Warning: Flu Shots Are Coming to Your Church:

“As trusted messengers, you’re able to spread messages and help get people vaccinated.”

I don't want to debate the merits or lack of with regard to flu vaccine. I believe getting the vaccine is a personal decision.

I don't know if this will actually become a reality or not, however it's very disturbing. The thought that our government would leverage our places of worship, is troubling.

I'm a full believer in keeping government at arms length. Once we allow them to enter our facilities under the "flag" of community benefit, we're in trouble. They will use this door to "move in" and take advantage and ultimately control.

You can dismiss this as an over reaction on my part and that's your right, however think about this on a broader scale. Forget the flu vaccine platform and consider other "reasons" that can be "Validated" for the "Public GOOD".

Christ Alone Journey

I want to invite you to my new blog "Christ Alone Journey". While I'm still referring to devotionals that I read and commenting on the same, I will be adding posts from my personal study. I believe this blog served it's purpose initially as I've started this process, however the title doesn't really fit my goals.

My goal is to challenge, encourage and motivate others in their walk with Christ. I believe that we need input from multiple sources in our journey, however we MUST keep our eyes FIXED on JESUS CHRIST. To this end I have been able to establish "Christ Alone Journey".

I would be honored to have you follow my new blog. More importantly, I seek your input in the way of comments to my blogs. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another". ~Proverbs 27:17(NIV). We each need to guidance of the Holy Spirit as we journey through this life and we should also seek solid input from Christians who are seeking to grow in God's grace.

I'll be deleting this specific blog at the end of the year. I'm sure you've noticed already the lack of posts to this site already and this has been the result of both my concentration on the new site and time constraints.

I would love for you to join my new site and follow me there. Christ Alone Journey is where you'll find challenges, encouragement and motivation to stay close to our Father and seek His will and way for your journey here.

God loved us, and to prove it to us became human in order to become our brother in the flesh. He became poor, the poorest of the poor, in order to be able to include us all as his brothers (and sisters). He became a little child in order to be like children, even born, children from the slums. God has loved us and has given all that he is and has. The Father gave the Son, the Son gave His very self, the Holy Spirit became our habitual sanctifier.... How grateful I should be to this kind Savior!

How grateful indeed?! This is titled "what cost" today because, when I read the above quote that IS the question that came to mind. Over and over again, the reality of how God has spared nothing to return us to Himself. He created us for a personal relationship with Himself and that was broken by selfish desire.

God has never changed in His desire for a personal relationship with each and every soul He's created since the beginning of time. While I believe that God's heart breaks with every soul lost for eternity, I believe greater joy is expressed in the salvation of each soul. The bible tells us that, "Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." ~Luke 15:7

Don't we reach a whole different level of contentment, pleasure or satisfaction when difficult things are accomplished? When goals are met and greater works and opportunities lay ahead, all things become better and greater!

God's word also tells us that, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." ~Ephesian 2:10 and "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.~Philippians 1:6

This journey has more to do with God's desire to set right everything that went wrong. We can never be equal to God. We can only because HE has made a way through Jesus Christ, be returned to a relationship with God that was intended from the beginning! This journey is about allowing God to mold us into the image of Christ and in the process expose God's light to a dark, desperate and lost world.

Having given everything with the complete foreknowledge that so many would reject HIS provision and over of restoration, God has still given HIS all and HIS Best. So, should we give no less? Should we even think of the cost to ourselves? OR, should we throw our everything into being committed, sold out and of use to God for God's purposes alone?!

As always, the choice is ours. God only asks that we accept, obey and trust in HIM!

I once heard a pastor say, "I love taking from the world and using it for God". Steve Jobs' position on faith and religion are not my topic of discussion today. I do find great value in the article I'm sharing on this blog today.

Just as any man or woman can live by the principles of the bible and still spend eternity in hell, separated from God. You can employ the principles lived by Steve Jobs in business and not own your own business. They can still help you succeed in life.

"Do what you love." - I've heard it said over and over again, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life". Spend time loving God and choosing to do those things that draw you near to Him and you'll find yourself wanting to do those things that honor Him. Unlike our relationship with our spouse, we can't get things to show how we fill. All we can do is live out our love for Christ by allowing God to form us into His image. Love being used by and formed into Christ's image.

Think about this point today. Allow the Holy Spirit to work this idea deeply into your spirit. Ask our Father to help you grab ahold of HIS vision for your life. You'll be surprised to find that the thing(s) you already love to do, are in fact a huge part of what God created you to do.

I receive several emails every morning for devotions. Today I received the quotes above from one of these emails. Soul Care.

As we enter into the 2nd work day of the week, are you already feeling pressure? Was your Monday filled with demands that set the tone for a week that will seemingly require more than you feel is possible? Don't give into it, not for a moment!

Look to the source, our only source. Christ has promised us His yoke. All we have to do is accept that HE is our power and strength. Through Him we can overcome and not just overcome, we will live Christ in our jobs and communities.

Looking at the quote from DaVinici, I'm reminded that Christ would OFTEN retreat from everyone to pray. He needed as we do, the quite solitude encountered when we get alone to pray. Ever noticed that Christ was the best at leading by example? Jesus never asked His disciples to do anything He didn't first do.

Learn from Jesus, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Gentle and humble is His soul and in Him alone will we find the rest needed. Rest, renewal and recharging is all found in one singular place....Jesus Christ.

I believe you'll all agree, that we live in a "fast food society" in every aspect of life. Give it to me now, I have to have it now, and why is it taking so long... theses are the constant demands, wants and desires that we live with today. We may not personally live this way, however like myself, there are times during the day when we get a little testy about things taking too long.

We know full well that anything worth having must be earned and often the journey is of much greater value than the end result. How many times have we started out on a quest only to change our minds due to new information received in the process?

The reason our God our Father doesn't just give us everything we need or desire, isn't because He is "holding out". Often we don't need what we ask for and in fact the object we seek could or would be a detriment to our life.

In the end, there is only one thing we should recognize as our need and that is God alone. Anything else will be the icing on the cake. If we seek God's face as all we need in this life, then we will only ask for Him. We will recognize that all we've every really wanted has been right before us.

The vacancy in our soul, our deepest longing and greatest needs are all satisfied by one thing.... acceptance that we cannot and will not ever be able to meet our own needs. In the end, delays in this life will come as certainly as the sun shines on the earth. We again must choose how we live out our life today and everyday.

Choose the best and only direction. Christ and the path to eternal salvation.

The failure of Israel to enter the land of promise began in murmuring, or, as the text in Numbers literally puts it, "as it were murmured." Just a faint desire to complain and be discontented. This led on until it blossomed and ripened into rebellion and ruin. Let us give ourselves no liberty ever to doubt God or His love and faithfulness to us in everything and forever.

We can set our will against doubt just as we do against any other sin; and as we stand firm and refuse to doubt, the Holy Spirit will come to our aid and give us the faith of God and crown us with victory.

The challenge we all face daily is to keep our eyes on Christ. In doing so, we more easily see our situations as "better than" or our glass is "half full". This attitude will help us guard against murmuring and allowing the junk of life to hamper our walk and testimony for Christ.

LOVE WINS.

I saw the title for this post today on a bumper sticker. Very simple white lettering on a black background.

Yes, I had one of those moments. You know the moments in our walk with Christ where we become awestruck with a flood of images. Christ on the cross with His arms held open. Truth is we have example after example where Christ embodied the love of God in His short life here on this earth.

Verses that give us great descriptions of God's displayed love. From the beginning right through to the point where our Father kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. "Then the Lord God said, 'Behold the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever-' therefore the Lord God sent him out from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken." Genesis 3:22-23

God couldn't allow us to live forever in this condition. Separated from Himself for all eternity by our sinful flesh, this wasn't in God's plan for mankind. Tossed out because of His great love, not out of anger or as a punishment. Just shown the door so the plan of redemption could begin in earnest.

This one example sets up the beginning of centuries where God with grace, only the grace He alone can provide, shows mankind over and over again His love. The depth and breadth of which we only ever catch but a glance. Aw moments in this life.

We really only get very little pictures into God's great love. We struggle with "cast all our sins into the depths of the sea." (Micah 7:19) or "as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12) The bottom line is that has never changed and never will. His great love for us cannot and will not change.

All the way to the cross God has shared His love for mankind. The goal is the same now as it has always been. Our creator desires a relationship with us that is deeper than any we've ever know. For some, we had great relationships in this life and other haven't been so blessed. Regardless of where we stand in the previous sentence, God desires to show us love as only He can.

Seek God and you will find him! Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you - James 4:8, paraphrase.

The Nature of Degeneration | My Utmost For His Highest:

"The nature of sin is not immorality and wrongdoing, but the nature of self-realization which leads us to say, “I am my own god.” "

So, you think you're in control. You think all that takes place in your life is the result of your masterful ability to wield your will on everyone and everything around you so that your desires and plans come to pass. That's great for you.

Now, what about that empty place within you? You just knew it would be filled when you reached your goals! The trouble with your plan and "lordship" over your life is you still haven't replaced that which is lost to you. You didn't create yourself and therefore you can't meet your own desperate need.

What we need in this life is what we were created for to begin with, an intimate relationship with our creator. Adam's curse for us was this desire to be in charge and have absolute authority over our lives. This is the sin, to desire status equal to God Himself.

Throughout history, man has tried again and again to reach God, our Creator, by our own means and ability. We fail every time and yet God still loves us and has not once withdrawn HIS provision.

Christ sacrificed everything so that God's plan of redemption for mankind would be accomplished. Although man has repeatedly chosen to follow his own path. God has and still does desire that we will choose His way, that we decide His plans are best for us.

More than anything else, we need to come to the place where we know God alone is the source and God alone can and will provide for our life. Only God can fill the void in our life that we try desperately to fill with stuff.

Choose everlasting fulfillment and life in Christ. He alone can help us overcome the deep rooted desire to be "my own god". When we choose Christ we choose life.

Seeking What We Truly Need

Lord, I believe in you: increase my faith.
I trust in you: strengthen my trust.
I love you: let me love you more and more.
I am sorry for my sins: deepen my sorrow.
I worship you as my first beginning.
I long for you as my last end.
I praise you as my constant helper.

Jesus said, "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." ~John 14:13

I John 5:14, "This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."

Not only do we truly need each point in Clement's prayer, each one is asked in accordance with our Father's will. God wants us to have ever greater faith, strengthened trust, deeper love for Him and greater depth of sorrow for our sins.

As we grow in His grace, our faith is increased because we continually take steps of faith in obedience to His direction. Our trust is expanded and grows stronger because we trust and not just trust, but we are learning to trust in Him completely. God's unimaginable love for us starts to come into focus because we seek to love Him more. Sorrow for our sins... on such a deep level that only the Holy Spirit can intercede on our behalf, since we can't express the utter shame of our sorrow.

Through this journey as we ask and receive each of the points in this prayer, we see ourselves joining Clement XI. Worshiping God as our first, last and constant helper. Drawn to worship in and through the moments of this life. Thankful to be His through Christ, thankful to share our belief, thankful that even when the day is long, He is our Father and we His children.

Ask and receive, seek and find. Go ahead and believe God for He has never changed and never will. He sought us first to provide everything we need.

All we truly need..... HIM!!!

The Goal of Life

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe…”(Ephesians 1:17-19).

Knowing Christ brings the only real meaning and purpose to the human soul. Spend time today getting to know the Lord in a more intimate way. Then you will discover real meaning and purpose in life."

It's interesting how we are excited, thankful beyond description, or feel completely indebted to Christ for our salvation on the day we accept Christ as Lord and Savior. Our eyes firmly fixed on Christ or are they really?

I'm not calling into question your salvation or mine, only making a point from another direction. We know Christ has filled the void of our life, placed the stopper in the hole of our life which can't be filled with stuff. Yet, we continue to seek to find fulfillment without looking daily to our source.

When we decided to accept Christ as Lord and Savior for our life, salvation isn't the only thing we needed. We also need to seek His direction for our life, daily. As Christ is the only one who can provide us with eternal salvation. He is the only way we will find true fulfillment in this life.

Fulfilling the purposes and mission of Christ by glorifying our Father is the goal. This goal will provide us with the daily fulfillment we seek. Being used by God as the image of Christ to reach the lost, bring comfort to those in need and provide as we can to those who are without. These things glorify God and and bring fulfillment in this life.

God has blessed each of us with different abilities and gifts. We each touch lives and glorify God in ways that no other person can. Each person plays a specific role in the body of Christ and in the kingdom. Seek to do your part with your eyes firmly fixed on Christ.

Free Through Suffering

The richness of "Old English" always brings to mind heartier times. Meaning more rustic days as compared to the modern conveniences of today. Might the simpler days have been better, not really. Every person is born for their time and here's the point....

Even today, we seek the easier road. There's no doubt that mankind has always sought to make things easier, better and more efficient. If that wasn't true, we wouldn't be where we are today with technology.

Hard work produces satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. Anything EASILY gained or received is just as EASILY dismissed. We have in this devotional another example that brings home this point.

Joseph, always having the dreams of an easier life where he's in charge and set above. He never dreamed what it would take or actually be like to lead.

So the journey took what appeared to be in the opposite direction. Utter failure and maybe complete loss seemed to be his lot for life. However, God ordered the events of his life in such a fashion that he would with greater faculty lead and love.

Only through great trials, he learned how to lead with the love, compassion, and heart of God. Forgiving what appeared to be great "wrongs", because he recognized God was in every step and at every turn.

We too must choose to endure the rough, ugly, and perplexing times of this life with our eyes firmly fixed on Christ. Only through the fire will we shine and glorify our Father and His kingdom.

The Awareness of the Call | My Utmost For His Highest:

"If a man or woman is called of God, it doesn’t matter how difficult the circumstances may be. God orchestrates every force at work for His purpose in the end. If you will agree with God’s purpose, He will bring not only your conscious level but also all the deeper levels of your life, which you yourself cannot reach, into perfect harmony."

Are we running from His call and purpose for our life? As I look back on my own life, questions and comments come to mind. While I believe all have been well meaning, I suspect the same ones have been shared with others, the thought is how has it shaped my actions?

Obedience starts with the small steps. Reaching out to someone in need, sharing Christ when prompted or saying that prayer when from nowhere someone comes to mind.

Only through following through on these "little" steps will be find our way. Our way has been set before us with great care and purpose. Only by faith in Christ alone will we discover the life God has planned and in that greater wonder than we could have ever believed possible.

Surrender - Not So Much Sacrifice

In my devotional today from "At His Feet" by Chris Tiegreen, the following is quoted:

"LIBERATING SURRENDER" - "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." - Matthew 16:24

Chris talks about there are two different attitudes toward this verse. One of sacrifice and one of surrender.

He makes the point, and I fully agree, we must get past the "pain" of sacrifice and realize the "Liberating Surrender" that comes in following Christ.

I wish time allowed me to just reprint the entire devotion here, however I can't. Let me leave you with my closing thought and then another quote:

Father, help me to embrace the complete denial of self so that I may fully embrace all of You with complete joy!

Doors present opportunities... One door requires of us complete faith as we have ZERO control over the journey. The other door, is the opportunity as we would see our journey and provides us with the illusion of control....

Would you or I, will we choose the door of complete surrender and experience the fullness of G-d and HIS will that takes our life to levels beyond expectation?

Fullness of life, life more abundant, lightness of yoke and burden's of greater ease! These are what Christ promised and they wait for us. We also know that the best things are those things that have been greatly tested, so there will be trials and tribulation in the journey.

What a journey it will be!!! Full of Christ and life beyond measure. Life that satisfies beyond anything dreamed! This is what waits for us in HIM!

Drink the Cup

"Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?" (John 18:`11)

Straight forward question, asked in different ways by so many since the fall of man. Here, finally Christ is showing this need for man to give way to God's will and way. As noted in the devotion for today, to "Drink the Cup" is the greatest act of faith and the greatest work we do here.

Exercising faith in all the steps of life, especially through tough times, heartache, oppression, and times of confusion are greater than everything else we do. We must during these difficult times and days, reach deep within to hang onto our faith. This is when we yield to the Master's hand, to whatever tool He is using in our life.

Although difficult and often a mystery to us during these times, this is when we grow in grace. God's grace is sufficient,just ask Job or Paul. I could list example after example, however the point is this. Without pressure, there is no endurance. Without the winds of trouble, there is no growth. Without the silence of "unanswered prayers", there is no longing of presence. Without the daily strife of this life, there is no need for our Savior.

We have a desperate need and that need is Christ! The longing in the pit of our soul is for God and placed there by HIM. Job said, "shall I not accept the good with the bad?" Without difficulty, would the sweeter times and days be sweet? The oak grows stronger by the winds. Pebbles on the beach are made smooth by the relentless crashing of the waves. All of the finest, greatest and most beautiful things in our life come through pressure and trials.

Welcome today, the tool in the Master's hand. He has a plan that is greater than all our dreams.

The Overshadowing of God’s Personal Deliverance | My Utmost For His Highest:

"If you try to guard it yourself, you remove yourself from My deliverance.” Even the most devout among us become atheistic in this regard— we do not believe Him. We put our common sense on the throne and then attach God’s name to it. We do lean to our own understanding, instead of trusting God with all our hearts (see Proverbs 3:5-6)."

Being a good steward of what God has given us is far different than what we make it when we start hanging on to it wrongly. This is exactly what happens when the accuser get us to start thinking personally about what God entrusts us to care for. "Our" family, money, property, possessions and everything we are comes from only one source, God. As such, it is all HIS, not mine and not yours. How can we make any claim to what doesn't belong to us?

Our salvation is from God and can only be delivered by God! Although you may agree with that statement, are you really giving credit and honor to the ONE who is deserving? What "thing" are you hanging onto, claiming ownership?

Father, help us to cling to You and You alone. Respecting what we have as Yours, being entrusted with Your possessions for a time. Help us to make the best proper use of all You give us, that in the end You and only You will be glorified in our purpose. In Christ's precious name we pray.

Are You Obsessed by Something? | My Utmost For His Highest:

"If we are obsessed by God, nothing else can get into our lives— not concerns, nor tribulation, nor worries. And now we understand why our Lord so emphasized the sin of worrying. How can we dare to be so absolutely unbelieving when God totally surrounds us? To be obsessed by God is to have an effective barricade against all the assaults of the enemy."

Obsessed is a word that many today are uncomfortable with and yet it is a very accurate description of everyone and where we are today in life. We tend very easily to be focused all the time on one thing or another and yet we would say we're not obsessed.

I believe we should all seek to be totally consumed and obsessed with God. HE is passionate about us and deserves nothing less than our passion in return. Call it obsession, passion, being sold out, zealot, or radical..... it doesn't matter the word, just give it all to God in total release!

This is my desire and goal. Will you join me and see the hand of God move in our lives like never before? Not because we seek His favor or blessings, but because we seek HIM and only HIM!!!

A Very Present Help

"Why standest thou afar off, O Lord?" (Psalm 10:1.)

God is "a very present help in trouble." But He permits trouble to pursue us, as though He were indifferent to its overwhelming pressure, that we may be brought to the end of ourselves, and led to discover the treasure of darkness, the unmeasurable gains of tribulation. We may be sure that He who permits the suffering is with us in it. It may be that we shall see Him only when the trial is passing; but we must dare to believe that He never leaves the crucible. Our eyes are holden; and we cannot behold Him whom our soul loveth. It is dark--the bandages blind us so that we cannot see the form of our High Priest; but He is there, deeply touched. Let us not rely on feeling, but on faith in His unswerving fidelity; and though we see Him not, let us talk to Him. Directly we begin to speak to Jesus, as being literally present, though His presence is veiled, there comes an answering voice which shows that He is in the shadow, keeping watch upon His own. Your Father is as near when you journey through the dark tunnel as when under the open heaven!

Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost For His Highest": May 23rd.:

"Jesus sums up common-sense carefulness in a disciple as infidelity. If we have received the Spirit of God, He will press through and say - Now where does God come in in this relationship, in this mapped out holiday, in these new books? He always presses the point until we learn to make Him our first consideration. Whenever we put other things first, there is confusion"

The place where we enter into trouble is opening the door to worry. I don't believe Chamber means we shouldn't make plans for today or tomorrow. Only that these plans first should be made as the result of seeking God's plan and direction for our life. Once we've done this and we are confident that the direction is of God, now we must leave this to God. Casting our cares for the direction on Him and to follow in complete faith.

Read Oswald's devotion and see if you agree with my conclusion.

My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers:

"God does not keep His child immune from trouble; He promises, “I will be with him in trouble . . .” (Psalm 91:15). It doesn't matter how real or intense the adversities may be; nothing can ever separate him from his relationship to God. “In all these things we are more than conquerors . . .” (Romans 8:37)."

Keeping our eyes on the prize is difficult when things are a little bumpy for some and more so when it seems that "the wheels are coming off" for others. I fall into the first group. When I know without a doubt the fires of trial and tribulation are heating up, I'm all in!

When I've no doubt my experience is the result of spiritual warfare, I'm at the greatest peace and looking to Christ and my Father for the answers and the ultimate solution. I never doubt He will provide and He receives all the glory.

My weakness and short comings are the result of the day to day "minor" stuff, you know life. Just yesterday, my wife's car was having issues and she seemed to me to be coming apart with it. Instead of immediately looking to the cross and laying the whole issue there, I went into the "solution mode" and the "you're making too big a deal out of this mode".

After giving her direction and then waiting for her to arrive so I could investigate, God spoke..... I admit, conviction isn't always pleasant, it IS always right. Apologies and confessions are good and right. Now, the work.

Trusting God in the little things and in all things small and great, this is our work. Maybe you're like me and it's the smaller troubles of life that derail your walk, even for a moment. Or maybe it's the crisis.

Either case, the answer is the same. Our God is big enough for all of what life has to offer. He stands ready to provide everything, great and small we need. Are we ready to "let go and let God"?

He promises to never leave or forsake us. He sees the beginning from the end. He knows you and I better than we'll ever know ourselves. So, be confident that our needs are already met and that the trials will come and go. His purpose IS to complete HIS work and in that, we will become like Christ.

Take the Initiative | My Utmost For His Highest:

"If you hesitate when God tells you to do something, you are being careless, spurning the grace in which you stand. Take the initiative yourself, make a decision of your will right now, and make it impossible to go back."

Be committed, be certain and go where HE leads. This takes practice, heeding God's direction. It starts with small steps and leads to bigger steps. God doesn't force us to step in His ways or on His path. He will show us the way and then we must act. Growth is an "on purpose" activity.

Don't stand still and expect our Father to just give to you. We are in a relationship with The Most High, our Father and Creator of all we see and those things which we do not and cannot see. This relationship more than any other requires work on our part. There's no "free lunch" on this path.

God's gift of salvation requires us to reach out and receive the gift. So too does our growth require our action, our steps of faith. God promises to complete His work and that we are that workmanship. Our part is the willing piece of the whole process and this is our work.

Being created with free will and having fallen from grace, means we now must work at this relationship. Controlling my self will, my self desires and all independence within me...this is the work.

As God's child, I've chosen Him! His path for me, His will for me and His way for my life. Praise God for the choice, now we/I must roll up our sleeves and surrender daily and moment by moment to all the HE wants to work in me for HIS glory and honor!!!

It is the road less traveled and the way is narrow. How great is the reward?! Unmistakable and without rival. God is the prize and yet we will benefit for all eternity in HIS presence when we choose HIM and HIM alone!!!

Liberty and the Standards of Jesus | My Utmost For His Highest:

"Don’t get impatient with others. Remember how God dealt with you— with patience and with gentleness. But never water down the truth of God. Let it have its way and never apologize for it. Jesus said, “Go . . . and make disciples. . .” (Matthew 28:19), not, “Make converts to your own thoughts and opinions.”"

Just this past weekend I was reminded to be a fruit bearer, not a producer. God is in the production business and we're called to bear His fruit. Bearing our burdens together, joy and struggles by coming along side each other as Christ walks with us in this life.

We are HIS workmanship, called to be who HE created us to be in HIS plan. When we allow the Master to produce in our life that which HE created us to be and do, then we are fit to bear HIS fruit in our life.

God hasn't called us to produce anything. He has called us to a relationship that is intimate and right with Him. When we enter this place, this holy place of agreement with HIM and HIS plan for our life. Now we glorify HIM, now we shine HIS light and now the lost are drawn to HIM!

God waits for us to yield to Him, His plan and purpose. When we do, HE will work in us so that we will bear HIS fruit. Now, we will see exactly how HIS yoke is easy and HIS burden is light. While Christ was healing the sick, casting out demons, and preaching the good news, HE was building relationships and providing the example we need for our relationship with HIM and one another and with the lost. Compassion and love, not rigidity and strife.

The Patience To Wait for the Vision | My Utmost For His Highest:

"Having the vision of God is the source of patience because it gives us God’s true and proper inspiration. Moses endured, not because of his devotion to his principles of what was right, nor because of his sense of duty to God, but because he had a vision of God. “. . . he endured as seeing Him who is invisible” (Hebrews 11:27)."

I confess, and I suspect you might with me, tracing the source of my impatience is easily done.... I simply haven't had a vision of God. Sad commentary, yet true. How often I've steamed ahead "believing" my purposes lined up with His. The truth has been just the opposite. You might ask how I could know this is true. Simple, God's vision endures!

In this devotion Moses is the example. We have many others; Abraham, David, Daniel, Paul, Peter and the greatest of these... Jesus our Savior!!! Except for Christ, all of our examples may have stumbled in their journey, BUT they never lost sight of God or the vision HE gave them!

We must seek God's vision, purpose for our life and catch that vision and then hang on! When we embrace God's plan for our life, His provision will be there and we will be witness to His glory like never before.
