Turkey Hill Ice Cream is already a great product but the folks there just went way up in my opinion. I went to their website and sent them a message to let them know how much we love their product and today an envelope full of Turkey Hill coupons arrived in the mail!!!

Imagine how happy I was to find that ShopRite has the Turkey Hill ice cream on sale 2/$5.00 next week. The kids have been bugging me for some ice cream and it's great to know that I will be able to treat them to a great brand for a great price.

There is a $10 +UP on the front of the flyer again this week. I am not sure if the reward is a month long deal and if you got it a couple of weeks ago you may not be able to do it again.

The Cover Girl cosmetics are included again so if you still have any of the $8.00 coupons from the 10/02/11 P&G insert then this would be a good time to use them to get $10.00 back.

The coupon is for face product so the Blush and Concealer work out to be free with the BOGO 1/2 off deal.

I am going to start posting this every week, I am hoping to get the post ready a little earlier next week but I want to test things out and make sure they work before I put it on here.

I love shopping in Rite Aid and enjoy working out the best way to take advantage of the +Up Rewards, Video Values and Single Check Rebates that the store offers along with the coupons that are in the Sunday papers. My Rite Aid circular arrives on a Thursday each week and to me it's a math puzzle to be solved. I would get too flustered anyway and would probably mess up my savings.

Rite Aid this Week

I have found a few great deals at Rite Aid this week. The success of my planned trip depends on the coupons that come with tomorrows paper. There seems to be a big difference regionally in the coupon previews I've seen online. The plan is to get $126.00 worth of items for around $38.00 out of pocket and get around $20.00 in +Up rewards.

This trip is going to include razors and diapers which on their own would be around $33.00 if buying at full price.

I'll post again tomorrow when I have the paper.

The General Mills insert comes this weekend which is great for Cheerios and granola bars. Most of the items in their include box tops which I will start collecting now that my daughter is in Kindergarten.

On another note. I managed to get to the gym yesterday. I am pretty sore this morning, it's been a while :)

I have usually found the Rite Aid ad scans online by now but I am not sure how reliable the ones I have seen are for my region as they have sales for wine featured and I know that my Rite Aid here in NY does not sell liquor. Hopefully my local ad will be in the mail box this afternoon and I can start planning my shopping trip.

I discovered last week that the $30 I needed to spend to earn the $10 +Up on Garnier was before the BOGO 1/2 sale was taken off. This is great news. I need to spend even less to get those +Up rewards.

I am no expert yet but I am learning and it's great to find all these savings. The lady on the register in Rite Aid last week said she thought I had the longest receipt they have ever had when all my +Up Rewards printed out, over $30 worth.

Getting Back to the Gym and Diet

The kids are heading off to school next week so it's time for mom to start spending sometime taking care of herself. It will soon be time to try putting on the jeans again and I have to admit, I'm dreading it. So before I even attempt it I am going to get serious about diet and the gym.

I am going to spend my Labor Day holiday putting together my shopping list and planning my workouts at the gym.

I am aiming to get all the groceries I need to kick things off for $100 or less. I want to try and prove that I can eat well and not break the bank.

Rite Aid Deals and match ups 9 4

I have been working out the deals I can find based on the coupons I have and the flier from Rite Aid for Sept 4 - 10.

I will try and work out the least expensive way to earn the +UP Rewards as well and other coupon and sale combos.

The most appealing thing for me on here is the $10 +UP for buying $30 of Garnier.
The items are going to be BOGO 1/2 off so that will figure into the savings too
I have 6 coupons for $1.00 off Garnier shampoo (RP 8/28), conditioner and treatment.
If the full price is $3.99 each for shampoo and conditioner
I buy 6 at the BOGO deal that's $17.97 towards the +UP and with coupons, I only spend $11.97
I need to spend another $12.03 I have 2 coupons for the Garnier hair color (I wouldn't mind a change)
That's regularly $8.49 so two of those at the BOGO price would be $12.74 and I have the 2 coupons and a $1 Video Values so I spend $9.74
Total Spent = $21.71
I get an +UP for $10.00
That's $40.92 worth of product for $11.71, a great deal!!
If you divide it up evenly each product costs just $1.46
There are other combos to this deal as there are also Garnier styling product coupons.

Free Help With Weight Loss and Fitness

I love free things and this website offers everything that some of the well known fitness and weight loss sites charge a lot of money for but they do it for free.

There is a ton of information on the site along with customized meal plans and excersize programs. There is also a great community of people on there to help and inspire anyone on their weight loss journey.

I have been a member for a while but have slipped with my program during the summer. My excuse/reason the kids are home and going to the gym is too expensive when I need to pay $6.00 a time for childcare. Working-out at home is also really difficult with a 2 year old and 4 year old running around under my feet.

There will be no excuses in a few weeks though. Both kids will be in school and preschool so I will be able to get to the gym 4 days a week and I will be keeping on top of my diet too.

I am making a promise to this blog now that I will lose 20 lbs by the end of the year.

Bad Weather

Looks like I won't be heading to Staples and Office Depot today. The storms seem to be settled in for the day and a few savings on stationary is not worth taking a 2 year old and a 4 year old out in this weather. I will be doing a lot more bargain hunting when they are in school and preschool.

I hope that the hurricane that is due to hit the northeast on Sunday won't prevent me from heading to the grocery store to pick up the paper. The P&G insert is out this week and I really want that one. Fingers crossed the really bad weather stays out in the ocean.
