domain="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#">Google Sneaky

Do Not Buy Nick Mark's Google Sneaky

Most of the time when you see this type of headline it is simply an attention getter so that the person using it can sell you the product after telling you how good it is.

That is not the case this time. I actually mean to stongly suggest that you NOT buy the Google Sneaky program.

It is not that the information inside is awful or wrong. Nick Marks gives you several short video sessions on how to video your presentations using Camtasia or MS Movie Maker and he tells you why it is so important to use video in your sales process. Anyone who has a copy of the Mind Movie Creation Kit, the various programs from Kickstart Media (Traffic Geyser folks), or courses from any number of other online experts, will already have this information. If you don't, ask your teenager for help for free!

I have a couple of main gripes. One is, you will be subjected to a high pressure, sleezy sales pitch for his coaching program over the phone, and if the fact that you will be receiving a call is mentioned, it is in very fine print. I have been through this many times for many other internet marketing programs and they tend to follow a pattern, although this is on the high end of the pressure scale from what I have experienced. When I said I was not interested they were not willing to drop it and just go on to the next person on their call list. They tried to make me feel as if your efforts online have been unsuccessful and they are your ticket to wealth and happiness for a substantial coaching fee. They won't take no for an answer.

The marketers who tell you up front that you will have a 30 minute free "coaching session" as a result of signing up for the loss leader offer I find generally have a little more useful and helpful information to share. They are still trying to ultimately sell you on a high ticket coaching program, but they do provide some valuable help.

Marks' team springs this call on you at just about the time you get home to make dinner and don't even ask if this is a convenient time to call. They don't warn you that by signing up for the basic offer you will be called about coaching. When I told them I wanted to cancel the ongoing $97 charge, the first person to call said, "Oh yes, the hidden charge." The next day someone else even more obnoxious called and when I asked for information on how to cancel, he said he could not do that, and hung up. Rule one of salesmanship is, when a customer wants to cancel, make it EASY for them to do so. Maybe then they won't blast you in a blog post or a forum discussion.

I have been all through my emails and for the life of me, I can't find any follow up on the Google Sneaky program that gives me info on how to cancel. The trial period, if you bothered to read the fine print, was 7 days and then you'd be billed $97 for his ongoing program. It looks as if I will have to wait all 7 days and then call from the number on my credit statement. What a waste of money! What incredibly poor customer service! It is almost a given that when they make it this hard to cancel before the first billing, they will be unwilling to refund the charge.

In contrast, the marketers with continuity programs that I respect and follow regularly, like Michael Cheney, Alan Bechtold, Erik Stafford, Mike Filsaime, Dr. Mike, Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss, Marc Horne, Todd Gross, Tellman Knudson, the GVO team, and several others I have had ongoing relationships with, all are very up front in the way they advertise their continuity programs and how you will be vetted through their funnel. They also make if very clear from the moment you sign on to a program how to get ahold of customer service, even if you are calling to cancel. They treat their clients with respect, and they are rewarded in large measure because of their excellent service, not just because of the excellence of their programs.

If you decide to get the initial Google Sneaky offer for under $10 you will have two upsells right away. One is to a "free" website, which really just means you'll have the same replicated site as thousands of other people. That will get you nowhere. When you realize that you are offered a fairly expensive upgrade for a more "flexible" hosting plan. My experience with trying that plan for a couple of sites is that it really gives you little or now help in setting up your site. You can do better simply getting yourself a hosting account at Hostgator that offers lower priced plans for hosting one site, or GVO, which offers excellent service and training for newbies.

The other upsell is to Traffic Geyser, which is a good service, but will cost around $97 per month. There are less expensive ways to start with video marketing. For one, if you sign up for a GVO plan you will get free video hosting. In addition, unless you take very good note of where you can cancel-- and I didn't find thatinformation in the basic member site nor in any follow up-- you will be charged $97 per month after 7 days. There is very little information about what that continuity program will get you.

I expect better service, better products, and more transparency from someone who won the Marketer of the Year award a couple years ago. Google Sneaky? Marks Sneaky is more like it.

This is the kind of advice that all internet marketers need to take to heart and commit to memory. Like Cheney, I’m afraid many of us have committed these mistakes time and again, and they really do rob many people of success.

Rather than repeat exactly what Michael says, I’m going to summarize this points by turning the negatives into positives. DO these things and you too should have internet marketing success:

1. Think positively about what you know already. Essentially, everything you learn in IM makes you a little better qualified than the next person to be considered an expert at some aspect of the business. Just specialize in one or two things that you are good at after sampling the waterfront of the techniques and strategies for making money on the internet. No one can do it all, but everyone can become an expert in one or two strategies.

2. Know why you are marketing and have a marketing plan. Know what you do best, the techniques needed to best market what you have to sell, and get it done. You must first plan what you need to do and then you need to take action. Also, understand why we are marketing in the first place. We are here to help people solve problems using the online environment.

3. Be focused. Decide what it is you want to do and get it done. Most people get distracted with what Cheney calls “bright, shiny objects,” or, “the magpie effect.” Soon they are going off on tangents and in different directions from where they started. The distractions just lead to nothing getting finished.

4. You need a mentor. Don’t listen to the people who have less experience and background than you have. Find people who have successfully solved the issues you face, and follow their lead. It is ok to associate with people who are about at your level of experience. These people can make great partners and mastermind friends, but people who do not have any more experience than you have do not make the best mentors for you.

5. Go where others have gone before you. This applies, first of all, to finding a niche. If no one is presently marketing in this niche and no one has ads already, then there is a good chance that this is not a profitable niche. Don’t reinvent the wheel, at least not initially. You can still create products, but make them compilations of the best of what is already available, or a tool that helps others digest what someone else has created. There will be time enough in your career to invent new ways of doing things once you can afford the extra risk of going it your own way. Doing your own thing is always more risky and costly, so save it for when you have more experience, if at all.

6. Remember the real business we are in with internet marketing: it is really a people business and you must get out and interact with people in order to be successful. Get involved with a networking team or mastermind; frequent forums and discussion groups; attend live events. Be there to help people. Don’t hide yourself away in a cave.

7. Because IM is really a people business, the primary focus should be on helping others to solve problems, not in making money. Sometimes the right thing to do is to make a little less money in order to make the information you have to share more affordable. Yes, you are in it to make a profit, but, if that is the primary motivator you will probably not succeed. The best marketing strategy is generally to give the highest value and to “move the free line” wherever possible. This builds a following better than going after the buck first and doling out the information later because it works from the element of trust.

This is just a sampling of the kind of material in Delta Squadron. It is a great way for kinesthetic learners to grasp IM and basic business building skills because Cheney uses a combination of video, audio, print, graphs and charts to get different lessons across.

Currently Delta Squadron is closed, but Michael is forming a waiting list for the next entry point into the program. To find out more about the program and join the waiting list for a look inside the product check the Delta Squadron link.
I have moved all of my websites to Kiosk and recommend it for my clients.

Over the past two years I've watched Kiosk grow from a small Canadian-based company into a global powerhouse based out of San Antonio where that have virtually unlimited bandwidth available and a state of the art computer data center to support their vastly increased services.

Kiosk is also the home of Hot Conference video conferencing, a strong contender in the web conferencing arena. They've continued to improve the capabilities of this conferencing platform to support all types of media platforms. I have experimented with the conference room and have attended many trainings in the Hot Conference classroom. Each member with a Titanium (unlimited hosting) account gets a 10 seat conference room free.

Kiosk as of mid-September officially became GVO, Global Virtual Opportunities, and has many other new features that all come as part of a Titanium membership. Some of you may have tried the Easy Video Producer, the easy way to produce and upload videos onto premade optin and other forms for viewing on the internet. This is a place to store your videos, again, all part of a great package that if you bought it separately would cost lots more.

New to the GVO line-up is a full autoresponder service and bulk mailing. GVO comes from an internet marketing background and hosts many top people in IM. While certainly no spamming is allowed, they do understand the need for mass emailings for clients who have large downlines and major launches and they are good to work with.

I've also found GVO very up front in dealing with clients. When there was an equipment failure that was supposed to be covered by a piece of equipment which also failed, Joel Therien, GVO's CEO, was on the spot creating a video for members of what happened and what he was doing to fix the problem. Joel and his right hand guy, Mike Potvin, have been religious about doing video blogs two or three times per week for the past year to let all members know how the upgrade to GVO was progressing. I have rarely worked with such a transparent company willing to share the good, bad and ugly. (Mostly it's been good though.)

The list building phase is just about done for the big launch. Check out the free training on how to be more effective in network marketing at: http://www.eliminatemlmfailure.com and watch for the launch details of the new GVO.

Liz Nichols
www.eliminatemlmfailure.com
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Bombing the Competition: Michael Cheney's Delta Squadron

Every so often a marketer comes along who is so compelling that you've got to follow them. You just know that this is the one who will make a difference in your life. The one who will cut through the crap, knock you up-side the head and set you straight.

Michael Cheney is such a teacher.

In a matter of a couple of years Michael has risen from loser status to hero status. He has helped over 200 marketers find their way online and start to make a full time income based on his sound and practical advice.

What's more, he makes it fun. He uses imaginative terms for what could be seen as mundane tasks. He is funny and witty, so it is not hard to listen to him for an hour-long webinar. In fact, you look forward to his online meet-ups.

He answers your questions and he gets back to you, and the cost of this personal coaching is actually within a lot of people's budgets (unlike so many gurus where you practically have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it.) He understands that there are many ordinary people out there who need his help and can only afford to make a modest investment to get the help that is needed to succeed.

He know because he's been there. Michael struggled for about 5 years to make an income online. He was living in a small apartment with a dead end job and both drinking and drug habits. He turned his life around completely and in a very short time was making $1 million to $5 million per launch for his projects. He now lives in a lovely house in the Scottish countryside and commands a great income from his online business and consulting.

He's just released his latest program, Delta Squadron. It's as creative and fun as his earlier programs. He includes his secrets to how he made his first $1 million in a few days. There are also a couple of attractive upgrade options, along with a 30 day free trial of his membership program. Get it here:

http://www.deltasquadron.com/a/go?a=42244

If you don't already have an internet marketing teacher, I highly recommend that you grab on to Michael. He is one of the best, and, frankly, you can't beat his price for the amount of value you'll get from his program.

Get on board now:
http://www.deltasquadron.com/a/go?a=42244

Liz Nichols
http://www.myblogbuilders.com

PS: I have just joined his exclusive coaching program. I will share what I can with my list, so comment here with your email and I'll get you on the list.
http://www.deltasquadron.com/a/go?a=42244
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Headlines that Sell

I highly recommend a great new blog post from Michel Fortin's blog:
http://www.michelfortin.com/headlines-that-pull-persuade-and-propel/

He bemoans the recent trend toward long, mushy and totally ineffective headlines. He suggests building a swipe file of great headlines. Here's a starter from this same Fortin blog post. Use emotional hot buttons to build the most effective headlines:

* Curiosity (“Revealed! I have
noticed that more of these events are taking place
spread throughout the year-- perhaps because at events
like JV Alert the Big Guys get together and plan out a
calendar of major launches. If you don't follow in line
you're toast. Despite the coordination, fall is always
a busy training season in the IM industry.

Each person must to assess training needs before getting
caught up in the frenzy of buying the latest and greatest
product. No one has enough cash and time to go to all of
the super events out there, and you don't want to waste
the precious time and money on the wrong thing.

Sometimes when you buy a low cost product, the upsell will
be a high end course to help you tailor the training
materials to your own situation. It's a great strategy,
but it leaves a lot of people with training courses they
didn't realize they can't afford to support properly.

The hard copy course without the on site training is
sometimes much less useful, so in order to protect
the investment on a new product, it may well be
important to attend the live event. It is
too bad that these often hit the market quickly leaving
little time for those marketers who are not in the IM
Inner Circle little time to plan and budget for the
most critical events, or even double-booked.

Trainings are of at least 3 kinds:

1. The least focused on specific topics is usually the
"tell and sell." This is a workshop on a fairly general
topic area, such some famous marketer's free customers'
"thank you" event. By getting in a room customers who
have bought your products in the past, you've got a
perfect set-up to get them to buy products again at the
seminar, at a higher price point. So the big-name
marketer invites all of his buddies to talk about their
latest and greatest products.

Sometimes these will be relevant to what you need, and
most will not.

While the relevance of the tell and sell is lower,
the cost is also usually little other than travel costs,
and it does offer a good opportunity to network with other
marketers and to meet, often for the first time, some of
the big names in the industry.

It is good to attend one or two of these "tell and sell"
events early on in one's IM career just to meet people
and get the scope of all the new products coming on the
market. Try to avoid the urge to jump to the buy line in
the back of the room, unless the product is really way too
cool to pass up, and can be used IMMEDIATELY in your business.

2. Lecture training

This type of training is classroom style teacher at the front
podium and students taking notes at tables lined up in the rest
of the room. There may be guest teachers, or you may be drinking
at the cup of one great master. There is time, usually for
questions, and people you want to talk to can be buttonholed in
the halls, but the emphasis is on a lot of listening and note-
taking.

This format works best when the crowd is filled with fairly new
people, or people new to the product, and they just need to be
grounded in all the details. If there is a manual or video series
with on online training to follow, then the student can go back
home and apply the training to their own situation. With a good
support desk, the student will often feel good about the training
experience, even if they quickly forget the details.

This type of training may be rolled into the purchase price of
a product, or may include a refundable $97 to assure attendance
by registrants. Other common price points for this type of
training are $497 to $997, depending on the popularity and
scarcity of information on the topic.

3. Hands on workshop.

For this type of session, bring your laptop and notebook because you
are in for a lot of individual work. This type of session will
usually start with some lecture ground-work and will quickly move
on to more individual training where associates of the guru will
go around and assist people who get stuck. Often people will be
grouped into teams, interest area, or level of experience so that
the groups can move along at approximately the same pace.

Personally, I get the most out of this type of session, provided
I can apply it to a project I am actually working on and have a high
level of confidence and respect for that guru and his/her team.
When you can go home with a website completed and checked over by an
experienced IM'er, or a detailed project plan for how to carry out your
next launch, then the feeling of accomplishment is tremendous, and you can
zoom your success rate tremendously as a result of the experience.

Often these sessions do not come cheap, and go up in cost the fewer
people who are being helped at the same time. It is common for
IM small hands-on sessions to cost from $1997 to $5000. One-on-one,
if the guru even does them, will cost $5000 per day and up.
Major rainmakers like Jay Abraham may cost $5000 per hour or more.

There have been times in the past couple years when IM pundits
wondered if the on site training model was dead. Seats were left
unfilled and whole events have had to be cancelled because of the
high cost of travel and the uncertainty about the economy.

The live Webinar is also fast becoming a viable substitute for high
quality, hands on training. I will be covering this more as the
former Hot Conference is reborn in the form of GVO Conference with
many cool interactive features that are not commonly available when
there are large numbers of registrants.

Note that the largest Webinar in internet history just took place a
few days ago when Perry Belcher and Ryan Deiss introduced Belcher's
new Social Networking course. Webinars can be tremendously successful
in introducing product launches, and they can also be highly useful
in delivering premium content. Again, more on this aspect of IM
training in a later post.

Liz Nichols
lizdnichols@gmail.com
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Big Seminar Preview Is Today

Today is the day for the Big Seminar
lead-up training call.

Big Seminar is the oldest and biggest of the
Internet Marketing get-togethers. The traditions
was started 13 years ago by Armand Morin, creator
of the Generator line of products and one of the
foremost trainers in the industry.

This year's Big Seminar will be held Nov. 6-8 in Las Vegas.
I can assure you that all the big name marketers will be there,
and a good share of them will be speaking. This is one of those
events where joint ventures and bonds of friendship are made
within the IM community.

In leading up to the big event, Armand does weekly
teleseminars with the speakers he is featuring at
the seminar-- 20 teleseminars in all that are completely
free. Even those who do not make it to Big Seminar will
benefit greatly from the sessions with leaders in IM being
interviewed by Armand.

Tonight's call is 9 p.m. Eastern. This really is pushing the free line.

Here's the information on Darren's program: http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=1025701

Why would a marketer move the freeline so much? Well, Monroe understands the value of a paying customer to his list. It's a great strategy for building a high quality list, and a rabid fan following, especially among JV partners who will be eager to help out again if this campaign is successful.

Again, check it out here: http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=1025701

Liz Nichols

PS: Follow me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/liznichols.
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Blogger Makes Six Figures Just from Blogging (You Can Too)

Hey there--

Thought you'd enjoy this information about a twenty-something Aussie who in a short period of time went from writing term papers for foreign students at university to a six figure income from his Entrepreneur's Journey blog and related blogging activities.

Quite simply, anyone can duplicate Yaro Starak's success simply by following a few very do-able steps to create and maintain an interest-grabbing blog. Unless you already have a long portfolio of websites, books, articles and seminar appearances in a given niche, you need to look at building a constellation of Web 2.0 sites that point back to your main business hub site, or your main money site.

The latest authorities believe you need three to five blogs, Squidoo lenses and other content-loaded sites on various aspects of your main topic, all pointing back to your main site. There is evidence that it works best to link back to your main business, or a hub site for a product line, rather than to take these Web 2.0 sites directly to your main money site. The best structure may depend on the product, what the competition is like, and other factors, and will always be subject to testing and readjustment as needed.

When I'm working on a new project for myself, or for a client, the very first thing I generally do is keyword analysis. I like to find out who my competition is, how successful they are, and how much traffic is coming in for the site vs. the number of competing web pages. Tools I use make it very easy to analyze the potential money to be made with a given keyword using search engine optimization (SEO) or natural search order, or AdWords Pay Per Click campaigns. I can also quickly get information on the top 10 or more competitors for a given keyword, and how vulnerable they are to being knocked back by a concerted marketing and SEO effort on our part.

I then plan out a series of "pillar" and secondary articles and blog posts to put on new themed blogs, Squidoo lenses and free Ezine directories. I look for opportunities to submit press releases for new sites, products and services. Then I follow up with syndication of the most important content, bookmarking and blog and forum commenting for client properties.

All of this takes time, and, quite frankly, I will soon be hiring Virtual Assistants. Web Designers and Freelance Writers to help me keep up with the demand for these activities.

The site that describes my Content Management business is MyBlogBuilders.com. In this blog I concentrate on using blogs to develop your authority in a niche market, and on the art of blogging itself, as well as covering the latest on my own Content Management business. People who are interested in working on these types of content management projects should contact me here, or through MyBlogBuilders.com.

In addition to writing my own information products for the real estate and other niche markets, I have a number of clients for whom I produce blog and article copy, newsletters and ebooks. I also analyze keywords and advise clients on the best "money" and "traffic" keywords for their markets.

I particularly like to advise people who are just starting out in a niche and need assistance in narrowing the niche to the most profitable sub-niches. The mistake too many people make at first (and I've been guilty of this myself) is to pick too general a niche that provides little hope of optimizing to a top search engine spot, even after years of effort. Unless you are willing to spend massive amounts of money, it is difficult to impossible to rank in very broad or amorphous categories. We charge $197 for keyword analysis and a report of SEO competition and traffic estimates for one niche or "money" website.

If you are interested in an analysis just contact me through the comments, which we moderate and will keep private for you. Leave contact information and we'll get hold of you.

Our other content management services are customized and can vary depending on other work we may be doing for a client. In general, to prepare and maintain three Web 2.0 sites referencing a main "money" or "hub" site, do regular blog posting, create and post a package of articles on Ezine directories, syndicate, bookmark and blog comment in order to establish authority for your key sites costs $497 per month. We will put together a quote for you if you respond to this post, or contact us via www.MyBlogBuilders.com.

The SEO process for content management, while not the fastest way to "make it" online, is one of the surest ways to financial stability as you grow your good reputation in your niche.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

My New Information Marketing Blog

The Blogger format was a very fast way to start blogging, but I've found it has its limitations as the main hub for my marketing business. I will continue to make posts when they are directly related to Internet Marketing, but the blog that will define my business and what I am doing now for clients and my own projects will be: ElizabethDNichols.com.

The new site was developed by GVO web designers, but it is based on a Wordpress theme and I'm maintaining it through Wordpressdirect.

So far I have just posted a little bit about me and have started adding two or three posts per week on the topics of Information Marketing, Social Networking and how this related to my Content Management work for clients and myself.

It's still a work in progress, but I would appreciate if you check out my new site.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Dubli Shopping Goes Online in U.S.

Today Dubli took a big step forward in the U.S. market by opening its online shopping mall to the public with approximately 800 stores. This makes Dubli one of the largest discount shopping portals in the world.

Last October Dubli introduced its unique reverse auctions to the American public offering some exceptional bargains through its system of price checks. For each 80 cent credit spent, the price is lowered by 25 cents. In the zero-based auction the last one to do a price check when the auction reaches zero gets the award-- whether they've spent just one credit or hundreds of credits to be the last bidder.

There is also a unique item auction featuring all new, name brand merchandise. Soon about 500 auctions will be going simultaneously. The lowest unique bid for any given item when the timer runs out will get the item at that price. Winners of unique item bids are coming away with bargains at hundreds and even thousands of dollars in savings.

The last auction format, the Xpress, gives bidders the chance to "buy now" at a price they like. Even the starting price will be among the lowest for that product online-- and the bidding will simply drive the price even lower.

Because many people are bidding on items the costs get covered very handsomely for Dubli and its business partners.

I'm fortunate to have found a Dubli team that has many innovative ways to recruit new business partners, as well as non-profit partners. We're taking full advantage of social media, professional telemarketers so that you don't need to do any cold calling, and targeted marketing in order to increase the likelihood of success for every member of our team.

I'm particularly excited about what Dubli can do for non-profits. Many of these organizations are really hurting right now. Establishing an embedded giving program with Dubli only makes sense for a wide variety of charities. Contact we and I'll send you a link to a presentation on how Dubli can help your favorite charity.

Take a look at my shopping portal at http://vur.me/s/Dublishopping, then when you're ready to try it out, Twitter me a private message at http://www.twitter.com/liznichols, and I'll be happy to send you some Dubli credits to try on my dime.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

IM During the Superbowl?

As I sit here watching our Cedar Rapids, hometown hero, Kurt Warner's team get beat (hey it's only the first quarter!) I've been checking out what's going on online. Predictably, not much. Most online marketers take a break to honor the Gods of Football.

The exception-- Bob The Teacher Jenkins, who is holding his second annual Superbowl Halftime Sale where he'll part with copies of some of his premier information products for the half time score. It's pretty low right now-- just 3/0, so potentially, everything could go for this bargain basement price. (Ok, so it just went to 10/0, but it's still a great deal!)

Anyway, head on over to Bob's Superbowl Halftime Sale to check it out while you're munching on your brats and hotdogs. Could be the best bargain of the year for IM'ers!

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Effective Blogging

I'm currently going through Charles Heflin's 20/20 course on social media. Heflin is widely recognized as the most influential voice in social networking today. He concentrates on the practices that are long lasting and will be effective today, tomorrow, and next year, not just the expedient things that give you better page rank today.

Like Ceballos and Fong in my last post, Heflin is alerting the social networking community that Google is fixing to become the dominant force in social networking and is studying the field carefully. It will be relatively easy for Google to tell when posts that you are linking back to from social media sites are filled with content or just linking farms to tout your own material. If this is all you are doing with social media, then prepare to be slapped very soon!

Heflin says that three elements must be present in every blog post and syndicated article in order to be read and followed consistently. It must be educational, entertaining and enlightening. He feels it is better to concentrate on writing truly amazing content then in posting every day with mediocre fare. Great advice!

20/20 will teach you which social media properties you need to pay attention to most and build up with content, not just links. The 20/20 classroom shows you why, what and how of social networking.

One way to change things up (this is me talking, not necessarily Charles) is to use a content management company to create content for you. When you employ professional writers you are getting the benefit of people who know how to research and write effectively. You're also getting an outside team with email addresses other than your own to backlink the posts that are going on your blogs for you. Soon, that may become a critical distinction in whether or not your backlinks are going to rank.

I'm at the formative stages of building a content management team. Take a look at www.myblogbuilders.com for an idea of what we are doing, and contact me if you are interested in knowing more. We don't have one standard price list at this point, but we are happy to give you a quote for your particular set of content needs.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

New No Cost Training Videos Out

I've run into two great video series for Internet Marketers this week that I want to share with you. Both cost absolutely nothing.

For newbies and old-timers, Eric Holmlund's series of 120 tip videos looks very promising. Holmlund is the writer and director of Joel Comm's famous "Next Internet Millionaire" online reality show, and the author of a wide variety of top online products. He says that his brief series of videos will take the process of building a business online from the very beginning steps to very sophisticated secret tweaks that he has used to create his own multi-million dollar Internet business. Check it out at Ericstips. Be prepared to actually do some homework to prepare for each session.

For those who want to get the very latest on doing search engine optimization for better natural search ranking, take a look at SEO Networker, a little training site by Ferny Ceballos and Raymond Fong. These two show you in 8 quick lessons how to use social sites for social buzz and not for spammy marketing. By building credibility you'll build your readership and add indirectly to your bottom line. They warn that Google is watching the development of social sites very carefully and will soon be out with the next slap to penalize sites that have done bookmarking and reciprocal link exchanges without building content and profile first on social sites. Those who want to learn SEO work in depth should consider the mastermind sessions that Ceballos and Fong will be holding after their private membership site closes on Feb. 2. Unlike the limited 8 part series, the 8 week training sessions will cost to get in, but will almost certainly be worth the price of admission for those who want to get down white hat natural SEO techniques cold.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Placement Locator by Armand Morin a Winner

Hi,

I've just been through the training videos for Armand Morin's new Placement Locator software.

Some of you may be aware that in addition to the Adwords pay per click network Google offers another, less costly but at least as effective, method of advertising. They call it their content placement network. I've fiddled with it on my own and, like everything else, it takes some experimentation to get your banner ads running right and placed on the money making sites. Armand's software takes a lot of the guess-work and time-consuming searching out of finding just the right sites to advertise on.

If you haven't tried the content placement network yet, you'll be amazed at the power of CPM, or cost per thousand views, advertising on Google and the other large networks. It is definitely the way to go for those who want to promote consistently and at a low cost point on Google.

Armand has been using this automated tool for a couple of years now, and is one of the reasons for the rapid growth of his business-- it's really his secret weapon. Now you can use it too. Check out the video that explains the system at: Placement Locator.

Liz Nichols

copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Become a Blogger Premium

If you post to one or more blog daily you need to maximize your time and effort by using the best tools in the right way. This is the time when one feels the most pressure to make money in order to pay all those holiday bills, and yet the days are the shortest and the time the most limited to actually get it all done.

I have been trying to put up a couple of new websites, something I fully admit I do not do well. I've spent two full days doing all the site editing and whatnot to get up my version of Derrick Van Dyke's "Affiliate Marketing Blueprint" system, watching the video setup instructions repeatedly. As often happens, when I tested my downloaded software all I got was the directory page and not the actual index.html homepage. I know I've run into that before, and it's frustrating because I never seem to remember exactly how to fix it.

I'm anxious to get the package up because it is an awesome, and very, very reasonably priced business in a box for folks. I'm sure I'll get it solved, but I had to put it aside for the moment in order to take care of other pressing matters.

Late last week my good friend, Brad Wozny, put out an email to his list about my e-book, "Understanding Foreclosure." If you're looking for a Clickbank product to promote in the real estate niche, this is one to consider. It's meant for the homeowner who is going into foreclosure. This is an unusual angle, because most of the material in that niche are for investors looking to make a killing in the foreclosure market. Most of the remaining material that is also meant for homeowners tries to also appeal to investors and ends up appealing to no one.

My guide is different because it tries to take the homeowner on a step by step guided tour of the options and which options work in various scenarios. My guide is sensitive to the fact that people who are hurting are not going to want to hear about how much money someone can make off of the misfortune of someone in foreclosure. They just want help and they want the steps to avoiding foreclosure to be clear and concise.

If that's the kind of guide you'd like to promote, then pick it up here:
Understanding Foreclosure.
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

The Mysteries of Pinging and RSS Feeds

Hi Gang--

The Mystery of Ping

Kenneth Koh from Leads Leap blog just cleared up one of the nagging mysteries I've had lately. A few weeks ago these annoying red highlighted URLs started popping up every time I went to a website. I couldn't figure out what was happening until I read Kenneth's article at:
How to Use Ping.

What he says is that the SEO book plugin for Firefox now gives an indication of which sites are nofollow when you do link backs. There are a mess of them! Of course, you want follow links in order to build back links. Unfortunately for those of us into marketing with our blogs and other web posting services, Wordpress blogs default to nofollow. So... you need to go to your settings file and make sure the follow feature is turned on.

The Mystery of RSS Feeds

I was notified by Getresponse that my signup box at this site has been discontinued because they were getting a message that my link doesn't work. I still have not solved that mystery, but after watching the presentation about RSS feed at the Yaro Starack and Gideon Shalwick Becomeablogger site at least I know how to solve this, and will get it fixed within the next 24 hours. I'm using Feedburner, which is a free tool, and one that gathers all your usage statistics for you no matter what reader sourc your client is using. There is also an email gathering feature in Feedburner and I may start using that instead of trying to link directly to my Getresponse list. That's the part I haven't quite figured out yet...

Anyway, if you want a great set of 10 free videos on getting started in blogging, go to Gideon and Yaro's site. Here's the link: Becomeablogger.com.

Happy blogging!

Liz Nichols

PS: If you want to sign up for my RSS feed, the link is at:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/LizNicholsMarketingNotes

copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Here's an under rated traffic tip you can use now

Hi--

Watch this new video to find out the most under
rated traffic tactic ever:

<a href="http://www.xfactortraffic.com/v8.o/liznichols" are) to
dining on the finest filet mignon steaks when his
'Net traffic skyrocketed.

How did he do it?

Willie "Chitlin King" Crawford used just 10
traffic tactics (all no-cost) to get over
1,000,000 targeted visitors to his brand new
home-made 'site in just 60 days.

What were they?

You can get a list of the exact 10 tactics
Willie used emailed to you - plus a no-cost video
training of one of the tactics ...so you can be
using it for yourself within an hour.

The new video is here:

http://www.xfactortraffic.com/v10.o/liznichols

The tactic in this video is ranked as the #10
Most Effective No-Cost 'Net Traffic Tactic of
the Last 10 Years by Trafficology.com (the go-to
source for real traffic results online for the
past decade)

What is the #10 tactic of all time that Willie
Crawford used, and can be setup in about an hour?

It's probably not what you think!

http://www.xfactortraffic.com/v10.o/liznichols

And because I got to this a little late... I'm sending you a second bonus of Xfactor video number 9:
http://www.xfactortraffic.com/v9.o/liznichols

Tactic 9 is all about JV marketing. This is another of the totally free traffic tactics that work that you'll find in the XFactor.

Enjoy!

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Best Video Equipment Training and Best Video Social Site

Mike Koenigs of TrafficGeyser just recorded a great commentary on the best video camera and accessory video blog ever. In about 15 minutes he demystifies what you need and what you can live without. Take a look at his blog post here.

The best thing about his report is that he notes a scam that many fall for when they buy the cheapest stuff they can find online. There is an outfit in the Bronx, New York that pulls the classic switch and bait when you order equipment from them. Unless you buy a bunch of cheap accessories that cost more than the full priced camera, they'll find some excuse not to send you your video camera, or they'll just send a stripped down model without the accessories that are supposed to come, or they'll send you equipment that has probably been stolen. Don't fall for it.

He said that that the most reliable source that is used by the pros is B&H Photo Video in New York. You can find them online. They will be less expensive than a big box store, but more than the phony outfits.

A great Video social networking site I've recently discovered is VidEngage. Anyone planning to use video for marketing will want to join because it offers a video bazaar, as well as conferencing and video editing facilities, to support use of video technology in your business. This is the first video social network on the web and it is really cool! It also includes sections for posting a video resume, a video dating service and just creating your own video blogs and journals. It is growing like crazy. You can support your own membership (inexpensive at less than $10 per month) by bringing in other members. It is free to be an affiliate, although there is a small charge to set up a special capture page and get the distributor kit. It is well worth it! I have never seen any opportunity pull like this one.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved

Armand Morin's New Marketing Tutorials

Armand Morin has found a way to put his encyclopedic knowledge of Internet Marketing into the hands of almost anyone who wants to improve the likelihood for success online.

Morin has been making money online since 1997 and currently makes at least $10 million per year. Thought I'd take my loyal blog readers through the same step by step process.

I'll do a step or two per blog post:

1. Do some research first on niche areas that you'd be interested in developing. Let's say, I'd like to start a business in teaching people how to crochet online.

The first thing I'd do is to check a couple of research sources. A few of them are free. Check Amazon.com to see what is available in crocheting material. Check any newsgroup or forums of people interested in crocheting to see what topics they're interested in. Check Clickbank.com to see what digital products are already available online, and perhaps pick up a few of them to read or view to get a feel for the competition. This isn't the place to go into analyzing Clickbank, but basically, if you are seeing two or three products in that niche and they all have a little bit of sales, and there are affiliates getting paid to promote at a level of 50% or better, then you know there is some promise in the market. You can also check EBay to see what is selling for your product niche.

Do some keyword searches in Google and/or Yahoo and see what comes up for top sites in the natural search results (down the main body of the page) and if there are any sites paying for advertising (Google Adwords ads generally along the right hand column in Google.) If there is no advertising, then there is a problem and an indication that at least for that keyword people don't buy stuff.

Then if you still feel your niche is viable, do some serious keyword search. I'll make that the topic of my next post because it is a very special tool that I know you are going to love for all your keyword, and even content, research.

Liz Nichols
copyright 2007-2008, EDN Enterprises, LLC All Rights Reserved
