A source of electricity that can cause greenhouse gases is anything that needs to burn fossil fuels to run it. Instead of everything switching over to solar energy we insist on continuing to burn fossil fuels and further adding to the large amounts of greenhouse gases that are in our atmosphere. For example an electric train that simple runs on the electricity will not burn fossil fuels but the electricity is conducted by burning fossil fuels. So you can look at is as we are doing half of what we need to do, but it's still not enough.

The source of electricity that can cause greenhouse gases is just about anything that you are using in your home, from heating to cooling. This is why it's some important that we are keeping our heat set as low as possible. There really isn't any reason for it to be set at 85 degrees during the winter months. Also, keeping your air conditioning at 78 degrees rather than setting it to 64 degrees. These things will not only reduce the amounts of greenhouse gases it will also save you money.

It's each and everyone of our responsibilities to reduce as much greenhouse gases as we possibly can. 38% of the gases released is directly from homes for a variety of reasons. Conservation is the key, and it really doesn't take much sacrificing. Every source of electricity that can cause greenhouse gases needs to be minimized. Do you really need to be ice cold in your home and than put a blanket on. Please don't miss understand me I enjoy that but I refuse to do it. It's just not worth it when the outcome of that is damaging to the place that we live. Besides it's the perfect way to get sick, you go from indoors that is 64 degrees and outdoors that is 85 degrees or hotter. This drastic change constantly will aid in you catching a cold.

I can truly go on for hours upon hours about this, but I think that you get the picture of what I am trying to say. If we don't begin minimizing everything in our homes or our daily lives that produces greenhouse gases we are dooming ourselves to a life on earth that was never though possible. The source of electricity that can cause greenhouse gases, such as your heating and air conditioning unit is the first thing that you should start with, than move on to driving your car less often by setting up car pooling with people from work.
