We adopted a 2-year-old pup from the shelter and he’s just a wonderful addition to our household. He’s so well-behaved and also is house-trained. I feel so lucky that I found you Riley!

No-fuss online school.  This is awesome.  Seriously, you can learn anything and not have to waste a bunch of money doing it.  I’m taking a web design class right now.  The teachers know their stuff.  Yeah baby!!  I’m getting smarter!  Hhhahahahahha.

I’d just like to say that I think it’s funny that people still read my blog even though I don’t  post regularly.  Also, I just joined Facebook and made a ton of friends in one day. I’m an internet social butterfly. Hahahhaha! Oh well, at least I’m popular somewhere. I’ll take whatever I can get.

My husband and I went to the Atlanta Zoo the other day and we got some pretty good action shots.  The animals were in rare form to say the least.  Check it out!

It's me upside-down!

I’m back at it again, blogging that is, it sure has been awhile.  O.k. so my theme for this post is “Giving Thanks” as a tribute to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  I can sometimes be a “glass is half empty” type of person so I’m going try to blog about the things that I’m happy about.  There is a lot to be thankful for, please feel free to add your ideas to this post.

Hopefully I’m not jinxing all of the things that I’m thankful for by posting this…

Some of The Things that I am Thankful For:

*That I have two working hands and can still play my guitar

*My husband, family, friends, co-workers, random kids that I know, my chiropractor, book store owner who is friendly to me, parents who buy my CD, Barack Obama, Mother Earth, and all the people behind the TV shows Dexter, Smallville, Weeds, and 30 Rock.

*The fact that I finally learned how to assert myself a little bit. 

*Food on the table, a roof over my head, and a car in the driveway.

*Living in the land of opportunity and knowing that there is always a way out of a sucky situation.

*Internet and my cellphone

*I still have hair on my head and working eyesight

*WordPress (I love you guys!)

*Progressive insurance (this company is the best)

*Being paid to work

*Putamayo CDs

*Friendly drivers (although there are not many of them in Atlanta, the few that are out there, I love you)

*Cool people from my past that still talk to me

*Animal Planet-especially the show called, It’s Me or the Dog

*Food Network-especially anything that has Bobby Flay in it

*Puppies

o.k. to a poor person like me, this new-found knowledge is like a GOLD mine.  find a local school that trains beauticians, masseuses, yoga teachers, etc.  and sign up!  they’re great and affordable and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m trying to find all the waves to save a buck.

I just found the blog of this guy who hates my guts and he has several posts dedicated to trashing me.  Thankfully he does not use my name in the posts (but if you know the circumstances, you know who he is referring to).  Some of the highlights of his posts about me:

“Bi-polar midget”

“Emotionally arrested at age 14″

“Says the words ‘like, duh, dude, um, what up, etc. like an idiot’”

Wow.  It’s amazing how I, the 28-year-old, managed to affect a 45-year-old so much.  I’m trying not to take it too personally.  But it still hurts.  Oh well.

WTF???

My tank is on empty and I need gas.  There are long gas lines at the few stations that have it.  What makes it worse, is that everyone seems to have driver-side tanks and they are all lining up accordingly.  I have a passenger-side tank and need to line up differently.  What should I do???  I can’t back in because people will think I’m cutting in line.  This is crazy!  PLUS, it’s been like this for days with no end in sight.

Help. 

Actually, I’m reading in the news that several other southern states are having gas shortages.  The news is being really vague about all of this and not properly covering this problem that is sweeping the southeast.

Folks, see this as an omen.  It’s only a matter of time before gas shortages come to your area.
