Breeley's Sixth Birthday!!!

Her birthday started out with breakfast in bed. Hagen always takes his own money and buys something for the birthday mom/dad/brother/sister.

This year Hagen was a little short on money. So he decided to serve Breeley breakfast in bed. He got up early to make sure she would still be in bed when he her breakfast was ready. He made her favorite food, Pizza rolls! She was so surprised and so happy! Hagen is so awesome!

Breeley really wanted to wear the princess crown for her party. Breeley used to have quite the collection, but one by one, they have dissapeared. So she called Halle and borrowed one from her.

The special blanket. Grandma Nicholas makes a blanket for each great grandchild. They receive it for their sixth birthday. Breeley loves it and sleeps with it every night.

Her favorite treat!

Her very own Justin Bieber!

This is the one thing she asked for. Goggles that covers her nose!

We went to Bear Lake for a family reunion!

Without the trailer.

We slept in tents.

I prefer the trailer.

Breeley was so excited to be there!

So was Addison.

So was Hagen.

And Abell too.

As soon as we got there, Breeley changed into her swimming suit. She changed in the van. She couldn't wait for us to set up the tent.

Abell discovered putting a small hole in the lid of the water bottles. It was great entertainment as we waited for the rest of the family to show up.

It was really entertaining. :)

Abell talked to girls into burying him in the sand. He was having a lot of fun!

Breeley dressed up as the Bear Lake Monster for one of the games.

Breeley playing the game with the other monsters. Apparently, we missed the memo to make it out of cardboard. Oh well, ours was so much cuter!

What can I say??

Fourth of July!

Waiting for the parade to start!

We forgot to bring bags for the candy. Papa saved the day by creating bags out of the camp chair bags. Thanks Papa!

Abell and Hagen were in the parade for the Scream Team!

Abell saved some Otter Pops for us! Addison and Breeley were so happy!

The scream team float went by so fast, I didn't find Hagen until it was too late. This is the only picture I have of him!

After the parade we bought a new trampoline!!! Our old one bit the dust last fall.

It was fun watching Adam and the boys set up the tramp.

They worked really well together.

And they all had lots of fun when the work was done!

While Abell and Hagen were at scout camp, Addison, Breeley and I went bowling!

They both tried really hard to do a good job!

At the end of kindergarten, Breeley went on a field trip to the Zoo.

It rained the whole time we were there.

But Breeley had cute polka dot boots to wear, so we didn't mind the rain!

Addison played baseball this spring/summer!

Addison had a great baseball season. He played on the White Sox team. They were great and won almost every game!

This picture he missed the ball but his arm looks really cool. You can see his muscles working so hard!

They even played in the cold and rain and wind.

Having a snow cone after the game was always the best!

Especially when you get to hang out and eat with a super great friend!

Addison- You are AWESOME!

Herb Garden

I planted a herb garden last month. I have wanted one for years, and have had a few different herbs over the years but I have never had a dedicated space for them before. I chose this little spot right between the deck and the patio. It's a perfect spot and I absolutely love it! I have Chives, Rosemary, Cilantro, and a few varieties of Basil. I have used them several times in different meals and it really makes me so happy!

This is what they look like today. I need to get some soil pep to cover the ugly dirt, but the plants are growing great!

Breeley was so excited to graduate.

They did a little dancing.

A little guitar playing.

A little pretending to be animals.

For her "Talent" Breeley did a cartwheel, a round off and then a backhand spring.

Unfortunately, Adam missed getting a picture of the backhand spring. :(

They even played a kazoo! Breeley couldn't find hers under her chair so she improvised. It was the cutest thing ever!

She insisted on having her hair down with no clips. Next time I will insist on a clip. That hair was driving me crazy!

During the last song. Skidamarink! Breeley started to cry. She was so sad.

She was so sad to leave Mrs. Ewing! Breeley was crying, Mrs. Ewing was crying, I was crying. Lots of kids were crying.

We love Mrs. Ewing!!! Oh how I wish she would move up to first grade! She is such an amazing teacher. We were so blessed to have her as a teacher!!!

I overheard a grandma sitting behind me and she said "This is the saddest graduation I have ever been to." It was funny but true.

I am so sad for Breeley to leave kindergarten.

Hagen is a GRADUATE!

The sixth graders sang a song at their graduation. Hagen tried out and made one of the positions for a solo. It wasn't a solo with just him singing but it was a few kids together. I was really proud of Hagen for trying out for it. He was nervous the kids would make fun of him for being able to sing so high. I told him to own it and be proud of himself that he knows how to. He owned it alright!

Words can not describe how amazing his teacher Ms. Orton is! I am so so glad he chose to go the spectrum program. There is not a better sixth grade teacher out there!

We were so proud of him!

Hagen's sixth grade year was great! It was so hard to leave him at school that first day of school. It was a new school, a new program, and (the part we didn't realize) all the kids had been in the same class together since 3rd grade. It came with it's challenges, but the rewards were great!

I can't express how proud I am of Hagen. He really is an awesome young man!

Memorial Weekend!

For our Memorial Weekend we celebrated a little differently this year. Adam was out of town the week before and had to "travel" home on Saturday. So going camping was out of the question. Usually we have to leave by Thursday at the latest to get a camping spot anywhere and since I am not interested in pulling the trailer all by myself, we were stuck home waiting. Our bishop was also going to be out of town that weekend, so that meant that Adam needed to be in church.

So like any good mother {cough} would do, I booked us a night at a hotel! We picked up Adam from the airport on Saturday afternoon and headed straight to Park City. For this one weekend, I was glad we didn't have church until 1 pm.

We went there with the main intention of swimming. But there was some kind of a church group there and the pool was full. Like beyond capacity, so many people next to you uncomfortable full! The kids did swim for a bit when all the people went to dinner(?). But then we spent some time playing card games in the room.

This was a new game. It's called sit next to the door and have dad throw cards at you and see how many land in your lap! It was hilarious watching them anticipate the cards being thrown at them. They had a blast! I am sure we will play it every time we go to a hotel in the future.

It was a different kind of holiday weekend, but we enjoyed it!

And to my enjoyment, we were able to get some work done in the yard on Monday.

It was a win win weekend!

I know I have had a lot of Breeley posts lately. But she is cute and I can stand her right now.

{I live with TWO deacons! Enough said!}

I took these pictures of her a few weeks ago at tumbling. It is really fun for me to watch her tumble. I have wanted a little girl that does power tumbling ever since I was a teenager.

{Please don't tell Breeley though. I know she will want to quit if she know's how much I enjoy it.}

Near the end of school, Breeley's kindergarten class went on a little tour of the lunch room. They showed the class how they will get their lunch next year.

They showed them their different choices. Yogurt, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chicken sandwich, or main dish! Decisions Decisions!!!

They were able to eat a cupcake and have a chocolate milk! Yum!!!

It took them a few minutes of trying to get their milks open. They had to ask for help. They will get plenty of practice next year!

Breeley is really excited for school next year! I on the other hand, am not. :(

Before Breeley's dance recital I took her to an old barn near our home to take some pictures. I just think she is so darn cute! Even with her rain boots on!

Our dear sweet Jen Jen came over and did Breeley's makeup for her performance. I was a little nervous at first, but it really looks great!

Miss Sassy

She whined for half an hour before we left and during the whole car ride that she didn't want her pictures taken. After the first click of the camera... she turned into a sassy little model. It was kinda funny to watch her.

So Adam took the pictures during her performances and I did the video. {insert cough}

Adam took pictures of the wrong girl! Breeley was next to her!

So these pictures here are the best ones of her!

It was really fun to watch Breeley's recital. She had a lot of fun and even received a trophy! She can't wait for dance to start in the fall!

It's kinda hard to see but in the very back you can see the baby elephant.

It rained pretty much the entire time we were at the zoo. It didn't stop us from having fun! Breeley was really excited to get some new rain boots at the very last minute to help keep her feet dry while we were at the zoo. I think she looks pretty darn cute in them.

Trying Out!

Abell and Hagen's school for next year already held tryouts for the play they will be doing next year. Both Hagen and Abell tried out. It is going to be done differently next year. The boys will have a class every day that will allow them to practice and learn the dances. In years past it was all done after school.

Adam is working with Hagen.

Now Abell is giving it some practice.

Even Addison got in on the fun.

It is so fun to have so many boys with such great voices. Adam was surprised at how well they all were able to sing the songs so well.

It was no surprise that both boys were selected to be in the play!
They are both pretty excited!

A funny story.

The day of the tryouts as I was driving the boys over for Hagen's audition he was practicing in the car and Abell was helping him. Hagen sang "If I were a rich man deedle dee deeedle ddeedlee deee dedel dum..."

Abell said. "Hagen, remember to sing it like a man. Sing it deep down."

I was like "Thats funny! Sing deedle dee deedle dum like a man??"

I am sure you had to be there for it to be funny, but it was hilarious to me! ")

The play is in January 2012!

This is the 9th grade choir that Abell sang in this school year. He had the most amazing solo. I am hoping to figure out how to download the video so all can see it. I was so proud of him!!!

Hagen went to Classic Skating with his friends for his schools free skate night.

There was a song that you had to have sunglasses to be able to skate to it.

So Hagen bought some.

His free skate night cost him 13.00.

(Pizza, sunglasses, bounce house etc.)

Boy is he a sucker!

The skate night was the same night as the Fathers and Sons campout. Since this was going to be the last skate night for his elementary education, he really wanted to go. So he skipped the campout and spent the night at Classic Skating. After all "There will always be a Fathers and Sons campout every year!"

He had so much fun hanging out with his friends from his class.

He even skated with three girls.

I made a few signs to hang up in my house.
The red Market sign hangs up above the pantry.

This one hangs in the bathroom in the laundry area.
The bathroom door is usually open so you see it every time you walk into the house from the garage. I am hoping the boys read it every time they come in the house.
Like a subliminal message! :)
