After checking out some of my favorite blogs the other day, I stumbled on this post & pic about a new sunburst mirror:

How cute is that? And to think it's available at Home Depot. Thanks for the tip & from their website, you can plug in your zip code to see if it is in stock at your local HD. Good for me that it was in stock & off I went. The quality is really nice & worth the price. My oldest daughter has been looking for one to put above her bed & she didn't want to make the same one that I did a few months back. I think I like the Martha version from Home Depot better than mine. :(

Media Consoles

We have a debate going on in our house & that is 'where to put the TV'. Our TV currently is behind closed doors in the cabinet which I like because you can close it off. My husband wants a new bigger TV. We both aren't fans of mounting the TV above the fireplace for various reasons, so the other option is to use a media console. Here are a few options:

A while ago, I was at my favorite goodwill & found this campaign desk & coordinating hutch at the 50% off furniture sale.

I really had no use for the hutch so I asked my friend if her son & daughter-in-law would be interested since I knew they were expecting their first child. That family is very creative & I knew they would make it look great. Here is 1 more 'before' pic:

And the 'after' pic. A little bit of paint & sawed off the bottom. Love it & the stripes on the wall.

Holiday Finds

With all of the hustle & bustle of the holiday shopping, we still managed to find a few bargains. Especially, our trip to the Gap Outlet in KY. I've talked about this place before & it's not like the Gap Outlets at the large outdoor outlet centers. This is the Gap Outlet Clearance Center & you just never know what you will find. I am assuming these are clearanced shoes from their Piperlime site. We had a 25% off coupon that day too......we had a great time! :). On to our finds:

My latest read is "Angel in the Rubble" by Genelle Guzman-McMillan. The story is about how she was trapped in the rubble of 911 & was miraculously the last person rescued. Very inspirational book!
