... Y es en la "terraza" de mi edificio! que no es lo más bonito pero es simple, tengo la vista de los techos de edificios, y mucha luz natural, que es lo màs me gusta. Se acuerdan que hace poco tuve un photoshoot de bloggers (siii lo he mencionado mil veces), bueno, esto fue lo que me puse. El top de Devendra que corté, me lo puse con un top mostaza abajo para no andar mostrando ropa interior - no que me importe, sino que iba a ir a trabajar con esto - y me llené de accesorios para hacer el look un poco más elaborado. Algo que siempre me pasa, creo que soy la más cool del mundo, hasta que me veo en un espejo y me doy cuenta que el top se me corrió a la barriga y ando enseñando todo, otras veces también les he contado historias así, pero es TODO el tiempo!

The DIY Devendra Banhart cropped tee (not that i made the top, but i cut the sleeves off) worn over a small mustard top that covered my bra - not that i care about showing it, but i went to work wearing this - and i added a lot of accesories to top it up a notch. Of course, i am Andre, the girl who think is strutting her stuff in the coolest way and when i check myself in the mirror find that the mustard top is below my bra and i'm showing my beautiful bra, NOT!

Estos leggings tienen 4 años aproximadamente; los compré en Zara, cuando Zara era sólo una tienda a la que amaba ir (todavía la amo) en un mall de Caracas, pero las dejé de usar porque no se por qué se me hizo la idea de que las piernas se me veían como barquillas (cucuruchos para las argentinas), debe ser porque mi hermano me decía "cono legs" (ahí tienen haters, material como para 100 años!), y le agarré idea a las medias, así que las guardé, las usaba muy pocas veces. Hoy ya superé ser cono legs!, hoy no me importa, me gustan mis piernas así ;)

These leggings are from about 4 years approximately, I got them in Zara, when Zara was just one store at a mall in Caracas that I used to go every time I was hanging out in the city, but I stopped wearing them because I felt like they gave me inverse-triangle-legs, in fact, my brother used to call me "cone legs" - there you go haters, have fun with all this info! - so even though they're super comfy, I put them on a side and wore them from time to time. Now, I don't care being cone-legs-Andreina, i actually love my legs now!

¿Pero es bueno variar no? Me decidí a salir a un bar con esto puesto y todo por el pelo: me gustó tanto como quedó después de las fotos de bloggers que quise salir en la noche sólo para mostrar mi momentáneo pero maravilloso cabello. No me lo quería tocar, me sentía Lana del Rey o mejor dicho, Kristen Wiig imitando a Lana del Rey, me metí en el personaje y no me quité el pelo de la cara hasta que me acosté a dormir.

Les iba a hablar de la ropa pero no tiene mucha historia, lo que sí les puedo decir es que las dos cosas, body y blazer, las usé hace muy poco(post del blazer más abajo, y click AQUI para ver el otro post con el body) y de formas muy distintas a este look que les muestro hoy; yo soy como ustedes, una mujer sin mucho presupuesto que se quiere comprar todo, pero usa lo que tiene de distintas formas para que nadie se de cuenta.(¿así son ustedes también no?)

But it's nice to change once in a while isn't it? i went out one of these nights and only because of my hair: i loved it so much after the blogger photoshoot i had to show it off! i didn't even want to touch it, i felt like Lana del Rey, or even better, like Kristen Wiig impersonating Lana del Rey, so i became the character, and didn't take my hair of my face until i went to sleep.

Yo sé que estamos en mucho calor hoy, pero estas fotos son de la semana pasada cuando conseguimos que refrescara un poco la ciudad. Tenía ganas de ponerme los pantalones azules otra vez, pero les tengo idea porque siento que de pronto voy a andar con camel toe por ahí jajaja. (AQUI les dejo una referencia para que tengan idea). Así que los estoy usando con tops que sean lo suficientemente largos, y como no quería usar algo tan sencillo, me puse el blazer y la Oh!nena (click en el nombre si no las conocen). Ando en una onda más divertida también, quiero saltar y hacer muecas en las fotos, creo que es por el mismo tema de que no soy modelo! en estos días hicimos un photoshoot con varias bloggers (ya verán más de esto) y el fotógrafo me decía: "mírame con ojos desafiantes" y para mi era como escuchar a Tyra diciendo "You have to smize!" eso es imposible! yo soy blogger no modelo! jajaja pero creo que salieron bien, luego les enseño!

I know we're on a stroke of heat here in Buenos Aires, but this pics are from last week when it got cooler, so i felt like wearing my cobalt blue jeans again, but now i'm getting the idea that i gives me the camel toe down there hahahah, so i'm wearing them with long tops, but to make it less simple i added the blazer and the Oh!nena headwear (click on the name to check their awesome site). I'm feeling like being more fun on my pics for a while, like jumping and making faces, don't you? (the bloggers out there); last week a few bloggers had a photoshoot and the photographer kept telling me to give him "defiant eyes", and all i could think was about Tyra saying "you have to smize!"..that's impossible! i'm a blogger i'm not a model!!

Top: Complot, Falda/Skirt: Forever 21, Spadrilles: Bershka. No todo el tiempo jajaja, pero como ya no tengo que caminar tanto para tomar el colectivo, puedo usar tacones, woohoo! así que aproveché que estamos en verano, me puse estas sandalias color coral, y dejé el resto del look en colores más tranquilos, pero para no hacerlo aburrido le hice el nudo al top. Si revisan este blog constantemente, deben haber notado que este franelón y otro igual pero color beige me los pongo con todo pero de distintas formas, he ahí la maravilla de los básicos ;) Not all the time haha, but since i don't have to walk as much as i used to to go to work, i can wear heels, woohoo! so i didn't waste the opportunity to wear this coral spadrilles, and i kept the look in low profile colors, but to add a little touch to the outfit, i tied a knot on the top. If you check this blog constantly you already know i wear this grey blouse and the same one in beige all the time, but i always try to wear it differently, that is the wonder of basics ;)

Hace unas semanas de sol inclemente, recordé que existía este sombrero, pero tenía tanto tiempo sin ponermelo que me sentía rara usándolo otra vez. Lo que había olvidado es que es una maravilla para los días de sol, y decidí vestirme partiendo primero del sombrero - imaginenme (o mejor no) en ropa interior con el sombrero en la cabeza viendo con que se veía bien - y al final me fui por este look cómodo, y super fashion blogger jajaja. Me encantó!

A few weeks ago summer was on its worst, and i remembered my hat, but had so long stored that i felt weird wearing it again. What i forgot was that the hat does wonders protecting you from the sun, so i got dress starting from the top, aka the floppy hat. So imagine me - or better not - in undies wearing it, and trying on stuff until i find this that was really comfy and supper fashion blogger haha. i loved it!

Siempre hay un día a la semana que no me quiero vestir, que ponerme accesorios me fastidia y que pensar en alguna combinación me da flojera: ese día me visto de negro. Ya otra vez les mostré esto mismo, pero con otras prendas, porque era primavera y el clima me lo permitía. Esta vez para no hacerlo tan plano le agregué estos lentes y las sandalias como accesorios, en colores claros así se veía más veraniego. No tiene nada de especial el look, pero me pareció que era algo simple y bonito. There's always a day when i don't feel like dressing up, let alone wear accesories or think about matching clothes: that day i wear black. Once i wore the same, but had also a red blazer and converse, and now i didn't add any more garments and opt for this flatforms and sunglasses, all in soft colors to make it more summery. It's a simple look, but pretty still (to me)

Vestido/Dress y Oxfors: Complot Argentina, Cartera / Purse: Cacharel

Aunque usar medias en este calor es masoquismo, no quería andar en sandalias, así que me fui por una de mis formas favoritas de usar estos oxfords viejitos: con medias cortas. Le das un toque agresivo al vestido y a la vez no pierdes feminidad, me encanta!

Even though wearing socks on summer is almost suicidal, i didn't feel like wearing sandals, so i went for it and put on my black socks with the old pair of oxfords, which is actually one of my fave things to wear. I would use this style every day if i could, you look a bit punk without losing the femininity, love it!

Hace poco comencé un nuevo trabajo, y esto fue lo que me puse para ese primer día. Las que viven en Buenos Aires lo saben, pero las que están afuera no: andar en esta ciudad con tacones es casi imposible, torturas tus pies con todo lo que caminas (igual luego de tantear mi lugar de trabajo me di cuenta que voy a poder usar tacos de vez en cuando). Así que quise ir arreglada y ponerme estos zapatos nuevos puntiagudos comprados en Uruguay, pero..taran!!! los zapatos eran tan malos que el día que los estrené perdieron el color azul en varias partes. Así que niñas no todo lo barato es maravilloso, aprendí la lección jajaja.

Igual me encantó usarlos con un pantalón del mismo color, y no quise añadirle más color, digamos que me fui sobria, o esto es sobrio para como me visto yo. Segura que muchas también han sufrido cuando estrenan unos zapatos, creo que el truco está en no estrenarlos un día importante.

I recently started a new job, and this is what i wore for that day, the first mistake i made, was to wear this brand new pointy flats the very first day of work, why? because most of the time when you wear new shoes the chances are you are not quite acquainted to them so they end up hurting your feet. Not only that happened to me, but also the flats were so cheap the color started to peel off by the time we hit noon. So lesson learned ladies! Not everything on sale is wonderful! hahaha.

Still i loved wearing them with matching pants, and i choose not to add any more color, it was enough with that one only - it's a sober look or at least for me - i bet some of you have gone thru the same when you wear shoes for the first time, the trick is not to wear them on a huge day.

Hay ropa que quisiera tener para siempre, y por para siempre quiero decir tener 88 años y seguir usandola. Es el caso de este vestido, lo compré en el 2008 en Zara de Bogotá cuando me enamoré perdidamente del detalle de la espalda, y lo he usado tanto (son 4 años ya), que me parece que ha llegado la hora de despedirnos, y no porque quiera, sino porque ya se ve viejito y no puedo usarlo para ocasiones especiales como siempre hacía. No será lo mismo sin ti, vestido.

This dress is one of those cases, i fell in love with the back detail in 2008 at Zara Bogotá, and have worn it so much, i have to let it go now (it's been 4 years!), because i wore it out and i can't wear it to special occasions anymore. It won't be the same without you, my lovely dress.

Uruguay

Uruguay tiene su encanto. Cuando llegamos Montevideo no me pareció tan linda pero a medida que la iba conociendo me fue gustando más, luego fuimos un día a Punta del Este y me terminé de enamorar. Quiero volver más días y caminar mejor la ciudad, pero fue un viaje corto y no pude recorrerlo todo, igual lo disfruté bastante, tenía un año y medio sin irme de vacaciones y estos 3 días se sintieron como 1 mes :). Ahora a volver a la ciudad y a empezar nuevos proyectos, que se vienen varios ;)

Uruguay is a charming country. When we arrived to Montevideo i have to say the city felt a little disappointing but as soon as i went to downtown i liked it a whole lot more. I wish i would have stayed a little longer but still those 4 days where enough to feel brand new again in this city and get back on track
With new projects this year, some of them starting very soon ;)

La semana pasada fuimos a la expo (una vez más) de Carlos Cruz Diez, para los que no lo conocen es un artista venezolano que encaminó sus trabajos al color y todo lo que se puede lograr con él, y es considerado uno de los genios del opt art. En fin, en este post quise mostrar lo que tenía puesto pero es más lindo mostrar una parte de su trabajo, y aunque no se podían tomar fotos en algunos lugares, con estas fotos espero que tengan una idea de lo increíble que esta exposición.

En cuanto al look lo que tengo de flores es un body, pero debajo de él me puse una franelilla negra porque no quería enseñar arriba y abajo, ah! y se me olvidaba decirles - no tiene nada que ver con lo que llevaba puesto - que esta semana estaré de viaje, así que sino publico es por eso, pero trataré de postear fotos así sea de instagram, besos!

Last week i went to the Carlos Cruz Diez exposition here in Buenos Aires; for those who aren't familiarized with his work he's a Venezuelan opt artist, that always had a fixation for color. Right now his work is being shown at the MALBA, so i decided to combined both fashion and art with these pictures, so that you can see what an amazing artist he is. As for the clothes, i'm wearing a body and underneath a tank top, because i didn't want to show too much...and before i forget! i'm out of town this week so maybe i'll rest a little from the blog, or maybe i'll post some pictures from instagram, Muak!

Regalos parte II

Esta es la segunda parte de los regalos de Navidad/Cumpleaños, que no había publicado porque estaba esperando las Lita que al fin las tengo! después de luchar contra tarjetas de crédito, cupos Cadivi (que sólo los venezolanos entendemos de esto), shippings extraviados, compras fallidas las pude tener gracias a mi novio (me las regaló él) y gracias a mi amiga Martha (me las trajo). Entre mi mamá y Andresito me regalaron los parlantes del ipod, y dos amigos que me conocen muy bien me regalaron la Nylon, la cadena Claire's que es una máquina de escribir, y la Vogue Italia de Septiembre con Stella Tenant, que para mi es una relíquia con esa portada tributo a Ethel Granger.(la cintura más pequeña del mundo).

A las que puedan tener unas Jeffrey Campbell, hagan la inversión, porque los zapatos son comodísimos!, y no se cree por la plataforma, pero si pude caminar 4 cuadras larguísimas y salir ilesa, las puedo usar para todos lados. - Sí, soy fashion blogger cliché que tiene las JC, pero pienso usarlas toda la vida - mentira no aguanté la tentación las quería mucho!

This is the final part of the xmas gifts, i finally got my Litas! they're dreamy! i know most bloggers aren't even wearing them, but i wanted them so bad! so after having credit card problems, got them lost in the mail, sites with the shoes out of stock on my size, i got them as a birthday present from my bf, and my lovely friend Martha brought them to me. Also i got a set of speakers for my ipod and 2 of my best friends got me a Nylon mag, a necklace with a typewriter pendant, and the September Issue of Italian Vogue with Stella Tennant making a tribute to the smallest waist Ethel Granger. I love everything i got!

And if you're hesitating about getting the Jeffrey Campbell's i say go for it! they're super comfy even though they're really tall! But if i walked 4 blocks and came out harmless those are good shoes. I know, i'm a fashion blogger cliché by getting the shoes, but i planned to wear them for life who am i kidding i wanted them so bad!
