One of the cheapest hotels in Lloret de Mar is the Hotel Caleta. I know a few people who have stayed in this hotel and they all give good reports saying how clean the hotel is!
Located only 50mts from the beach front in Lloret centre so your never far from the shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is open from the month of June to September.

Hotel Surf Mar - Lloret de Mar

You cant get much closer to the beach than this hotel in Lloret. Just across the road from the beach in Fenals this hotel has undergone a complete outdoor 'face lift' during the last 2-3 yrs, with new doors on all the balconies, new foyer and the balcony fronts have also been changed to a stylish blue tinted glass effect.
The hotel is 4* and is a member of the Samba group, all rooms have a sea view and the dining room also looks out onto Fenals beach. Lloret de Mar beach and town centre are about 15- 20 mins walk away, but should you find this a bit too far then the local bus (L2) stops just over the road near the beach on the corner.

One of the most luxurious hotels in Lloret is in the quieter area of Fenals about 15 minutes walk from the lively part of Lloret de Mar. Its surrounded by woodland and only a few minutes walk from the Gardens of Santa Clotilde. So is the ideal spot for a very nice relaxing holiday! On the edge of town in Lloret de Mar is the Olympic Garden, this is a 4* hotel and situated about 15 mins from the nightlife, although there are some bars just 2-3 mins walk away.

To describe the Olympic as a hotel is very much an understatement.
It is actually a 30,ooo m2 complex comprising of - The Olympic Palace, Olympic Suites, Olympic Park Hotel and Olympic Sports Club. Facilities in the complex are tennis courts, self serve restaurants, 6 swimming pools (4 of which are heated) disco, parking and an entertainment programme to keep the kids amused!

Fenals Garden Hotel

This 4* hotel is in Fenals, just a short walk from the local beach, which has been voted the best on the coast from the French border to Taragona. Although not located in Lloret centre it's right on the doorstep of the small shopping area in Fenals. A local bus (L2) stops at the side of the hotel and this will take you over into Lloret de Mar in less than 10 mins.
Rooms at the front of the hotel maybe too noisy for some owing to the busy roundabout on which it stands, it may be best to ask for a room overlooking the pool if you think this will bother you.

Gran Casino Hotel

The Gran Casino Royal in Lloret de Mar is in an ideal location for your holiday. Directly opposite the bus station and on the edge of the town, you will find every thing is within walking distance. The beach is only 7-8 mins walk and in the same direction is the busy shopping area, where you will find shops selling just about anything you can imagine!
This hotel is all inclusive run by the 'H Top' group who have various hotels up and down the coast, so it they run a free coach service to these hotels giving you the chance to see other resorts.

Costa Encantada - Lloret de Mar Hotels

One of the best hotels/apartments complexes in Lloret is the Costa Encantada. Although quite a way from the centre of Lloret it has lots of facilities for the family so you may feel you don't need to go into town as much. The Costa Encantada is at the back of the Fenals area of Lloret, which is approx 20 mins walk away, or you can get the L2 bus just down the road. This will take you to the beach over in Lloret, but the much quieter beach of Fenals is only 10 mins walk down the road. Lloret de Mar Sea front Hotels

At this time of year in Lloret many of the hotels close for a while, some will do any refurbishments needed for the next season. Quite a few though will reopen for 2-3 weeks over the Christmas / New year period.
When it comes to looking for a hotel for your next break here in Lloret you may not know the location where it is. So what I'll try to do is get as many photos of the hotels in town and place them on these pages with a guide to the location, and if possible a link to any reviews I can find.
Above you can see the Hotels Marsol and Miramar, these hotels are just across the road from the beach in Lloret. A very good location with the main shopping streets to the rear of the hotels.
I think that both these hotels have a swimming pool on the roof, the Miramar definitely has.

Hotel Savoy

I have previously wrote about the excellent Hotel Savoy in Fenals next to Lloret de Mar. In my opinion this hotel is in one of the best locations around. The beach is only 2 mins walk away and is much quieter than the busy beach in Lloret, but if you want to have a trip over into Lloret itself and you cant be bothered to walk then there is a single decker bus that stops just across the road from the Savoy.
In Fenals you will find excellent restaurants near by such as the International just on the corner opposite the beach and just on the corner of the next street is the Xaloc, both are equally as good!

The Cheapest Hotels in Lloret de Mar

So much is in the news back in the UK about holidays abroad this year, saying that because of the rising cost of living and also the exchange rate people are shunning the Costa's and staying at home. This need not have to be the case, it is still quite possible to find a very cheap hotel here in Lloret, but this does not mean you have to stay in a dump!
I know of 2 good clean small hotels in town, and have heard good reports from friends and relatives who have stayed there.
Although not having a pool, these hotels I've heard are ''spotlessly clean'' and have very friendly staff. The first one is the Caleta which is only 3-4 minutes walk to the beach. Prices etc can be found HERE
The second one is Santa Ana, a little towards the back of town (about 10 mins walk to the beach) but still with very good reviews for cleanliness and price - although I cant find a website for the Santa Ana you can read more on the Alpha Rooms site HERE

A Guide To Lloret de Mar.

Finding your way around Lloret de Mar can be quite difficult if its your first visit. The first impression many people get when they arrive is one of a town filled with bars, clubs and souvenir shops which seem to sell exactly the same things whichever one you go in!
They see a long beach with a castle at one end and a statue at the other!

This may be just the kind of holiday you want, but if not, what can you do about it?

To see more of what Lloret de mar has to offer don't be frightened to take a walk though the old streets at the back of town. Here you will find a maze of old dwellings in pretty narrow streets, this is where the locals live.

If you do find you are losing your way, a good rule is to always make your way back down hill, sooner or later you will end up back at the sea front!

On the seafront are the local bus stops, the fares are very cheap. You can catch a small yellow bus to one of the nicest beaches you will ever see - Cala Canyelles. The larger bus No-L2 is a circular route between Lloret and Fenals. With this bus you have no danger of getting lost.

Where ever you get off the bus you can get back on to return to the start of your journey.

Fenals is a quieter area of Lloret with a beach which has been voted the best from the French border down to Tarragona.

Lloret de Mar Camping

A nice change from the hotel or apartment holiday could be a camping holiday. Also a much cheaper option for the main holiday season when prices are always sky high!

In Lloret de Mar there are 3 campsites, all with excellent amenities and they are close to the centre, making it handy for all the shops and nightlife etc. Accommodation consists of chalet style bungalows, mobile homes or large tents. Space can also be rented on which to park your own mobile home etc.
All the campsites have their own supermarkets, bars, restaurants, showers, toilets and swimming pools.
The nearest two sites to Lloret centre are Tucan and Santa Elena Cuitat which are on the main road as you approach from Blanes.

The town of Lloret is now very busy with thousands of tourists in town for the holiday weekend. All hotels which have been closed for refurbishing during the winter are now open once again for the new summer season. So if I hear of any good deals for a stay here in Lloret or the surrounding areas I will publish them here.

If you would like a change from the usual hotel break, where you are sometimes subject to other peoples noisy idea of a holiday,why not try the freedom of a villa in the hills or a self catering privately owned apartment. Aquarium Hotel in Lloret de Mar.

The 4* Hotel Aquarium in Fenals district of Lloret de Mar is on the World Wide Hotels website, they are quoting a price of £247.12 arriving 7th May for a 7 nights stay. This is the total price for 2 people in a double room with half board. This is a very good hotel with 240 rooms, all nicely furnished with free room service if required.
The foyer of this hotel is one of the best I have seen in Lloret!

Girona Hotels - Catalonia

If your ever travelling around Catalonia and need a good central base the Sidorme** Girona - Figueres Hotel could be just the place!
This 2 star hotel only built this year looks rather 'square' from the outside but the rooms - of which there 82, are very spacious with king size beds and flat screen TV's.
The hotel is 3km from the town of Figueres (the birth place of Salvador Dali) and 17 km from the resort of Roses.
Average nightly prices for November with bed & continental buffet style breakfast are only ₤68 (per room, not each!)
I found details of this hotel on the Hotelsonline web site, which I have used many times my self and always found them very helpful!

Lloret de Mar - Hotel Samba

The Hotel Samba*** which is a very good hotel with 441 rooms in a good area, within walking distance to either Lloret or Fenals. It has good views all over Lloret.
It seems they have now made vast differences to some of their rooms. Looking through their website I found they now have Silver and Gold suites!

Silver amenities are...large room with extra large double bed, air con and heating, bathroom with shower, hot tub, sat TV and balcony with panoramic views.
Gold amenities are...2mtr x 2mtr bed, 42'' plasma TV, phone, jacuzzi and mini bar!

Barcelona Hotels...from 30 euros a night.

When it comes to spending a day or so Barcelona the cost of a night in a hotel is enough to put anybody off! but it is possible to pay from just 30 euro per night.
All kinds of accommodation etc are available on the 'Barcelona30' web site.
A very reasonable price is the ultra modern 'Praktic' prices here start at 37.50 euro per night.

Cheap Holiday's in Lloret

I have come across 2 bargain holidays for a weeks stay in Lloret. The Hotel Norai ** is offering a 7 night B&B for two people at a total cost of £134 (not each!) checking in on 7thOct. This hotel consists of 40 rooms on 4 floors with a lift. 24hr reception desk with cafe-bar, restaurant, dining room and air con. Rooms have private bathroom with Sat TV, phone and heating.
The next bargain is at the Almirall Apartments at a total cost of £138.60, all rooms have bathroom, Sat TV, air con, fridge and balcony. Situated right opposite the beach in Lloret the Almirall is central for all Lloret's amenities! Both hotels can be found on the DIY Travel site.

Alva Park - Lloret de Mar

The classiest place to stay in Lloret has got to be the Alva Park Resort & Spa. Being included in the list of 'The Leading Small Hotels of the World' ... makes it one of the most exclusive hotels in the world! Prices range from 500 - 2,500 euro per night!!
A week away from it all here in the most expensive suite would cost 17,500 euro. It makes you wonder just you'll find as you walk up the red carpeted steps outside and enter through the large 'gleaming' glass doors at the entrance.

Savoy Hotel - Lloret

While I have been looking through the various hotel websites to try find some bargains of which to tell you about, I so far haven't seen anything other than the one which I published on my Lloret stuff blog.
One thing I have noticed is how varied these websites are! One of the best I have come across is for the Savoy Hotel in Fenals. It gives all the information their visitors could ever want, from the views of local beaches and country- side to news of any events taking place locally. The photos taken in the hotel and out in the grounds are excellent!
It is possible to book on line for either bed/breakfast, half board or full.

It even tells you when the meal times are !!
