What are the big changes? Amazon says that the update enhances UI fluidity and performance, improves the touchscreen’s responsiveness, lets you remove recent items from the carousel, and gives you the ability to add a password lock for WiFi access.

Initial reports are saying that the update does make the UI a bit smoother, and that the Kindle Fire now has fewer problems recognizing touch. The Silk browser, which has been panned for slowness and general lack of smoothness, is said to be improved as well.

Is the new update going to make the Kindle Fire’s software as smooth as the iPad’s? No way — a custom UI layered over an old version of Android will never be that smooth, but it does offer a step forward from where it was.

The ability to customize the carousel is another welcomed change, in fact it’s a head-scratcher that it wasn’t there at launch. If you pick up someone else’s Fire, navigate to a web page, do you want the original owner to see that page featured on the home screen? Now you have the option to remove that.

The WiFi password change is in direct response to concerns over one-click purchases. Amazon has made it remarkably difficult to prevent children from making purchases when using their parents’ Fire. More direct parental controls are probably coming, but requiring a password for WiFi is a small — but significant — step in that direction. Now, as long as WiFi is off when you hand your Fire to a child, he can’t rack up a $1000 bill of apps, movies, and books.

One potential negative that the update brings is that is breaks root, and blocks the use of the Kindle Fire one-click root utility. As the update will be coming over the air whether you like it or not, you’ll need to either flash a custom ROM or a pre-rooted version of 6.2.1 to avoid losing root. We’ll have instructions soon.

Check to see if you’ve already gotten the OTA. Tap the quick settings icon (the gear on the upper right of your homescreen), tap More, then Device. If it’s 6.2.1 then you already have the update (stop now). If it’s 6.2 then you haven’t received it yet (proceed).
On a PC, download the 6.2.1 software.
With the Kindle Fire powered on and the screen unlocked, connect the device to your PC via USB cable (not included with the Fire). On the PC, open the drive folder for the Fire, and then the kindleupdates folder. Drop the software update file there. This should work just the same on PC or Mac.
After the file transfer has completed (watch the status on your PC), tap the Disconnect button on your Kindle Fire’s screen. Disconnect the USB cable.
After making sure your battery isn’t low, tap the Quick Settings icon on the Fire (that gear icon), then More, then Device. Tap Update your Kindle. The device will begin the process, and reboot twice while updating. After it’s complete, you will be running verison 6.2.1. Enjoy a less buggy, less hackable Kindle Fire.

Achieving Perfect Score for On-Page SEO | Since Google Panda, the role of a unique quality article with minimum 500 words and optimize with the on-page SEO is become more important than before. I am always use Easy WP SEO plugin to handle all-aspect of my website On-Page SEO. Usually, it is quiet easy to achieve 80%+ score, but to achieving the perfect 100% On-Page score is kind of difficult.

Here are some tricks that I usually used to get the perfect 100% on-page score:

1. Keyword inside H1, H2, and H3 title

H1 - Make sure your theme using H1 for post title.
H2 - We can add subtitle with keyword in H2 format right after the article title or inside the article content.
H3 - Similar to H2 above, or we can make the title of Related Post in H3 format and contain targeted keyword(s).
For example: "Posts Related to Post Title (which always contain keyword)"

2. Description meta tag begins with keyword.

Make the description begin with keywords. If it is not possible to form a sentence, we can always create a description like this one:

"Main Keywords. Short description about the article here."

3. Content contains keyword in anchor text of at least one external link.

Change a keyword to be a link to other website. But never link to competitor's website. The easiest way is creating a link to websites like Wikipedia, About.com, or even Google itself.

For example:

Being a blogger is really a choice. As it is not as easy as declaring to the whole world that “I’m a blogger!”. Blogging is sharing. Maybe that’s the first thing comes in every new blogger’s mind like I did. But the more I get myself deeper to this blogging routines, sharing is the word I have to admit to be challenged from time to time.

Let’s say that I found a great article somewhere that I think might be useful for my readers. I quote some words from that articles, write that the topic is really important to read, and than published it just like what I’ve from time to time. Sometimes I’m just too tired to rewrite the article so I just copy-and-paste it and ‘share’ it to the world. Isn’t that ‘sharing’?

Well, today, that’s not enough. Sharing things I read from the web – reposting – to be exact, means almost nothing to the readers, as there are so many ‘bloggers’ doing the same thing. Bloggers are now have to coupe with those SEO’s stuffs. Get along with Google to gain more readers. And that’s completely a different story. So? What should a blogger do with the blog?

Cyber-espionage Attempts on US Businesses are on Rise | The Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive has just published a report to Congress that presents a frightening picture of the degree to which other countries use cyber espionage to attempt to gain business and industrial secrets from US companies. And while the biggest perpetrators of cyber-espionage against American business are no surprise—China and Russia—some US allies have engaged in efforts to obtain sensitive business and technology information as well. The report projects that China and Russia will “remain aggressive and capable collectors of sensitive US economic information and technologies, particularly in cyberspace.”

The same technological advances that many companies see as increasing productivity and reducing cost of operations are creating a huge risk of additional cyber-espionage by the ONCE’s assessment. The persistence of Internet-connected devices such as smartphones, the use of cloud computing and the rise of telework all elevate the risk of data theft, the report suggests. And the globalization of business through IT lowers the threshold further. “National boundaries will deter economic espionage less than ever as more business is conducted from wherever workers can access the Internet,” the report states. “The globalization of the supply chain for new—and increasingly interconnected—IT products will offer more opportunities for malicious actors to compromise the integrity and security of these devices.”

The biannual report is mandated by a provision of the 1995 law funding US intelligence organizations. But this edition is the first to focus heavily on cyber-espionage, reflecting how most critical data now passes over networks. The research behind the report also draws heavily from Defense Department intelligence resources as well as those of other US government agencies and the private sector.

China: The Next Big Threat?

The report pointed out that attribution of cyber-espionage efforts is difficult at best, and that while “Chinese actors are the world’s most active and persistent perpetrators of economic espionage” and the vast majority of attacks on US businesses have come from within China, the intelligence community cannot confirm who was responsible for them, let alone whether they were state sanctioned and funded.

However, the report classified the Chinese government as a “persistent collector,” and said that the Chinese frequently tried to exploit Chinese citizens or people with family or other connections to China working within US companies to steal electronic data from their employers. The report also singled out Russia’s intelligence services as “conducting a range of activities to collect economic information and technology from US targets.”

Easy: Make your blog’s page titles more interesting

The title of the listed blog’s post is the first thing that a searcher will see. For that reason, it is very important that your blog’s post use compelling blog’s post titles:

Words that match the search query will be appear in bold in the titles. Your listing will stand out if it contains bolded words so make sure that your blog’s post are so targeted that they contain the searched word in the title.
Make sure that the titles of your blog’s post are descriptive. It should be clear what to expect on the posts.
Add a call to action and benefits in your blog’s post title.
Put the most important information at the beginning of the title. Search engines might shorten the title in the search result pages and people might not see the complete text.
If you're not a major brand name, avoid your company name in your blog’s post titles.
Do not use the same title for all of your blog’s post.

Not so easy: Try to influence the description that Google uses for your blog

Just like the web page title, the description should include a call to action and it should tell searchers why your website is better than others. Unfortunately, Google usually does not use the Meta Description tag.

If you want to influence the description of your website on Google, you can do the following:

Add the keyword to the meta description: If your meta description contains the searched keyword then it is more likely that Google will use the meta description.
Block your ODP directory description: for some websites, Google uses the description that is used on DMOZ.org. You can avoid this by using the following tag on your pages: <meta name="robots" content="NOODP">
Avoid duplicate meta tags: if you use the same title and the same meta description tag on multiple pages then Google sees little value in these tags.
Completely block your snippet: if you use the <meta name="robots" content="nosnippet"> tag then Google won't display a snippet for your website.
You should only use this tag if Google uses a very bad description for your page.
Usually, Google will create the snippet based on the text that is found on your web pages. If the searched keyword appears on your web page, it will be displayed in bold face in the snippet. Bold keywords drive click-throughs.

For that reason, the keyword should appear on your blog’s post. If you want to make sure that your web page appears on Google's first result page for a particular keyword, it is important that the keyword appears in the right elements on a page.

The profit of China's largest computer manufacturer, Lenovo Group Ltd., exceeding the previous predictions, after rising 25 percent during the third quarter. The increase in profit is due to the many consumers who exchange their old computers, as well as the PC component prices.

Lenovo's net income increased to USD99, 7 million over the last three months of 2010. The year before, in the same period, Lenovo only earn USD79, 5 million. Lenovo's total revenue far exceeded some analysts' estimates peg the figure only USD86, 1 million. Similarly, as reported by Business Review, on Thursday (02/17/2011).

Lenovo has a larger market share than its rival, Acer Inc., after receiving more orders from business people in China, the US and Europe. Most consumers want to buy a computer that runs with Windows 7 in order to replace their old systems. Besides, Lenovo also has experienced increased sales in these markets are growing like Russia and India.

"Companies have benefited from high demand in the commercial segment in the market," said Vincent Chen, an analyst from Yuanta Securities. Furthermore, he said, declining prices of components such as memory chips, will help to increase the profit of computer producers.

The company is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina was responsible for 10.4 percent of the world's PC shipments during the last quarter. In fact, last year they only recorded 8.8 percent. Internet Explorer 9 will have a do not track feature

The new Internet Explorer 9 which will soon be released will reportedly have a do not track feature. This is all in Microsoft mission to making the best internet browser. It is said that Microsoft internet explorer 9 will prevent third party advertiser for tracking internet users for behavioral marketing purposes.

The browser will have a protection lost which will allow the users of the browser to choose who they want to be protected from and who they will allow to track their activities. The users will get the list fro the browser which will track third parties who are following the user.

Unlike the already existing In Private Filtering, this browser provides ore functions and features and d is considered to be ore efficient. It is said that while in private filtering blocks third party scripting they may sometimes fail to block out certain tracking devices.

The actual details of the tracking features in the internet explorer 9 browser are yet to be known and confirmed by the company it self , it is however expected that this addition to the browser will highly reduce marketing spam’s which most internet users consider a nuisance.

It is expected that other browser developers will follow Microsoft explorers lead and develop similar programs for their browsers to spare the users fro unwanted marketing programs.

The new internet explorer will not be available for public until early next year.

This is a very important step! If you don't optimize your web pages for these keywords, you'll miss a lot of traffic!

Do not change pages for which you already have high rankings. Optimize new pages of your website for new keywords. The more pages of your website you optimize, the better.

Google Instant is not a new ranking algorithm. It is just a new way in which Google displays the search results. Some keywords will now get fewer impressions, some keywords will get more impressions.

Seems like because I let Google to format the page to better suit my mobile screen. I’m using Sony Ericsson G502. I don’t get this funny message when I surf the web using Opera Mini.

Unfortunately, I didn’t turn off the mobile viewing option for now I have forgotten which page that could make Google sends this funny message

Starting From This October, Netbooks Will Not Allowed to Use Windows XP

"As many as 81 percent netbooks sold in America are equipped with Windows 7." In April 2008 ago Microsoft announced that as of October 22, 2010, OEM manufacturers are no longer allowed to provide Windows XP Home on their new netbook.

However, Microsoft says, the move will not affect the majority of its customers. The reason is that many PC manufacturers have started to actively sell products with Windows 7 in it.

"According to the NPD research firm, as of April 2010, as many as 81 percent of netbooks that were sold in the United States is already equipped with Windows 7," said Brandon LeBlanc, Windows Communications Manager, as quoted from his official blog, on June 17, 2010.

LeBlanc also reminded, you are still using Windows XP, especially Windows XP Service Pack 2, on July 13, 2010 Microsoft will no longer support it. If you want to keep using Windows XP, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to SP3.

Microsoft itself will continue the Windows XP Service Pack 3 until next April 2014. After that, users are advised to consider switching to Windows 7 to keep them running operating systems supported by Microsoft.

Uninstall any application that is no longer needed.
Do not use the default Windows Disk Defragmenter that will defrag all of your hard disk space. Defraggler is highly recommended for this task.
If you are a Windows lover, use Windows Classic theme to get your netbook works faster. This theme can significantly reduce the use of RAM and lighter the CPU’s works.
Turn off Bluetooth, FireWire, and WiFi when they are not in use. It will give you more minutes from your battery.
Although netbook is fully able to do multitasking, but do not force it to work that way. The first reason is once again, the battery, the second is that it will make the netbook’s processor works too hard.
