Bertus and Kitty met while working together and dated for 3 months before Bertus popped the question. They got married on a beautiful sunny day at Heaven on Vaal just outside Vanderbijlpark. Kitty looked elegant with her curly hair and soft make-up. Her wedding shoes were pumps and her bouquet was hand made by a family member, Magda.  Bertus looked dashing in his wedding attire. They are such a sweet couple, full of life and laughter. They surprised all their guests with their first dance, starting off slowly and then changing the beat to two different songs (“Big Buts” and of course “Gangnam Style”). Their first dance reflected their personalities perfectly. A few choice words from Bertus’s wedding speech – “In the end we only regret chances we didn’t take, the relationships we were scared to have and the decisions we waited too long to make. There comes a time in life when you realize who matters, who doesn’t, who never did and who always will”.

Bertus & Kitty are a gorgeous couple and very much in love. We had a lot of fun on their engagement photo shoot at Safari in Pretoria. I met them for the first time on the afternoon of the photo shoot and am very much looking forward to photographing their wedding in a few weeks time. Gerhard and Tanya’s intimate morning wedding and breakfast reception was held at the stunning Castello Di Monte Guesthouse in Waterkloof Ridge, Pretoria on a bright and sunny morning.

Tanya wore an elegant soft white dress with floral and pearl details, I loved her light pink heels and her King Protea with soft pink roses bouquet.

Gerhard looked dapper in his smart casual attire, giving a relaxed feel to the special occasion.

The day was meticulously planned by Tanya and the attention to detail was clear for all to see in the decor which she created herself. I thought the honey pots that they gave their guests as gifts was a very cute idea. I liked their “birdie” name cards and the colourful table flower arrangements. It was pink and pretty.

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing and being a part of their wedding day celebration. Thank you for allowing me to capture this special day. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Rudolph.

I was recently invited to participate in a client information evening at Imperfect Perfection wedding venue in Pretoria, together with a few other wedding suppliers.

I had a great time meeting and greeting all the gorgeous bride and grooms to be along with the rest of the family members and budding wedding planners. Thanks to all that attended and to the organisers, Noleen and Lene from Imperfect Perfection and Hester from Love and Grace, the event was a huge success and I look forward to shooting many future weddings at the venue.

The last time we spent Christmas with family back home was over 5 years ago. So it was extra special this year having moved back to South Africa, to spend Christmas with my family at St. Helena Bay on the West Coast.

My sister-in-law said a while ago that she would love for me to take their family photos when we were back, so I gave her and her husband the perfect Christmas gift… “A fun family photo shoot gift voucher”

On Boxing Day we had the most amazing weather, reaching nearly 40C and not a cloud in the sky.  It was the perfect day for a family photo shoot on the beach.

We started the photo shoot just as the sun was about to set.  My niece and nephew are the cutest kiddies, we love spending time with them. The cool dude, my nephew Nicholaos (who is 6 years old and going to BIG school next year ), is the little rascal and Chloëy (who just turned 5 years old), is a little sweetheart with stunning green-blue eyes and blond hair. Tracy, my sister-in-law is kind hearted and very photogenic. Chris, my brother-in-law is a true Greek at heart and one of the funniest people I know. And then finally a few photos of my gorgeous husband, Philip with his sister and the kiddies.

My first Cape Town wedding and what a wonderful experience with such an exceptional couple.

Rudrich & Rebecca are truly a perfect match.  Rebecca told me that she knew on the very first day she met Rudi that she would one day marry him as she was so confident that she also called up her sister in the UK to tell her to bring a fancy frock with on her next visit because there would be a wedding.

Rebecca looked fabulous in her stunning white dress with detailed beads, beautiful shoes and the perfume fragrance she wore on their first date.  They are both teachers and it was clever of them to incorporate blackboards for the table numbers and the seating plan at their reception.  Their passion and love for each other is enduring.  They are fun-loving and cute together.  They were relaxed in front of the camera, making jokes, dancing, kissing, just like a newly wed couple should be.  I enjoyed every minute of photographing their day.

Thank you to Gerald & Anneri for allowing me to photograph your gorgeous little man, Jean-Evan.  This cutie has beautiful blue eyes.  I hope you enjoy every minute watching him grow.

It has been a great experience capturing Chris and Tina’s family over the past couple of years.  You may remember their beautiful daughter Grace, who I photographed when she was 12 weeks old and one years old.  Grace is now 2 years old with curly blond locks and she has a gorgeous baby sister Sophie.  Congratulations you two, to the latest addition to your family.

Baby Heinerich is so cute and handsome!  He looks so peaceful when he sleeps and the writing on his bedroom wall – “Let him sleep for when he wakes he will move mountains” seemed so appropriate.
