I just finished piecing this quilt top and I love it! I just can't decide if I want to add the border or not. I am also planning on using the border print as the backing.

I decided to try a little different style of clutch for the shop. This one has a cute pocket on the front with vintage lace trim and a velcro closure. I love the lime green zipper on this one, it matches perfectly with the fabric.

For the month of November in the do. Good Stitches Trust group, Kate asked for blocks using the July Modern Block of the Month at Sew, Mama, Sew. She requested blues, aquas, grays, gold accents with a white background. I really like this color combination and am really excited to see what the finished quilt looks like!

I finished up a couple of cute pillow covers for my shop this weekend. A multi colored one, and a pretty pink one. I really love these pillow covers. I am almost tempted to keep them for Grace's room :)

Lori sent the fabric for this block and requested the Crown of Thorns quilt block. Looking at some of the other blocks, it looks like it is going to be a warm, fallish quilt. This is our last month for the Bee Addicted group. I am sad, but definitely glad to have had a hand in so many quilts out in the world :)

birdie stitches - catch up

At the beginning of the year I did very well keeping up with this stitch a long. I finished each month's pattern within the first week. And then the kids were out of school for the summer and stitching was put on the back burner. I decided last week that I needed to catch up and went on a marathon stitching run. I can happily say that I am all caught up, just waiting for the last two blocks. I am super excited to finish this quilt up.

halloween pillow cover

I think this will be the last Halloween item I list in my shop this season. Unless of course I get inspired and buy some fabric, I have just about used up my stash of spooky prints. This pillow cover is machine quilted in a swirly all over pattern and the back has a hidden zipper. It is so hidden by those crazy eyeballs, that you can't even see it in the pics.

I was really excited to put together this tablerunner. I had a couple of sets of fall placemats similar to these listed in my etsy shop. The customer also wanted a coordinating tablerunner to go along with it. I used a lot of the same fabrics, but also added some additional fabrics. I wanted them to coordinate, but not be too matchy-matchy. I hope she enjoys them!

I really love the pattern for this quilt. It is so great for using up all those scraps just laying around. The squares are all 2 1/2" unfinished, so this would also be a great quilt if you had some jelly rolls to use up. It is hard to capture in a picture, but the white sashing on this quilt is actually a white stripe. It adds just a bit of interest to this quilt. I love how soft and cuddly this quilt is and it is reversible! I used a bunch of fat quarters of some of my favorite fabrics for the back to get a great scrappy look!

August Bee Addicted for Linda

I am totally late finishing these blocks, but they are in the mail so I can breathe a little easier. Linda is part of the Bee Addicted virtual quilting bee that I am involved in. For her month she sent some fun tropical prints and asked for 6 1/2" tiki huts. I can't wait to see her finished quilt!

I am super excited to have joined the Trust circle of the do. Good stitches charity quilting bee! I am thrilled to have joined this bee as a quilter, where I get to sew fun new blocks each month and then when it is my month I get to choose the design and finish off the quilt to be sent to My Very Own Blanket. From their website, My Very Own Blanket is and organization of volunteers dedicated to helping children in foster care feel valued and comforted.

There are a bunch of different circles in this bee and they each have a different charity. The quilts that the different circles in this bee have been making are just gorgeous - check out the Flickr pool if you are looking for some inspiration!

I listed a few more gathered clutches this week into my etsy shop. I just love these little clutches. They are perfect to carry when you only want to take the minimum with you. But I use mine as an organizer in my purse. It helps to keep the small things like keys and sunglasses from getting lost in the abyss of my purse :)

I have had the opportunity to participate in a couple of vintage sheet fat quarter swaps. As part of the bounty I have received a bunch of browns and oranges that I would normally not use. I had them all separated from the brighter colors and it dawned on me that they would make a great fall quilt.

I used a pattern from a Moda Bakeshop recipe. I had some random strips from some other projects so I modified the coin strips a bit so that they are a little more random. This quilt really came together quickly and I love how it turned out.

Tablerunners are another way to quickly update a room. I like to use them on the side table in my family room for each season, but it is so great to use them on your kitchen table, too!

busy, busy, busy

I have been super busy finishing projects and listing thing in the shop. I am going to break up the pictures into a couple of blog posts, but here are the quilts that I listed this week.

This first one is actually just a relist of a lap quilt that I made last summer. It is perfect for the fall, or if you have these neutral, woodsy colors in your home.

I made another quilt from Camille's book simplify. This one is called Little Man in her book, so I renamed it Little Lady. I love all the pinks and oranges together, and this quilt turned out so soft after it was washed! It would be a great shower gift for that mother to be!

And another baby boy quilt. I was inspired by this quilt by Elizabeth at Oh, Fransson! I used the last bits of white on white square print that I had so the top and bottom borders are eliminated, but I added another row of patchwork. It was such an easy pattern to put together, I definitely see another one in my future.

I just finished a fun, sunshiney quilt and coordinating pillow cover. I have found that some of my customers have been purchasing the pillow covers when they buy the quilt, so I decided to start making coordinating sets. They are still available separately, but it is now easier to find a coordinating set. You can fine these in my shop here and here.

Another instant favorite! I was inspired by this quilt made by Rita of Red Pepper Quilts. I love how the white really shows off the colors of the zig zag. It has been washed and the vintage sheets just make this quilt so soft and cuddly! Available in my shop here.

I just completed a custom order for baby bumper pads. I had already completed a quilt for the customer, you can see that here, and she wanted coordinating, but not matching bumper pads. I think they turned out great and will be a great addition to a vintage themed baby room!

I love the patchwork effect on this quilt. I mixed floral, plaid, gingham and stripes in yellow, blue, pink and green. It is super soft after a run through the washer and dryer. Grace is in love with this quilt, but it is available in my shop here.
