I’ll do it all when I get back home.  There are some cool people here and I’m having a blast getting to know everyone, networking, and getting to see who the real snooty bloggers are;)

If you wanna see some terrible pictures of me…..go to Jennster’s album and have a look.  I’m the only fat girl so I’m easy to spot.    Don’t know the Jennster???  OH MA GOD…..she’s got a big bootie and loves to shake it and I know this because she’s not attending the conference, only the parties;)

Some of the sessions are boring.  Some have been okay.   Alot of it stuff I already know but the networking alone is worth the trip!!!

Quickie Time!

You had to know that I was going to be partial to the Ride’em Cowboy line.  It’s suits my little cowpoke to a T!  The colors are fun and vibrant and the first thing Truett said was, “HORSE!”.  :)  You can get the clock personalized, or not but I totally recommend it because the litle ones love that sort of stuff.  Little man actually has the comforter and sheets that match this design so getting the clock will be making his room more complete.

If you’ve never visited the Olive Kids website, then you are missing out on some fun decor that is sure to bring a smile to you and your child’s face.  From flowery girl decor to pirates, you’re sure to find something that any child would love.  And remember, you get what you pay for.   While Olive Kid’s prices maybe be slighty higher than that other store, it also arrives in top quality and will last a lifetime!

Oh, and check this out, removable chalk boards!!!  How cool is that!  Now you can encourage your kiddo to write on the walls (chalkboard of course).

I think that’s the coolest idea.  You get 4- 9×12 panels with chalk!  Gosh, I wish I was a kid again…I would totally be begging mom for this:)

Yeehaw! Ride’em Cowboy

I bought new clothes, got my nails & toes done, crammed all my crap into a large suitcase.  I’m carrying my laptop with me along with my new Dooney hangbag that my parents bought the other day.  I know, they’re awesome!

So what’s my schedule looking like for Blogher 2008 you ask?? Not that you really care but I’m gonna tell you anyways;)

Thursday

Arrive at 10:55am.  Head down to claim luggage and wait for Lawyer Mama so we can either split a cab or shuttle together.  Go rest, relax, and/or shop until around 3:00pm.  I’ll start getting ready for the fun festivities and wait for Elizabeth to arrive.  From 5-8pm, I’ll be attending the Kirtsy/Alltop party.  At 8:00pm, we’ll head to the Rye bar for the Experience Project party.  Then at 9:30, it’s back to the hotel for the People’s party!!!  Will I get to eat and sleep???

Friday

Eat breakfast.  Head to the conference stuff.  Have lunch with Rocco DiSpirito:)  More conference.  Beauty Makeover and Laptop Makeover.  More conference.  Eat hopefully.  Get dressed to go to the Ruby Skye:)  Oh yeah!

Saturday

Breakfast. Conference, lunch, conference. more spa stuff. Kick ass party at Macy’s!!!! WOOHOO:)

So, I’ll try to post some pictures and stuff but the best way to see pictures is watch my flickr and see if I put any up there!!!

I’ll miss you all!!!!!!

Wanna Win Some Fancy Knives?

The dog, Killer.  Not to original but fitting none the less.  My F-n-L bought him at a flea market along with some chickens, guineas, and turkey.  Oh, he was a cute little pup for about 3 minutes until we put him in the cage with all the chickens and turkey.  He left the chickens alone but one little turkey was not so fortunate.  Once he grabbed a holt of that thing, he was NOT letting go.  My husband had to crawl in that 5ft cage and drag that pup out.  Sad to say, turkey did not make it and that’s how the pup got his name.

Thank you all for being so supportive about my mistaken pregnancy.  I really do appreciate it! Not it’s time to go take some Phentermine so that doesn’t happen again.

2 Generations and a Dog

What should I have done? Should I have went along with it and said, “Oh, I’m about 7mths along.”. Or should I have said, “Zero freakin’ months lady!”. This has happened before so I should be used to it but I’m not.

The bad thing is, all the clothes today look like maternity shirts. With part of it cupping your boobs and the rest flowing as if I really were pregnant. I couldn’t even find a dang shirt that was normal. So it’s either be in style and look pregnant or look like crap and fat.

A word to the old lady behind the counter and any of you other employees….

If you see a fat girl shopping in the plus size section, think twice before you ask her if she’s pregnant or not!

Since I’m such a fan of personalized gifts, next time I’ll just get a shirt that says, “No, I’m not pregnant, just fat” so noone will mistake me for being pregnant.

No, I’m not pregnant, just fat!

I’m no professional by any means but here are a couple of tips that might help when you’re trying to get the look.

• Squat down low. This give the illusion of a big horse.
• Make the lean/stretch forward. See his hind legs in the first picture?  They are stretched back like he’s leaning forward, not taking a step.  This makes them look like they’re strutting:)
• Ears forward. Unless you’re trying to catch some sort of personality, you want the ears forward.  Not always easy to get the stance and the ears but I did alright I guess.
• Slight pivot, head turn. Okay, so that’s not exactly a technical turn but hey, I’m no photographer!  You almost want the horse to look like he’s looking at his butt but not all the way…does that make sense?  NO?  Too bad ’cause I can’t explain it any better.

Where did I learn these tips?  From a former employer, George Beggs of Beggs Cattle Company.  He always sold horses for thousands of dollars to two big auctions.  The Remuda sale and the big Ft. Worth sale. My husband would train the horses, I would groom them, and he would take their picture for the catalog.  It was fun.  I miss it.

Oh, and we did not groom this horse by the way:)  We just needed some quick shots!

Now go have fun and snap away.  I’m taking a break to play the playstation 3 with my son!

Wordless Thursday-Boys Rule ‘Cause They’re Cool

Anyways, when you don’t graduate from high school, you always feel unworthy or well….stupid when setting out to accomplish something bigger than you may or may not be ready for.  Most people don’t even try but not me.  I try hard because I want to be successful for me; but mostly for my parents.   I’m sure you can only imagine how they felt when I quit school, how humilated they were, how ashamed they may have felt.  I think about it all the time and they are 2 big pieces of motivation that drives me reach for success.  So that they can be proud.

Okay, I’m done here.  Off to watch a little TV.  You know, my niece has one of those tv mounts.  I’m thinking that would be handy to keep little man’s hands off!
