I was lucky enough to be sent a few different pieces of their collection to test and try out based off of the skin quiz I completed. My current skincare routine is pretty simple to begin with since I have sensitive skin, redness, and am still navigating through acne scars to give you as little insight on my skin needs. I took a pause on using my current products to give Earth Harbor Naturals my full attention.

I've been using their products for a few weeks now and have definitely seen a difference in not only how my skin feels but looks. The Mohicans Treehouse Resort!

Did you have a treehouse growing up as a kid? I always dreamt of having one, thinking about how incredibly cool it would be to be so high up in the trees. So you could only imagine how incredibly excited I was at the idea of staying at The Mohicans. It was a dream come true.

The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue is located in Glenmont, Ohio (just south of Loudonville). It was only about a 2 hour 20 min scenic drive for us. This family owned and operated business sits on 77 acres of private land. Offering the most breathtaking wedding venue, four cozy cabins, and nine treehouses (one of which was featured on the Discovery Channel’s Treehouse Masters). So cool, right?!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in The Old Pine, which is nestled away next to this gorgeous pond

Just a short walk from your private parking spot. I’d recommend bringing your stuff in a backpack/duffle bag so it’s easier to bring everything up to the treehouse.

There’s a swing underneath the treehouse and a fire pit to enjoy.

There’s a suspension bridge at the top of the stairs and you can slightly see one of the other treehouses in the distance. There’s plenty of space to explore and the kids loved going for a walk, hoping to spot an animal or two. Not to mention, The Old Pine is the same treehouse that Matthew McConaughey stay at.

Each treehouse and cabin has a code for entry, making the normal check in process completely contact less. It’s a nice touch that’s greatly appreciated, especially during these post-pandemic times where we’re all still making our way through.

There was a lovely note and a bottle of wine from the owners. They also have a little notebook that each guest can sign during their stay and a pamphlet of information with nearby places to visit.

The kitchen has a two burner stove, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and plenty of cups/silverware. All you really need is to bring whatever food and drinks you plan on preparing during your stay.

You can bring extra pillows and blankets if you’d like, but it isn’t necessary. Normally there isn’t a signal out there, but we were able to still use our phones. So make sure you have directions for anywhere else you may want to go, just in case. We all gathered around the couch to play uno before watching final destination.

The Old Pine has two queen size beds, one is just off to the side as soon as you walk in and the other can be found up top. The kids absolutely loved sleeping in the loft and having their own little hideaway. There’s an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a place to sit outside in the front next to the door and around back.

It rained during the weekend and was still pretty cold out, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we had planned on at some of the nearby spots. We plan on coming back to check out some of the nearby hiking trails and waterfalls. We did however manage to stop at the Mohican Country Market and snag one of their giant Amish made donuts that are as big as your head!

We had the almost incredible time at our stay at The Mohicans and we can’t wait to go back. We’d love to experience staying at some of the other treehouse properties during the summer when it’s hot out and maybe even in the winter. I can just imagine how beautiful they all look in the snow.

If your looking for a place to unplug that isn’t too far away, I would highly recommend The Mohicans. They have different properties to accommodate your needs. One of which just happens to be an airstream up in the trees. Each place is unique and is sure to give you an experience you’ll never forget.

That’s Sus...Among Us Birthday Party!

Last week we celebrated Zack’s 9th birthday- another covid friendly bash. This year he wanted an among us theme, which I was equally excited about. They’ve been in love with playing along us for the last year, hoping each round they’ll get picked to be the imposter.

Since we were keeping things at home with just our family again, I wanted to amp up our decorations just a bit. If you recall, we had a Roblox adopt me theme last month for Adrienne. So of course the first place I looked was Amazon and I found another awesome party pack that was exactly what I was looking for. Everything else I found at Target/Walmart. I’ll be sure to list everything and link theme at the bottom of this post.

There were only two things that I made, which was the cups I decorated with some of the leftover cupcake toppers. As well as the balloon arch that I made and simply connected to the wall with a peel n stick wall mount. I really enjoyed making both of their balloon decorations, they were incredibly easy to make.

One of the custom items we were sent was this set of among us cookies from SugarCreationsStudio. Brenda was absolutely incredible to work with, specializes in making some of the cutest custom sugar cookies you could imagine. & if there’s an idea that you have in mind, don’t be shy to msg her. They arrived early and were wrapped several ways to keep them not only in tact during shopping, but fresh as well. They tasted absolutely delicious and were the perfect sweet treat for the party. The kids couldn’t keep their hands off of them!

The other custom item we had sent was from none of them the incredible SmithCottageDesign. If you remember, Heather previously sent us a Roblox shirt- here. Which of course meant we would need a shirt this time as well with among us. She actually has two different among us styles in her shop right now, which you can have bleached in any color you’d like. Heather makes some of the cutest shirts that fit great (true to size) and are incredibly soft. There’s also quite a few designs that are absolutely perfect for summer time, so definitely make sure you check out her shop.

It was another wonderful celebration with just our small fam and it was just what we needed. As much as the kids can’t wait until they can have a regular party with all of their friends from school, we had a blast at home. It’s all about making the most out of any given situation and this pandemic surely has shown us that.

Roblox Adopt Me Birthday Party!

This year it was all about Roblox for our girls birthday. She loves playing adopt me and bloxburgh. You can find many decorations for video games in stores, at least in our small town. Which is why I had to get creative and come up with my own idea.

I was able to find a pack of decorations off Amazon that included the banner, cupcake toppers, cake topper, balloons, and stickers for candy/water bottles/and chips. You can find the link to that, here.

Next, I really wanted to keep the pink and purple adopt me colors. I found all of the streamers, tablecloth, balloons, backdrop, and gimbals from Walmart.

I made all of the Roblox “R”s by hand. They were super easy to create and help bring to life the rest of the decorations. I also made the balloon tower after watching a YouTube tutorial. It was a lot of fun, I might end up making more balloon decorations for al of our parties moving forward.

We had custom cookies made from, AprilsSugareeCookies. April makes some of the cutest cookies you could possibly imagine. From Paw Patrol, Baby Shark, to Nerf Guns, and Friends. Whatever you have in mind, she can whip it up. Not only are they ridiculously cute, they taste absolutely amazing. The kids wanted to eat all of them right away they were so good!

The cups we displayed the cookies in are from, Love2Kraft4U. Judy makes more then cups, you can also find vinyl decals, banners, backdrops, party countdowns, and cupcake toppers. Whatever your party means may be, she’s for sure to have it! The Roblox cups were super cute and came with red paper straws.

The birthday girl wanted an outfit change for her party, so we ordered two different Roblox shirts to show off. The first one was made from the wonderful SmithCottageDesign. Heather specializes in custom bleached T-shirt’s. She was able to make us an adopt me shirt, but that’s not all you can find from her. She’s got monograms, college universities, among us, back to the future, and plenty of super cute sayings like “peace love tacos” and “lake life”. Whatever you may need, she’s able to design it and turn it into the cutest bleached tees.

The next shirt she changed into is from the fabulous, EXAFun. Thomas can personalize all of your gamer gear. From Roblox to destiny 2, you can chose tees or hoodies to customize however you like. For the kids Roblox shirts, they each picked their favorite colors and sent in their Roblox surnames. Thomas was able to create an image of their Roblox characters and match it with their username on each shirt.

The last and final shirt they changed into was from TreasurzCo. Sienna makes some of the sweetest items for kids and adults. Whether you want a Roblox shirt like us or your looking for something else, TreasurzCo is sure to have it. This peace love Roblox shirt can be made in pink or blue and has glitter letters. I’ve been testing these lashes out everyday for the last few weeks. I made sure to read over the directions as well as watch a couple different tutorials on their Instagram to get the jist of how to apply them. There’s one full top lash with three magnets on both ends and in the middle, then you have three separate pieces for the bottom lash.

You just put the top lash on and then start with the middle bottom piece to connect them to your real lashes. Just pay attention to where the magnets are and place them on evenly so they’ll simply pop together into place. Then it’s best to put the outer bottom lash on and then put the inner bottom lash on last.

CONS:

I do want to point out that both of my middle magnets slid off. I had been extremely gentle in handling them, making sure to slide them off and not pull them apart when taking them off and separating them. I did speak with about it and she said that can happen sometimes and has had magnets in the past come off of hers. She said I could try and super glue them back on, so I may end up trying that out. I know a lot of other girls that haven’t had problems at all, so I think it’s just a little trial and error when it comes to them.

PROS:

Aside from that and before the magnets fell off- they stayed on all day everyday that I wore them. They also didn’t fall off in anyway and stayed put through all of this crazy weather we’ve had.

I would definitely recommend these for those that haven’t tried magnetic lashes before. Their easy to apply and have a long shelf life. These lashes usually last around 30-40 days, but as long as you don’t experience any problems with your magnets and you keep them clean I could easily see them being able to be worn for even longer then that.

These are a great option for those that want to ditch the lash glue- not only saving you time and money. A safe and effective alternative to flasies!

Their customer service is top notch. CONS:

We didn’t get any of the style preferences that we filled out. I had wrote in the comment section that we didn’t want their outfits to match (unfortunately at their age, they aren’t into marching each other so much anymore) and that we didn’t want any sweaters- only hoodies. Unfortunately we were sent two sweaters and they both matched (which the kids weren’t too happy about lol). I also filled out the comment box for Adrienne bc she wanted to ask for sparkly, mermaid, and unicorn outfits (which we didn’t receive any items matching that). I don’t know if it was because they didn’t have any of those items in stock- but I would definitely make sure you don’t get your hopes up on anything specific when your box comes.

I'm back with another review for you. This time, it's from Linhart oral care system. I've been trying out their subscription kit for the last several weeks and finally feel ready to give you an update on everything.

So, I was pleasantly surprised to not have any issues when it came to sensitivity- both with the toothpaste and the gel. I'm glad to have finally have found something that leaves my mouth with a fresh clean scent and sparkling white smile..

Their toothpaste is made with aloe and linamel, which helps protect against enamel. & their teeth whitening gel contain hydrogen peroxide to help achieve that sparkling smile.
