Hunter Valley Margan Estate Wedding - Sarah and Michael

The lovely Sarah and Michael had their ceremony performed by Val Haydon and reception at the gorgeous Margan Hunter Valley Wines estate in Broke, in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
Think beautiful bride in a flowing white dress, handsome groom in a tux, rows of lush green vines, rolling hills, warm sunshine, a wedding cake of cheese and lots of good wine, music and dancing - and you will get a picture of what their wedding day was like.
I was indeed lucky to share this wedding and have to say it was lovely to see such a fun easy going yet stylish wedding.

Avoca Beach Wedding Photography - Jessica and Sione

Jessica and Sione were the winners of the massive Love-Story-2-Win-Wedding-Competition I held a little while back. Photos of them before the ceremony were held in separate rooms of the same hotel at The Palms at Avoca Beach so traveling for me was easy with all my photography gear. Unfortunately due to the rain, their ceremony had to be moved to inside the Avoca Beach Surf Club but it made for a very cozy island-style wedding with singers adding to the joyous and romantic mood. Then they partied with their 200 guests at their reception party held also at the Avoca Beach Surf Club. With food, traditional gift giving to family members, bride and groom cakes and entertainment from their South American and Islander cultures, this was a wedding to remember!

Newcastle Customs House Wedding Photography - Richelle and Kim

Richelle and Kim were married at the beautiful St Augustine's Church in Merewether and then held their reception at Customs House in Newcastle. I loved this bride's style. She thought of every pink, gold and crystal detail and brought it all together so perfectly that I had to tell her, she needs to do this for a living! I love the polaroid camera with a cute board she made in order for their guests to pin their reception night photos onto.

Miss Lukah entered this world with wide eyes making the Thornton Family, a family of four. Beautiful big blue eyes run in this family. This was the third time the lovely Thornton Family called me in to document via photos, their growing family. I have taken photos of mum's first pregnant belly, then their newborn son Nate, and now the enticing Lukah. Thanks guys for letting me part of this very special time for your young family.

Newcastle Beach Pink Wedding Photography - Clarissa and Shayne

Clarissa and Shayne chose Newcastle Beach to be the location of their wedding. The was fine and warm but very windy. It only made her photos more dramatic with the wind creating big waves crashing on the rock platform and giving her strapless full length wedding gown romantic movement. They chose different shades of pink for his shirt, flowers, flags, chair bows and petals that covered the white aisle she walked on towards her husband-to-be.

Rain turns Elopement Magical - Billabong Moon Hunter Valley

Rain turned Susan and Glenn's elopement at Billabong Moon in the Hunter Valley into a magical woodland setting where any moment I expected pixies to run across our chosen wedding photo location. Apart from receiving their normal colour photos, I also took the opportunity to edit these shots to enhance the ethereal feel and make the raindrops seem like fairy lights. Ahh, who doesn't love fairy lights? Don't you love that the bride chose to wear pink gumboots with her dress?

Hunter Valley Elopement for US Sweethearts

Fiona and Jackson, sweethearts from the USA eloped to the Hunter Valley. Although their planned hot air balloon ceremony could not go ahead due to weather conditions, we were still able to get beautiful wedding photos of her gorgeous dress at Peterson House while enjoying a champagne breakfast and walk around their vineyards. Cheery and thoughtful celebrant for the day was Julia Denny. Hair and make-up by the talented Rachel Medhurst of Naturally Gorgeous. How do you plan a wedding in overseas with no fuss, use wedding planners Veronica from Blue Ivy Events. Only minus was that I could not remember the bride's dress designer. Dreamy Engagement by the Lake - Winners of Love Story 2 Win Comp Part 1

Ahhh... young love. This dreamy couple were the winners of the Love Story 2 Win Wedding Photography Competition I held a while back. Part of their prize was an Engagement photography session. Their obvious adoration of each other shows through in their photos and Jessie wanted to use the opportunity to get some photos of their new family which includes the amazing Shanelle who stole my heart. Jessie and Shanelle were naturals in front of the camera but Sione told me during his wedding photography session that he was very happy to have had a practice go at their engagement photography session as it made him more relaxed in front of the camera and able to enjoy it more.

Classic Vintage Style Wedding in the Hunter

A gorgeous classic vintage style wedding in the Hunter Valley was the choice of Katherine and Peter who tied the knot in front of their kids, family and friends at the Mecure Resort Hunter Valley. The nervous groom and bride were led into marraige by the confident and caring celebrant Maree Callaghan who performed their ceremony. Once the formalities were completed, their faces shone with such a lovely relaxed happiness. I love their vintage style so for Katherine and Peter's classic photos, black and white photo editing was my preferred choice. Thanks Katherine and Peter for choosing LK Photography. A presence on the web is more important now days than ever with nearly every home having access to the internet. I know I search first on the web when searching for a business service. A few months ago I completed business portraits for Richard Ophel who after many years of experience has started his own financial services business Lake Financial Group and also for Phil Evans who is planning his sailing school website. Both gentlemen are Morisset locals who understand the need for decent portraits to use not only on their website but also on their business cards, brochures and advertisements.
