Yesterday I attended the ATL launch of the Testing Makes Us Stronger campaign. Sponsored by the CDC and Fulton County Dept. of Health and Wellness, this public health initiative targets African American gay/sgl/bisexual men encouraging them to get tested for HIV. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star Dwight Eubanks was on hand to help launch the festivities. While many of you contact me on all sides of the HIV/AIDS issue, I want to be clear that my standpoint is that I want everyone to make clear, informed decisions for their personal health. Furthermore, I wish to eliminate any stigma in our community surrounding negativity in ANY form! That being said, please enjoy and share this video! I love you!

For years, the hottest Friday night party for the African American LGBT community in Chicago has been hosted by one of the city's leading promoters, The Rails Marketing Group. I experienced their event this past Friday night at Club Circuit, in the heart of Chicago's "BoysTown." Despite the chilly temps and light snow, the kids still packed the place out. MLK weekend in ATL is definitely one of the hottest party weekends of the year. Despite the cool temperatures, many flock from all over to partake in the festivities. Sunday evening was no exception as "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"s Kandi hosted a party sponsored by Xtreme Entertainment/The Lions Den and RockStars Production. I had a chance to meet her backstage! She was very gracious, answering questions, posing for pics and enjoying her time with the boyz! Happy New Year!

The "Pillow Talk" episode posted during the holidays featuring model Zeric continues to garner heated debate. When I posted the video I figured some might object to his views on why he has chosen temporarily to not date black and/or latino me...but I had no idea it would spark such an outrage among some. While Zeric was not invited to Pillow Talk so that he could be attacked personally, I'm glad the collective conversation addresses some deep seated pain. You guys responded via YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Blogger as well as my personal inbox with your assessment of the comments! The dialogue must continue!

I spoke with many of you and am grateful for those who weighed in on the topic. The response video featuring many of your viewpoints is now available. Last night I attended the annual G.M.A.D. holiday party in Harlem. Invited by my good friends Dwight Allen Oneal & Dane Joseph of the show, "Drama Queenz The Series," I made the trek uptown to this festive event. Celebrating 24 years of service, GMAD continues to be a leading force in NYC's LGBT community. It was great to see such a great turn out and I'm honored I was able to attend. Kevin Walton's Annual Holiday Party/Toy Drive!

My good friend Kevin Walton hosts a huge holiday party each year. This year hundreds flocked to his home for a standing room only event. Kevin's parties are more than just a place where beautiful men (mostly) converge, but it is actually a community service based event. Each year Kevin asks guests to bring an unwrapped children's toy which he donates to Childkind, an Atlanta based organization for empowering families caring fro children with special needs. Childkind specifically targets the LGBT community for foster parenting, understanding that our resources, skills and love are just as good as anyone else.

Thank you to all the men and women who came out to support. The crowd was incredible! Kevin is an outstanding example of how giving back blesses you more than those you are helping. Thank you Kevin for always standing in your light!

In the spirit of giving, Mr. Wayne requested guests to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to a locate charity. It is always so rewarding to see young people in the community making their own way. Prop 8- Gay Marriage Ban in California Overturned???

The Huffington Post reports that the same sex marriage ban in California is overturned. Wow. Not that I have any plans to get anywhere near an alter...LOL...but this is huge in the equal rights quest for all people in this country.
Still awaiting further verification on this story's accuracy.

Today is Wold AIDS Day and a great time to get tested for HIV as well as other STD's. While there is much work still to do to destroy the stigma surrounding HIV, medication and education is far more effective than it once was. Take a moment to locate a testing facility near you. If you are negative, learn how to stay that way. If you are positive, learn how to live healthily. There are still far too many of our young people becoming infected unnecessarily.
