Chinese Lanterns

There were a lot of chinese lanterns released over the weekend!

Just a heads up to anybody who may have spotted these and thought they were UFO's!! Please don't report and of these as sightings.

Haunted Blackpool.......

So me and the family too the dogs for a walk in Bispham to have a look at the lights and to my surprise we stumbled on some ghosts!

Many times in the past I've said I hate the lights but this was quite good and was different to the usual stuff they have.

I even managed to take a snap of the ghost at the top of the house (shown on the left).

I'm not sure if this haunted house is new (been a while since I looked at the lights) but I thought it was quite good. So much so I took a video of it to share.

Here's the video for you all to enjoy, but I recommend you actually go and see if for yourselves as this video is a bit shakey and was on my mobile. It's still not brilliant despite being in 720p.

Strange Orange Light over Layton, Blackpool

OK, so firstly my apologies for the eye catching title of "Strange Orange Light over Layton, Blackpool".

This is in fact a ploy to reel you all in to watch this video I recorded on my phone, shown here:

This is of course a CHINESE LANTERN.

These have been especially popular recently and an obvious spot for those looking to the sky.

All I ask is that you are vigilant when you see these and not assume this is a UFO as these attribute to the majority of UFO sightings!!

Congratulation Blackpool FC!!

CONGRATULATIONS BLACKPOOL FC!

We now have a new locals tab on the site so we can just report on local news (even if not astronomy or paranormal related!), so to celebrate that I just wanted to say congratulations to Blackpool for winning an EPIC game today! It looked a bit ropey at the start with Cardiff taking the lead twice, but despite this Blackpool came back twice and showed true spirit to win the game!!

Again congratulations to all involved - I'm feeling inspired to maybe add a LOCAL category to the site......

GOOD LUCK FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE NEXT YEAR!
