably if she did had changed the way of her begging or something like that then, I would have noticed her without any problem.

On that day, I understood some basic concepts of Life which I would like to share with you,

If you want to get noticed then, you have to either do some different things or the same thing in a different manner and further, it's not just only about getting noticed but it's also about living life in a satisfactory manner by doing things in a different manner which will help you to stay excited and focused on your aim.
We can learn from any person even from a beggar.
We should have good observation and analytical skills at any point of time so, as to observe and learn from the people around us.

Lekin yeh sach hai ki yahi sab "KYUN" hamare zindagi ki mithaas ko barkarar rakhne mein madad karte hain. So Just Enjoy them......:)

Unpredictable Life

LiFe is seriously unpredictable. We don’t have any knowledge about what is going to happen in our life in the next minute. Nowadays, we hear & read that some or the other people die in accidents, in work etc every day or every minute. We seriously don’t know whether we will remain alive the next day to switch-off the alarm? Or whether we will be able to reach our home in the evening? Somebody has rightly said that, we are sent here on earth with limited prepaid balance & as and when the balance gets over we are bound to return back & we also don’t know the amount of prepaid balance that we own & still we use life time validity sim cards J. So, we have limited prepaid balance of life & the life itself is unpredictable & death is inevitable & hence, we should do something awesome during this so called limited prepaid lifetime so that, we can at least die in peace. We should live our life in such a way that, at the time of our death we should be able to cherish of each & every second of our life that was spent here on earth. For this feeling we & only we have to make an effort because nobody is going to live our life. Hence, we should try to follow some steps to make our life worth cherishing,

Try not to postpone your work till tomorrow because we don't know about future
Have a good balance of work & life: - Work is just a part of life. Your work will not come to your help you when you are sick, your family & friends will. So, work & also try to spend some quality time with your family & friends
Don’t copy & paste: - Try to live your own life. Don’t try to imitate somebody’s life. Try to be unique. Life your life with full energy & enthusiasm. Please don’t use Microsoft Word’s shortcut of CTRL c + CTRL v in your life.
Don’t wait up to 40 years to start something new: - One of my friends told me that, he will start his hotel when he will be of 40 years but, does he know that whether he will live till 40 years? Nobody knows who will remain alive till that time, so do it what you love now. Start planning & executing for the same.
If you love someone express it & don’t wait for the future. Don’t worry, if he or she is yours then, they will come to you otherwise you have board a wrong bus and you should try to move on J
Don’t hate anyone, forget easily (obviously I am not telling you to forget the lesson). It was amazingly narrated by Will Smith that, “Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you & treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too”
Make mistakes, Fail, get up & get going. Laugh when others cry, dance like nobody is watching you, listen music on open road, get wet in rain, roam in summers, enjoy the winters
Try to make difference in somebody’s life by giving your helping hand. It was rightly said by APJ Abdul Kalam that, “I am not handsome but at least I can give my hand to someone”. Just help someone to find his or her happiness & it may also happen that you will also find your happiness in that matter. “Bolte hai jiske apne sapne pure nai hote woh dusro k sapne pure karne mei uski madad karte hai aur jiske haath madad k liye aage aate hai woh ishwaar ka sabse khaas banda ban jata hai”. So, help others & you will automatically understand the meaning of satisfaction in your life.
Don’t leave but live life. Whatever it may take to live it. Don’t be afraid of future, don’t just exist but live, Get out of your safe zone & explore, become what you want to, become a chameleon-fit in anywhere, be a rock star-stand out everywhere. Get out of the stands and play the game of life. Don’t worry even you die doing it because at least after that you will not die by regretting the things not done or untried.
Last & the most important thing, try to make the person happy whom you see every day in the mirror JJ whatever it may take to do that.

P.S:- I have written life as “LiFe” in the beginning of the blog cause, I wanted to show the unpredictability of this word & its meaning J.

Is it late to say Sorry?

Hello friends, one of the interesting topics in today’s life is that, whether it is late to say I am Sorry to someone for our deeds and mistakes? Now, First of all I am not talking about evil or absolutely wrong deeds; I am talking about the mistakes that each and every human being makes during the time of making or maintaining a relationship.

It happens in our day to day life that we make mistakes (Not 1 but many), we act stupidly or do something that may affect our relationship with someone. Now, is it late to say sorry to that person after a year or so? I will say NO. Sometime, we take a hell lot of time to realize that we had did something wrong and we are really for sorry for the mistake that was made knowingly or unknowingly. Remember that, the time you did that thing and somebody got upset and you felt kind of bad, but just let it run its course and never said a word about it again? There's still time to say you're sorry.

However, if you say sorry after some long time then, this thing may happen: -

It may happen that the person is waiting for your sorry all this time and he or she will ultimately forget you and then, your relationship will become normal as it was before committing the mistake;
The person whom you are saying sorry may not consider you’re sorry i.e. he or she will still think that you are not apologizing from your heart. However, when you are really sorry from your heart then you should not care about thinking of that person because for you, the person and not his/her thinking matters. Remember at that time that, “Life is short, don't waste time worrying about what people think of you Hold on to the ones that care, in the end they will be the only ones there.” So, when you are really sorry from your heart then, you will do everything to make the person happy. I know that, it might take a lot of time and it may also happen that your relationship with that person may not remain the same as it was before making the mistake but, still when you are sorry from your heart and you believe it then, you are ready to face any consequences and you will try to get all the things on the track;
Now, the worst case scenario is that the person will not approve your sorry still you should say sorry because when you say sorry then, at least you are doing your work of apologizing from your heart. Further, you should learn that you will not commit the same mistake again and will try to change yourself in that area.

The thing is we’re all human and as filmy as it sounds, we all make mistakes. What matter more is how you deal with them. From inebriated accidents to practical jokes, our mistakes are everywhere.

Now, how should you say sorry for your mistakes,

First of all tell I am Sorry by looking in the eyes of that person;
Secondly tell why and what meant you think that you are sorry;
Thirdly do something that can fix the situation if possible;
Fourth explain why you said sorry now and not earlier.

However, you have to remember that saying sorry is a Nishkam Karma Yoga i.e. action without expecting result because all you can do is to try, be sincere. You cannot force other people to feel things that they cannot feel. At least if you try, you will have the answer and a clean conscience that you did try to put things right.

So, how late it may be, at least try to say sorry because that person & not your or his ego matters to you.

Sorry means you leave yourself open, to embrace or to ridicule or to revenge. Sorry is a question that begs forgiveness, because the metronome of a good heart won't settle until things are set right and true. Sorry doesn't take things back, but it pushes things forward. It bridges the gap. Sorry is a sacrament. It's an offering A gift.”

Is Money a root cause of all Evil?

Money the root cause of all evil!!!! Is it true?

Hey friends, many times I have heard these lines over and over again.” Paisa ka Asar hai” or “Money is the Root cause of all evil” or “paise ke karan hi aisa hua”. All of these lines explain one thing i.e. according to many people Money is the root cause all evil.

Do you believe so? At least I don’t believe so. Yes, I don’t believe that money is the root cause of all evil. Money really matters my friend. Let me explain you with an example, suppose you are outside a shop and you don’t have a single penny in your pocket and you are continuously staring at the delicious food items in the shop and imagining yourself eating the stuff but, of no use since you can’t get the item because you don’t have enough money or rather you don’t have any money. So as per this example money is important since, it satisfies your hunger. Let me take another example you are in a shopping mall and have purchased some item within your budget but, suddenly you see some cool stuff and you think it will look good on your mother/father/girlfriend/boyfriend etc but of no use since you are out of your budget and you don’t have any extra penny to spend. So, money also satisfies your requirement.

So, in short money plays as a mediator in satisfying your needs or requirement or education etc. Although money is fulfilling all your needs, so why it has become the Root cause of all evil? Money doesn’t change you, it just helps to change your appearance, Money doesn’t make you bad it and neither does it makes you selfish. Money doesn’t have any human character to make changes in other person’s mind; so the evil is actually due to the change of the person’s attitude and not the money. The attitude of person changes and it’s not the fault of money.

Take the above example of boy standing outside the shop. Now, take 2 persons who are equally rich say Multi-Millionaire. Suppose Mr. A feeds the boy by giving him some bucks and Mr. B just look at the boy and does nothing apart from giving a grief look. Now, what will you say, is this the Money that is the root cause of evil or the attitude of person that is root cause?

Money is not bad at all. You should definitely have it. You should be satisfied with what you have but should definitely desire of having more. However, you cannot really say that money is the root cause of all evil.

So, have the money and be happy but, it does not mean that you should change your attitude with money. It is cool that you change your outer looks but, inside the outer appearance the original ‘YOU’ must not change his/her thoughts or thinking. Try to get more money but, first of all be satisfied with what you have currently and remember money is not the root cause of all the evils.

Huf!! What is Planning?

Everybody has heard the word planning right from our school days. Sometimes we do feel the questions like,

(i)Is planning really necessary?

(ii) How and what to plan?

(iii)How much to plan?

Hmm.. So, the answer for your first question is that our life itself starts with planning i.e. Family Planning!! (Remembered). If our life starts with the word planning so why not to plan for the rest of the important things in life like for our finances, Job and the most importantly for our time?. Let me share you one example, I know a person who has really planned his life very well and he was always aware of his need in life. In fact he knew that he will have his dream car in this year and he really did it. Amazing isn’t it!!!

One of the famous quotes I have come across about planning is that “Failing to plan is planning to fail” by Alan Lakein.

Now, the answer for the second question is not with me. Actually each one of us has a different prospect towards life. Somebody wants to achieve fame while somebody of us wants to achieve money while others want to achieve mental peace. The answer of the second question lies within us only. Suppose, If I want to earn money then, I should plan for its investment or try to find out some plan for business or other things.

Now, for the third question, the answer also depends upon your patience and your capability. If you have really good capability, better plan and a long term vision then, planning will be more otherwise it will be comparatively less.

Importance of Planning

Careful preparation and planning is a key step to any endeavor. When we were schooling, our teachers prepared for us a “study plan”. The college football tournament was not won by kicking the ball around, but by adhering to a “game plan”. When we had enough funds to build a house, we prepared through our architects a “building plan”. For our business to tick, we put in place “business plan”, “sales plan”, “marketing plan” and so on.

There is nothing like being prepared for every possible situation and the earlier we do it, the more assured we are of our success.

Let me tell you 2 stories regarding the importance of planning ( The stories are taken from various websites and are not created by me)

A. Story: The Ant and the Grasshopper

In a field one summer’s day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart’s content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.

“Why not come and chat with me,” said the Grasshopper, “instead of toiling and moiling in that way?”

“I am helping to lay up food for the winter,” said the Ant, “and recommend you to do the same.”

“Why bother about winter?” said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present.” But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew: It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

Moral:

It is best to prepare for the days of necessity i.e. “Planning”.

B. Story :- This story is about three fish

Three fish lived in a pond. One was named “Plan ahead”, another was “Think fast” and the third was called “Wait and see”. One day they heard a fisherman say he would be going to cast his net in their pond the next day.

“Plan ahead” said,” I am swimming down the river tonight”.

“Think fast” said, “I am sure I will come up with a plan”.

“Wait and See” lazily said,” I just can’t think about it now”.

When the fisherman cast his nets, “Plan ahead” was able to escape from his nets. But “Think fast” and “Wait and see” were caught by the fisherman.

“Think fast” quickly rolled his belly up and pretended to be dead. “Oh, this fish is no good!” said the fisherman and threw him safely back into the water. However, “Wait and see” ended up in the fish market.

That is why people say, “In times of danger, when the net is cast, plan ahead or plan to think fast!”

Planning for Life
(i) Start with the setting a goal of five year i.e. how you would like to be seen 5 years from now;

(ii) Now analyze the goals and describe the goals in details as much as possible;

(iii) Rank your goals in order of their importance;
(iv) When you rank your goals you will get a clear picture of your life’s requirement and finally have a good plan to reach towards that goal.

The above steps will probably help you to build a plan towards your goal. This plan will be revised in future as per your requirements and change in circumstances. Since, the planning is about your future it will not be valid to say that, once you have made a plan it will be same throughout. The life itself is unsecured so how can there be a full proof plan, it's just the way to figure out your needs and requirements.

If you have not started planning yet then, start it now because it is “BETTER LATE THAN NEVER”. If you think you can’t do it or it is not possible for you to plan then remember the famous quote of Henry Ford, “Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you are right”

Nevertheless planning is an important part but planning without execution is of use. So, execution also plays a major role in completing your planned mission. So proper planning supported with nice execution will make your dreams come true.

Hey friends, have you tried to compare yourself with others? Don’t say “No” as I know that, we all (Obviously including me) have at some point or the other have compared ourselves with other. But, have you asked question to yourself that, is it correct to compare yourself with others?

Let me, explain you the concepts of comparison,

1. Comparing yourself with others

This type of Comparison will mean that, you are comparing profitability of a Manufacturing Company with a Service Provider company and analysing the mistakes between such profit differences. Or that, you are comparing Microsoft Excel with Microsoft Word and analysing that, why the calculations don’t work in word but works in excel?

Guys, I know that this are vague examples but just think it with your open mind that, comparing yourself with others will mean that, you are just wasting your valuable time and further, the results will also be vague or rather useless.

2. Comparing yourself with your past

Now, if you try to compare yourself with your past then, it will definitely help you

This type of comparison means that, you are comparing a company’s past balance sheet with current balance sheet. This will help you realize that, what are the trends or growth patterns and the reasons behind that growth. Or it will mean that comparison of Microsoft excel with Quick office Excel and understanding the positive and negative sides of both of them.

I know that, this blog will be seen as just describing CA and Engineering students. It’s, because of the fact that, I am very much familiar with this both fields and thanks to my friends for being the reasons behind my knowledge.

In simple terms I would like to explain that, you are unique my buddy, don’t waste your time and efforts judging and comparing yourself with others. God has made everybody unique. Don’t think that, “why that person is happier in job/work/life than me?” Just remember that it doesn’t mean that, since a particular good thing doesn’t happen to you at this time then, it will never happen again. So, don’t compare yourself with others. But, do compare yourself with your past that will help you to realize that where are you going and what you want to do with your precious life.

So, when you are trying to compare yourself with others then, just remember the following lines “Comparing myself with others just makes me feel superior or inferior, never acceptable exactly as I am. What a waste of time & energy! There has never been another person like me since time began, so there is no need to compare and getting F****d up with my life!!!”

Flexibility is that necessary??

I think so yes. I just had an occasion to travel to my native place in a train. For almost past 2 to 3 years i am used to travelling in 3 tier ac and bus but, after such a long span of time i was travelling in sleeper class of the train. Frankly speaking i was not at all comfortable with me travelling in sleeper class of train because of the traffic of the people there. Basically the fear was because of the reason, that i was less flexible then. But, after spending almost 2 to 3 hours there, i realized that is it so mean on the part of me sitting and thinking about my bad luck of not getting tickets to 3 tier ac. But anyways, bolte hai na “Jo hota hai ache k liye hi hota hai”, so thanks to the great Indian Railways and hopefully to Railway Minister that, i have got sleeper tickets so that i can understand the meaning and importance of being flexible. Now as journey progressed I started enjoying it really well. The journey was awesome and believe me it was better than my journey which I always use to do in AC class. On that day I realized that we have to remain kid in most of our situation in life, because kids do adjust in all surrounding without regretting or cursing anything and I have seen the fact in the train itself. In that journey I saw a sweet kid roaming here and there just trying to enjoying his stay in train. He was really jumping around, hanging and shaking hands with unknown people and greeting them in his own language. But he was just happy and totally unaware or not at all worrying about the fact that the train compartment was congested and there were unknown people all around. He was just trying to enjoy in his own way, which I think he does normally everywhere. But ultimately I thanks to that kid that, I really enjoyed my journey and he really taught me the meaning of being flexible and being adjustable in all situation of life.

I just wanted to share a little advice which was once explained to me by my sister (Ami Jain),

To be successful..

To be respected..

To live happily..

It is necessary to be flexible...

Some says life is a race..

Some says life is a game..

Some says life is love..

What i believe life is a challenge..

With lots of ups and downs..

It is necessary to be flexible..

It is necessary to be flexible....

At last I can say that Flexibility here doesn’t mean to keep your body flexible but to keep your mind flexible or rather adjustable with circumstances….

Here is some value for life

Hey guys thanx for visiting my blog, by the way everybody is writing blog like someone for IT, some for TECHNOLOGY, some for GAMES, some for this SOME for that but I am writing this thing because for every above blog you need some sparx in your journey called life.

1. INTRODUCTION PART

There is one famous quote said by SWAMI VIVEKANAD that ‘ IF YOU ARE HERE IN THIS WORLD DO SOMETHING MARKEABLE OTHERWISE THERE WILL REMAIN NO DIFFERENCE BETWEN YOU AND TREES’

All of you will say that this quote is true but in the inner part of human brain there arises one question that will I succeed, is there too much risk?, what will my family members say about this nuisance etc, etc.

See I want to share a quote, an idea that ‘ITS YOU WHO WAS BORN, ITS YOU who WILL DO HARD WORK, ITS YOU WHO WILL GIVE EXAMS, ITS YOU WILL GET THE RESULTS, ITS YOU WHO WILL ENJOY, ITS YOU WHO WILL SUFFER’ if its only you then what the hell that matters with the famous saying in Hindi ‘SOCIETY WALE KYA KAHENGE?’

Life is not about just accepting things but sometimes or many times it can be said as changing the things as you like, as you love and as you desire.

Life has challenges accept it, life has difficulty face it, life is good life is also bad at many times .Life's not always fair, Sometimes you can get a crack even sliding down a rainbow but to be a successful person it is necessary to taste all the things.

2. ABOUT FAILURE

Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.

Sometimes we fail in life not only in making money or doing business but also in love, in relations, in health etc. But there always exist two options with us either to QUIT or TO FACE it and be a leader with the hardship; it’s all up to us.

There is a book called THE SECRET in which there is a full explanation about the LAW OF ATTRACTION in life. OBVISOULSLY NOT THE LAW OF ATTRACTION MADE BY NEWTON. The LAW OF ATTRACTION here means that whatever comes to you in your life like success, failure, wealth, health BAD or GOOD is because of your feelings and belief that comes in your mind. The thing comes in your life because you have invited it into your life by just thinking of it repeatedly.

For Example, if you are late for an interview or for your class then you will think that please god AAJ KOI RTO WALA NA PAKDE YA AAJ MERI BIKE KA TYRE PUNCTURE NA HO but it will not be called incident if on the same day YOUR BIKE GETS PUNCTURED OR YOU ARE PROBABLY CAUGHT BY AN RTO OFFICER. The reason for that is you are thinking of that in your mind and your mind cannot recognise it is GOOD OR BAD for you, it’s just passes on the SIGNAL to the world called as MIND RAYS and your thinking will be attracted to yourself. THE THING IS ONLY THAT YOU ARE LIKE A BIG MAGNET IN THIS WORLD AND YOU WILL ATTRACT EVERTHING whether YOU THINK BAD OR GOOD it’s up to you.[Try to read Book "The Secret" it will help you more here]

Further POSITIVE THOUGHTS are a MILLION times stronger than NEGATIVE THOUGHTS so if you are positive thinker than you are the world in yourself.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN OPTIMIST AND PESSIMIST CAN ONLY BE SUMMARIZE IN JUST A FEW LINES,

3. OUR SITUATION

Another thing is that with the human life is that although our BODY OR PHYSICAL PRESENCE is in PRESENT but our MIND OR MENTAL PRESENCE is either in PAST or somewhere roaming in FUTURE.

I just don’t know why people forget to live life in present. People are always asking about the good old days. I say, why don't you say the good now days? I remembered while I was starting my studies in CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY (C.A) field, many of the people kept asking me KI YAAR TU PASS HO PAYEGA, YAAR ENTRANCE EXAM TOH HO JAYEGI BUT AAGE C.A BAHUT HARD HAIN like all. But guys just be cool, live life in today yaar. What is the meaning of living in future when you know that if you do the right things in present your future will definitely be good obviously with some darkness which can be removed with some CFL Light or some branded torch of happiness and confidence.
I can also add my experience here when i joined engineering all said me you will have to study day and night and its too hard but to be frank i today m ejoying more with friends then studies concentrate in class and understand the concept well thats it after that 1-2 reading are enough! - Pankaj :)

Just remember one thing If you worry about what might be, and wonder what might have been, you will ignore what is.

4. CURIOSITY

I really liked a wonderful saying by ALBERT EINSTIEN that “I HAVE NO SPECIAL TALENTS BUT THE THING IS I AM JUST PASSIONATELY CURIOUS’. Many of us while reaching somewhat of age of 20 or more lack curiosity to know more things, like the children have. Just take an example that when you were small and you were given a new toy or a new game whatever maybe how curious you were to know its function, to know its usage etc. If you don’t expect the fact then just see some little children around your home you will find what the word curiosity really is? Curiosity is good, it’s great it really helps to solve the problems easily.

Be curious always! For knowledge will not acquire you; you must acquire it.

5. CONFIDENCE

Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.

Be confident in every aspect of your life, because it’s an only tool that no one will take it from you not even your bad days. Here is a real life story for what you can say AS CONFIDENCE, DETERMINATION AND PERSISTENCE HO TO AISA.

In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.

Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.

Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.

The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to walk or talk or even move.

Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roebling’s were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built. In spite of his handicap Washington was never discouraged and still had a burning desire to complete the bridge and his mind was still as sharp as ever.

He tried to inspire and pass on his enthusiasm to some of his friends, but they were too daunted by the task. As he lay on his bed in his hospital room, with the sunlight streaming through the windows, a gentle breeze blew the flimsy white curtains apart and he was able to see the sky and the tops of the trees outside for just a moment.

It seemed that there was a message for him not to give up. Suddenly an idea hit him. All he could do was move one finger and he decided to make the best use of it. By moving this, he slowly developed a code of communication with his wife.

He touched his wife's arm with that finger, indicating to her that he wanted her to call the engineers again. Then he used the same method of tapping her arm to tell the engineers what to do. It seemed foolish but the project was under way again.

For 13 years Washington tapped out his instructions with his finger on his wife's arm, until the bridge was finally completed. Today the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge stands in all its glory as a tribute to the triumph of one man's indomitable spirit and his determination not to be defeated by circumstances. It is also a tribute to the engineers and their team work, and to their faith in a man who was considered mad by half the world. It stands too as a tangible monument to the love and devotion of his wife who for 13 long years patiently decoded the messages of her husband and told the engineers what to do.

Perhaps this is one of the best examples of a never-say-die attitude that overcomes a terrible physical handicap and achieves an impossible goal.

Often when we face obstacles in our day-to-day life, our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn Bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realised with determination and persistence, Confidence, no matter what the odds are

This life is worth living, we can say, since it is what we make it.

Live life to the fullest, love it enjoy it have fun with it, play it and finally be yourself because you are the one specially made by GOD. Enjoy failure, live the moment of success, roam with friends, read books, play games etc. Because life is given by GOD to make a living and not to just to live.
