The original line-up of Acid House band the Happy Mondays have reunited for a small UK tour later this year.

Shaun Ryder, Bez & Co. will reform for a string of dates around May.

Tickets go on sale for the Dublin gig at 9am on February 3, while tickets for all UK gigs go on sale at 10 am the same day.

MIA has released her new single ‘Bad Girls’.

Although an early version of the track appeared on MIA’s mixtape ‘Vicki Leekx’ at the end of 2010, ‘Bad Girls’ has now been reproduced by Danja and is available now.

The music video for ‘Bad Girls’ is due to be released on February 3.

Rockness 2012 has announced the three headliners for this year’s festival.

Biffy Clyro, Mumford& Sons, Deadmau5 are all set to headline the Scottish festival this year.

Rockness will take place between June 8-10.

Other big name acts set to play the festival this year include: Noah & The Whale; Justice; Metronomy; Wretch 32; Beardyman; Death In Vegas.

Swedish trio Miike Snow are set to release their new album ‘Happy To You’, on March 19.

As a tease for the forthcoming album, the band have released a new track titled ‘Black Tin Box‘, where they collaborated with fellow Swedish musician and songwriter, Lykke Li.

Miike Snow have confirmed that they will release their new single ‘Paddling Out‘ on March 12th.

Record Store Day has named Iggy Pop as their ambassador for 2012.

Set to take place on April 21, Record Store Day sees exclusive releases and special shows take place around the world to celebrate independent record shops.

After the public slating of her last album ‘/\/\/\Y/\’, MIA retreated from the public eye focusing on a once off mixtape titled ‘Vicki Leekz‘, which she released at the end of 2010.

The UK artist is now set to release one of the tracks from ‘Vicki Leekz‘ next week, in the run up to her fourth album release this summer.

The track is titled “Bad Girls“, and has been reworked with producer produced by Danja – who is known for his work with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado.

The video for the single will also be directed by acclaimed film maker Romain Gavras, who was responsible for MIA’s last music video “Born Free“.

“Bad Girls” will be released officially on January 31.

Google Music has announced the launch of it’s new “Magnified” program, which will look to select artists from Artist Hub and given them extra exposure on Google Music.

Artist Hub is a service from Google Music that allows Indie artists to sell their music directly from Google Music without using a digital distributor as an intermediary. At the same time, Google keeps a standard 30% of sales revenue and pays out 70%to the artist.

The new “Magnified” program will see artists selected by the Google team receiving extra exposure at Google Music through editorial features, interviews and performances.

One artist per week will be featured in the store’s “staff picks” section.

Google Music will then feature a series of “Magnified” concerts at venues like the SXSW and Coachella.
