Nifty closed at around 5425 the first day of March series. Nifty rolled around 67 and Bank nifty at around 73%.Selling in Nifty from 5600 levels was majorly dictated by banking stocks. Highest Open interest is in 5500 call and in 5300 put. Nifty might trade in 5250-5650 in the short term. The Weighted average price for Nifty is at 5565 and Bank nifty at 10810.VIX might trade in the range of around 26.5 to 21.5 for the next 10 days.

Nifty: positive movement is expected in the Nifty till it holds above 5450. In the short-term, 5750 is expected to act as a strong resistance

for the Nifty. Otherwise, the Nifty may continue to consolidate in the range of 5460-5750

Bank Nifty: Banking index witnessed increase in momentum and saw the largest weekly gain of the previous seven weeks of continuous rally led by SBI that gained around 12% weekly. On the higher side, 11900-12050 is likely to act as a resistance and on the lower side 10800 should act as a support breaching which long liquidation could be seen from momentum players who are riding the trend.

Nifty F&O Call: Buy at 5570 with a two-day target of 5620 (spot level) and stop loss of 5545 (spot level), says Hemen Kapadia, technical analyst, on CNBC Awaaz.

Nifty F&O Call: Sell with a two- day target of 5475 (spot level) and stop loss of 5625 (spot level), says Hitesh Sheth of Prabhudas Lilladher on CNBC Awaaz.

MCX GOLD APRIL

MCX Gold April as seen in the weekly chart above has initially moved lower, but found very good support at 27958 levels. Later prices moved sharply towards 28271 levels and finally closed sharply lower from the previous weeks closing levels.

For the next week we expect gold prices to find resistance at 28220-28240 levels and further above strong resistance is seen at 28410-28450 levels. Trading consistently above 28460 would trigger a rally initially towards 28600 levels, then 28774 and then finally towards 29104 levels.

Strong Support is now observed at 27930-27890 levels. Trading consistently below 27870 levels would trigger sharp correction initially towards 27760 levels, and then finally towards the Major support at 27550 levels.

Trend: Down : S1- 27920 S2-27760 R1-28230 R2-28410.

Recommendation: Sell MCX Gold April between 28140-28180, SL-28301, Target -27950/27820.

International Spot Gold
Trend: Down: S1- $1707,S2-$1689,R1-$1740,R2-$1755

MCX SILVER APRIL

MCX Silver March as seen in the weekly chart above has initially moved higher, but found very good resistance at 57038 levels. Later prices fell sharply towards 55551 levels and finally closed sharply lower from the previous weeks closing levels.

For the next week we expect Silver prices to find resistance at 56130-56230 levels. Trading consistently above 56250 levels would lead towards the strong resistance levels at 56800-56900 levels. Daily closing above 56900 levels would indicate that a short term bottom has been posted and thereby a new rally can be expected initially towards 57950 then 58600 and then finally towards 59150 levels.

Strong Support is now observed at 55300-55200 levels. Trading below 55200 levels would give correction initially towards 54600, and then finally towards the Major support at 53400.

Trend: Down: S1-55300,S2-54600,R1-56250,R2-56900

Recommendation:

Sell MCX Silver March Between 56200-56300, SL-57001, Target -55350/54650.

International Spot Silver
Trend: Down: S1- $32.50,S2-$31.85,R1-$33.40 ,R2-$33.96

MCX COPPER FEBRUARY

MCX Copper February as seen in the weekly chart above has moved marginally higher, but found strong resistance at 425.65 levels. Later prices fell sharply towards 403.55 levels and finally closed sharply lower.

For the next week we expect Copper prices to find resistance at 411-413 levels. Trading consistently above 413 can lead towards the strong resistance at 419 levels. Multiple closing above 419 levels would indicate that a short term bottom has been posted in the market and thereby new leg up can be expected initially towards 427 levels, then 433 and then finally towards 439 levels.

Strong support is now observed at 398-396 levels. Trading consistently below 395 levels would further extend the last weeks fall initially towards 389 levels, and then finally towards the major support at 378 levels

Trend: Down: S1- 398,S2-389,R1-412 ,R2-419

Recommendation:

Sell MCX Copper February between 410-412, SL-421, Target –399

Buy MCX Copper February between 398-396, SL-393, Target –409

LME COPPER :

Trend: Down :S1- $8010,S2-$7840,R1-$8295,R2-$8460

MCX CRUDE MARCH

MCX Crude March as seen in the weekly chart above has initially moved lower, but found good support at 4947 levels. Later prices rallied sharply towards 5149 levels, and finally closed sharply higher.

For the next week we expect Crude prices to find support at 5085-5065 levels and then strong support is seen at 4990-4970 levels. Trading consistently below 4965 levels would trigger a sharp correction initially towards 4877 levels, then 4811 and then finally towards the major support at 4750 levels.

Resistance is now observed at 5210-5230 levels. Trading consistently above 5240 levels would further extend the current rally initially towards 5280 levels, then 5340 and then finally towards the Major resistance at 5421 levels.

Trend: Up : S1- 5065,S2-4990,R1-5210,R2-5280

Nifty 5420 - 5530 levels 13-17 Feb 12

The Bulls continued to hold the fort as Nifty hits its highest level in 27 weeks during last week trade. In the process, index posted new swing low at 5320 which becomes immediate reference point for support.On the weekly chart the Index has formed

a "Doji" candlestick pattern showing initial sign of indecision after a steep rally of the last five week. The low of the previous week placed at 5322 will be a critical support. A close below this level could exacerbate profit booking in the market and drag down the Nifty towards 5240 in the coming week. On the higher side Nifty closing above the 5420 would open up sides towards 5530 levels.

F&O View For This Week 13-17 Feb 12

FIIs manage to buy above`10bn for the month. Delivery buying was seen across market. For the week, Nifty might take support at 5300 were highest put writing is also seen. On upside 5500 which hold highest OI on call side will act as immediate

resistance level. With just 2 weeks left for expiry adequate strategy would be short strangle i.e Sell Nifty 5500call & 5200put at total premium of `65-70. Sector specific banking, realty, infra stocks will still outperform in markets.

The initial breakout above 5400 levels turned out to be whipsaw but it does not indicate that the downtrend is resumed. In coming week expect the bullish momentum to resume on move past 5400 levels and immediate target is seen at 5520 levels.

Nifty and Sensex both indices witnessed profit booking at higher levels on weak global cues. Global developments as well as domestic cues relating to Q3FY12 results outcome will continue to influence the market trend ahead. On downside 5,050 and then 4,950-4,940 will act as major support levels for the short term.

Indian Equity Market is still in the over bought zone and one can expect further down trend in the near term. For intraday trading tomorrow Nifty will likely to test 5,068 and 4,992 levels as its support. The resistance levels are placed at 5,120 and 5,150 levels. The markets are likely to get affected by the European summit which may bring out rescue packages for Euro zone.
