My Creative Time's My Favorite Stamp of the Month!

Hello Paper Lovers and all things creative! Today is My Favorite Stamp of the Month at My Creative Time! However, Emma decided that we should feature three sets this month! "Your My Best Buddy", "My Little Firecracker" & "Fun in the Sun"! If you saw my post yesterday then you already know that I LOVE RED, WHITE, and BLUE, it's no surprise that I would use "My Little Firecraker" for my project today!

Also yesterday I used Teresa Collins Sports Edition for my tag, so when I was ready to make this favor bag, I just grabbed a few scraps that was already out! EASY PEASY!!!

First I stamped the "happy 4th" using Stazon ink (my ink pad is older and not so juicy)

I stamped the star border in red then cut out the 2 larger stars.

I keep forgeting that when you add the glossy accents to SU ink, it changes the color! So I added some chunky glitter to make the stars sparkle! These would be perfect for a 4th of July party! Wouldn't they be SO CUTE with sparklers in them too?

For today's project I wanted to make something that I could give for a last minute housewarming gift. I just love Red, White and Blue and for years my kitchen/family room was Americana, so when I saw this dish towel it made me miss my old decor!

Hi Paper Lovers!!!

I hope you're enjoying your week so far! Today I wanted to share with you a sweet little favor bag from my Boutique that could be used for so many different occasions!

For added detail I wanted to try to use and embossing folder, and to my surprise it worked beautifully! The sticker was added after the embossing. Oh my goodness the possiblities are endless!

I punched two small hole for the button and hemp.

My Creative Time Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge!

Happy Memorial Day Paper Lovers!!! If you're like me, then you are at the end of your three day weekend :( I so wish I was a stay at home mom again! Maybe not going through the kid stage again, but just being at home! I'm so sorry, I drifted for a moment. hehehe Let me get back to what I'm really here to share with you!

My Creative Time has started doing Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge, usually twice a month! I'm thrilled with this idea, because it allows me to get some layouts completed and show you that My Creative Time Stamps and Dies are perfect for scrapbooking too! Now I know that today is Memorial Day, however I needed to get a Halloween layout done. (of couse I don't have the picture printed yet)

So here are the challenge rules: to create any size layout of your choice using only ONE picture & incorporate buttons onto your layout! EASY PEASY!

This an 8x8 layout that will accomodate a 4x6 photo, that can be slid under the "trick or treat" banner. Or I can just use a 4x4 photo.

I made a pocket for a tag that can be used for journaling!

Wahoo It's Friday ~ Invitation and Favor Box!

Hi Everyone,

I just have a super quick project to share with you! With this weekend being the start of entertaining and backyard BBQ's, I wanted to make and invitation and quick thank you/favor box!

When I got my Art Philosophy cartridge, I was so EXCITED with all the "extras" it came with. But then I wasn't really sure what or how to use the system. So there they were just staring at me everytime I used the cartridge (which is one of my fav's). Well I finally tried to make something using the stamps that came with it. I hope these inspire you to pull out the stamps that coordinate with Art Philosophy and CREATE!!!

Thinking of You Card!

Happy Wednesday Paper Lovers! I can't believe this week is half over, but that's a good thing since I will have a three day weekend! Do you have anything fun planned for the holiday weekend? I'm not sure yet, but I'm still looking forward to it!!!

Anyway let me get to my project...since I've opened my little Boutique, the burlap has been selling like crazy! And I thank you for that! ***disclaimer alert*** This is waaaay prettier than the picture shows. I could not get a good picture to save my life. I'm not sure if it's because the colors are so muted or what. The inking isn't as strong as it shows in the picture and the embossed mat isn't that white either.

I added a bit of chunky glitter to the curly label and the flower petals. Along with .05mm lt. blue hemp twine and pearls. I cut several flowers using MCT Flower Petal die, then running it through a crimper in different directions.

My Creative Time ~May Stamp Release: "Celebrate Good Times!" & "Tag Dies"

Hello! Can you believe that we are almost done with this week? It's just been flying by for me! I hope you've been enjoying all the FABULOUS projects that my DT mates have been creating with My Creative Time's May Release! Since this release has a lot of masculine stamps and dies, I wanted to show you that it's not all "manly". :) So today I made a card/gift that's very girlie, however you could make it "manly" if you wanted! :)

It's a bookmark on a card! I got the idea from a friend that was recently at a stamp party. Her's was just a small triangle with a monogram, it was so cute. I realized that I could do something similar by using the tag die! Also I wanted it to be a card, so I created a small pocket for it.

I cut a tag using the Tag Dies, folded angles toward the center at the top of the tag. Added the Build A Banner dies for embellishments. On the back I glued paper to cover the folded angles. It slips over the page for a marker.

Hi paper lovers!!! It's day three of My Creative Time ~ May Release! Oh my goodness I'm SO LOVIN' this release! I know I'm sounding like a broken record, (please don't tell me you don't know what a record is!) but it's true, I'm having soo much fun with the stamps and dies!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to My Creative Time ~ May Stamp Release: "Here's Lookin at You!" & "Tag Dies"! I just love this whole release! I don't know about you, but I never have enough masculine stamps! This is just perfect for all the men in your life! Today I made a card for my dad for Father's Day, I can't believe I'm actually a head of the game! I don't want to keep you long since the whole design team is posting today and I want to make sure you have time to see everyone!!!

I used 2" natural jute ribbon wrapped with 1mm gold hemp twine for the bow.

Don't you just love the hat die cut!!!

I added a layer of 1" cream jute ribbon, then tied a bow for the button using .05mm gold hemp twine.

Today's project is all about the "stickerz"! Not a cricut or stamp was used! :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my cricut and have no desire to change over to something else. (now don't hold me to that, a girl can always change her mind!) But sometimes I rely on it too much. So today I wanted to try to create without it, and I think it turned out really cute!

Good Morning Paper Lovers!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day (even if it's to a fur baby)! This is an exciting day for me, for two reasons! The first is that it's May Stamp Release: "What's Growing On?" & "Tag Dies" at My Creative Time and the second is today Liz's Paper Loft Boutique officially opens!

Hello Paper Lovers and Happy Friday! Do you have a fun weekend planned? Me? No not really, however it's suppose to beautiful weather, so that will be nice!

I wanted to share a card I made for my husband's birthday. But I have to tell you something, and you can't laugh. Do you promise? Ok, I made the guitar one day then put it together the next. I didn't notice the mistake till the next day. Can you tell where I went wrong? Well, my DH did right away! :/

Since I just recently got Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2, (my new fav cart!) I knew that I needed to use it for today's project! This is what I came up with...

I didn't have time to get candy for it, so I just added some paper fill for the picture! But you get the idea! :)

This is the first card I made after my recovery from surgery (weeks after, hence the crooked burlap! :) One handed card making was difficult! If it was too perfect, you wouldn't know it was hand made! Right?! Well that's what I'm going with!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to EAD Designs Monday Hop! Before I get you started on the on hop, I just want to take a few moments to thank all of My Guest Designers! I have been truly AMAZED and touched for all the time that they spent working on their FABULOUS projects. Also at the love and support all of you have shown me during my surgery and recovery! All I can say is...take care of your shoulders! This one surgery you don't want to have! I'm still not fully recovered and may have to have more procedures to get back my full range of motion, but I will deal with that when I have to! Now on to the hop!

My Guest Designer: Glora!

Hi, this is Glora from Glora's Crafts. I'm SO happy to be guest designing for Liz today. I have admired Liz's work for A LONG time and I have also been lucky enough to work with her on the My Creative Time Design Team! She is SO sweet and super talented. I'm certain she can hardly wait to start posting on her own blog again and I can't wait to see what creative projects she has dreamed up while recovering.

Today I wanted to share a card that I made for my daughter's dance teacher. They have just finished their dance year and dance recital and I wanted to make sure to tell her thank you.

I hope you like it, I was going for a classic ballet kind of look with just black, white and pink. The frame shape and the ballet slippers are from the Shall We Dance Cricut cartridge. The beautiful flowers were made using My Creative Time's Flower Petal dies. I also used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval die and stamped a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set. I added some sweet little pink buttons and some faux stitching with my gel pen. That pretty background paper is by Doodlebug Design and is called Petite Prints.

Liz has some exciting news to share with you, but not quite yet. However, in the meantime, while she's recovering, she is reading every comment! Not only is she reading them, she's counting them, because at the end of all this, she will have two announcements! The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY!
