Taste of Oviedo 2013 is a great local event that happens each year in the  Oviedo Mall parking lot. This is a display of what the Oviedo, FL area has to offer, live Music, local Food with a large array of food trucks, Spanish, Asian, Southern styles and desert trucks to mention a few. To end the day there is night  time fireworks display.  I was there last year and I’m planing to go back this year,  See you there.   This will take place Saturday March 9th, 2013 starting at 11 am and going until 7 pm. for more information visit TasteOfOviedo.org.

OVIEDO, Fla. (Feb. XX, 2013) —Gary Bouton, treasurer of The Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, is one of five recipients to be honored with the 2012 George W. JenkinsAward from Publix Super Markets. The prestigious award, named for Publix’s late founder, is the company’s highest honor. Bouton is the store manager of the Publix located at the Tuscawilla Bend Shopping Center in Oviedo.

As a recipient of the Jenkins Award, he has demonstrated leadership skills, self-development, training and promotion of others, as well as community participation. Other award criteria include gross and net profit, sales, safety, productivity and meeting or exceeding company goals.

“We’re extremely pleased to promote Gary’s achievement,” said Cory Skeates, president of the Chamber. “Both Mr. Bouton and Publix have been wonderful supporters and assets to the Oviedo-

Winter Springs community. Their efforts are invaluable to our sustaining growth in the area.”

ATMOSPHERE: This place kind of looks like a website to me with a very geometric grey/orange theme, but it wasn’t obnoxious or even objectionable, and Leo found it relaxing. I found it to be upper-end relaxed tapas style dining and definitely a place where you appreciate the culture of your food. It’s chopsticks preferred as forks aren’t on the table and spices are not held back in the dishes.

PRODUCT: Nearly every dish we had was awesome, amazing curry, impressive roti, succulent pork, and tender noodles. Unfortunately, the newest addition to the menu, crème brulee, still has some kinks to be worked out. All in all, great food.

PRICE: We paid 35.00 + tip for five tapas, dessert, and two drinks.

HOSPITALITY: Cordial, informative, and efficient our waitress definitely made us feel welcomed and appreciated as customers. The manager even stopped by multiple tables to ask about the food and service, adding very professional touch to our dinner.
