Living Well: Maneuvering Through Life As a 20-Something

Who told you nothing's ever free? They're lying straight to yo face!

2010-05-27T00:03:00.000-05:00

Here are tons of free samples for you! ** Usually the free samples are accompanied by generous coupons that you cant find elsewhere.

I have literally filled out probably 100 free sample forms in the past 24 hours. I never knew the abundance of them that exist. I cannot wait until my mailbox starts filling up with freebies :) My poor apartment complex... they are gonna think I am craz(ier) than they already think I am! Oh well, free is free baby!

Plus, if you don't use any of these items go ahead and get the sample pack anyways. Start your own donation bin/bag/container. When it's full take it to a local women's shelter. Especially the soaps/feminine products - they will be such a blessing to those women!

My $1.92 evening trip to Target!

2010-05-26T18:02:00.001-05:00

Listerine Whitening for $0.48 a bottle at Target! How? Heard from a little birdie that these have been clearanced down yet AGAIN to $1.98. I went to check it out at my store and sure enough they were marked down! I used 2 $2/1, and 2 $1/1's... here's the breakdown.

$7.92 - $6 coupons = $1.92 ($0.48 cents each)
I got all four for less than the price of one! What a deal. Giving 1 bottle to my sister, and 1 bottle in my donation bin, and keeping 2 bottles for myself. That worked out great!

And about those Whiska's cat treats. FREE. I used 2 B1G1's on them, and got them both free. Sweet!

The 3 W's

2010-05-24T22:53:00.001-05:00

Who: I am a 20 something residing somewhere in the great state of Texas. I am revamping my life, as most do in their early 20's. I am beginning to see myself for who I am and who I want to be. Words to describe me include: a thinker, rambunctious, money-conscious, silly, loves a good deal, artsy, medium on the "Green" scale, student, loves helping people, laughing all the time, and would cure the world of all its problems if I could. I am also stubborn, can give up a bit too easily sometimes, and a bit unsure of myself in general. This blog is as much a part of my journey to being a better person as is it for helping others save money and live BETTER, HAPPIER LIVES that have purpose and meaning.

What: This blog is going to be a melting pot of sorts. I will hopefully update very regularly about many different topics. The general theme of my blog is about living the best life possible. I am going to post lots of information on saving money, paying off debt [i.e. the dreaded student loans, or the Visa from you know where], shopping on a budget, free or cheap entertainment, eating healthy with SIMPLE recipes, self-improvement, and all kinds of ways to give to those around you.

Why: We only get one chance at life. I want to do it right. It's never too late (or too early!) to revamp your life, change your spending habits, learn to give freely, and be the best person you can while you're sharing this planet with billions of other people.
