I made this for the pillow talk swap on flickr. I don't want to give it away! I love it so much. I was inspired by this quilt from cluck cluck sew. I had all this fabric in my stash. I think I need to make a set of these for me! The backing fabric I got a a yard sale. The woman I bought it from said it had to be at least 10-15 years old. I wish I had more of it. I hope my partner likes it!

i learned to crochet

I taught myself how to crochet last week. I used this video (and this one.) I was hooked as soon as I started (pun intended.) It's not perfect. And it's cheap acrylic yarn. But I LOVE it and wear it every. single. day. I started another one... I don't know if I am going to keep it or gift it. I guess we'll see how it comes together.

My 3 year old has been diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. A lot of my time these past couple of months has been spent fighting for him to get more services so he can find his voice. (And I got those services! We have seen an improvement since his new therapies have started!) It's really heartbreaking to watch your child try to play with his peers and not being able to communicate.
