I know slavery from textbooks. But, I did grow up in a small town in Texas. There were railroad tracks that separated the races. For the most part, there still are. 

I'm ashamed to say that I did grow up thinking there was a difference between races and that mine was superior. I was never told this, but the society I grew up in

The boys love the trains and it was such a gift to share this years' adventure with our friends Nathan, Adam and Sarah. The train benefits the Ronald McDonald house, which holds a special place in Nathan's mom's heart. They've spent a lot of time there, and she credits them for much support and

I was so excited to join Heath's mom and sister last Saturday to go shopping for wedding dresses. My aunt made my dress, so I never tried a lot on before my wedding.  I actually never tried any on.  Looking back, I'm even more amazed at the awesome-ness of my aunt and her ability to make my dress.  I sent her two pictures, one of the front, one of the back, and she went to work.  And what she

There aren't a whole lot of real pumpkin patches around here, but there are an awful lot of "pumpkin patches." We visit the same one every year and love it.  The boys love running through
