Opening times

Thursday, 18:00 - 22:00 for wargaming
Saturday, 13:00 - 19:300 for role playing
Sunday, 13:00 - 19:30 for wargaming & role playing

Location

The club premises are right in the middle of Liverpool on the edge of the shopping centre just off Dale Street and very close to Moorfields Merseyrail station.
Unfortunately, many new members and visitors have said the club is hard to find on your first visit.

General

The LWA meets in the centre of Liverpool in large, open plan, ground floor premises.
Large, or complex, games can be left in place and played over a number of days.
Storage space for member's figures and scenery.

Table space

Can be booked in advance.
One permanent 6' by 4' and two permanent 8' by 4' tables ideal for DBx etc.
Seven moveable 6' by 4' tables ideal for staging those larger games.
Large 8' by 8' table reserved for role playing.

Scenery

Club scenery available for use of all members
Large selection of commercial and club built 6mm scenery.
Numerous trees, roads, rivers and period buildings for 15mm games.
Selection of modern buildings for 25/28mm games.

Figures & Games

A large selection of 15mm "club" figures available for general use by all members and guests.
There is a large collection of club and member's board games.

Other Facilities

Kitchen area.
Fridge.
Microwave.
Crockery and kettle.
Toilets.

The Liverpool Wargames Association (LWA) is a forty strong group interested in military history and wargaming of all kinds. We aim to further public interest in history by providing facilities for wargaming and educational activities for schools and the general public.

We have our own large, and permanent, premises in Liverpool city centre offering unrivalled facilities for wargaming and role playing. At the LWA wargaming takes many forms. The most common is played with model soldiers, tanks, ships or aircraft. Board games and role playing games are also very popular.

The scale of the games vary from large battles, with corps and divisions, through skirmish games, with squads and sections, to role playing games based on individual characters.
