So much joy and so much love and so much time for making beautiful portraits in the beautiful October weather.  Oh my gracious, it was so lovely.  There really isn’t much else for me to say that will show you better or communicate more clearly than these pictures.

Kevin, as Krista’s friend, I’m so glad she found you.  So, so glad.  And as your lucky lil photographer, I’m so thankful to you both for the sweet time we all had running all over Indiana as we photographed your engagement session.  For all the time you gave us to work and do our job and make excellent pictures, for that one line on the timeline that said Portraits in the great light.  So thankful for that.  Thankful for your friendship, for your sweet friends who treated us like we were part of the gang and for the sweet marriage you entered into.  I’m super excited to come visit you all in Jasper one day and see the future Hall kiddos running all around the yard with the great dane collection you will keep growing between now and then.  Thank you so much.  Photographing your wedding was totally a joy.  Enjoy!

Our day started out at hair and makeup for the ladies and a little bit of man time with a side of grocery store trip for the fellahs.  We quickly moved to Kevin and Krista’s new home as the girls got dressed and ready.  Then we all hopped in our cars and met down near the newspaper, in downtown Jasper to photograph their first look.  So sweet.

You see, last summer, Krista and I drove to Memphis together to photograph Laura & Josh’s wedding so we had tons of time to talk about wedding plans as we drove and one of the things we spent lots of time on was where the first look would be held and what we would do while we were there (besides making photos, of course.)  Krista had been searching for a fiddle to give to Kevin and she finally found one and even walked up, playing it quietly.  Well, sort of.  She had tried to learn a song to impress him, since Kevin is super musical, but it didn’t quite come full circle.  Nevertheless, it was the sweetest first look we’ve done in some time and mostly just because we really spent a bit of time planning it out together.  Come back later today for part two!  Enjoy!

Ryan’s pictures were super fun.  We met at the studio and headed all around town.  A stop at Wakefield-Scearce, a stop at an old elementary school, a quick few by the train tracks and a pit stop at the library, where Ryan works.  So fun to include so many places and things that mean something to you seniors.  My favorite thing about this group of pictures is that they really communicate Ryan’s sweet spirit and warmth and love for other people.  He’s quiet and fun, talented and humble, but above all else, he’s in love with the Lord and that love is so evident in each part of his life and personality.  I’ve loved watching Ryan grow up as he runs around with my sister and her friends.

Thanks, Ryan and family, for calling me up yet again to make pictures as life happens.  I’m so appreciative for your support and encouragement – love me some Witham fam!  Enjoy!

And what an encouragement Brie has been to me.  From time to time she comes to visit and on the rare occasion (hah!) I make my way to Bowling Green to talk business and life and balancing the two.  She has cut back on her photography to enjoy spending time with her sweet little boys.  And so sweet they are.  I wish I could have their oldest son, Brady, on this blog post talking.  He has the sweetest little voice, and if you know me well, you know I’m a sucker for little kid voices.  Anywho, enjoy these sweet pictures we made early one morning this fall.  And that last picture – that is how I picture Brad and Brie in my mind.  So sweet.  Love the Gollihers!
