This review will focused on the normal edition version which is there's no extra stuff. Special booklet is available for Limited Edition version.

Tracklist:

Intro

The Social Riot Machine$

Carry?

Zakurogata no Yuutsu

Maximum Impulse

Hana Kotoba

Tokyo Shinju

SxDxR

Anti Pop

Shichigatsu youka

Saraba

Disorder Heaven

Comment:

Intro

This is only just the instrumental intro so there's nothing special about this intro. Rating: 3/5

Social Riot Machine$

This is the first song that introduced me to Gazette and I was traumatized because of this song. However, when I listened to it again I think this song isn't so bad. This song makes you feel like head banging because of its hardcore music. You definitely won't get what Ruki said because it sounds like he is growling and screaming. You may not like this song at first but this song will definitely make you feel energetic. Rating: 5/5

Carry?

My most favorite song. The lyrics is in English but you can't really hear what he said clearly because the vocal is in low pitch except for the chorus part. There are screaming in the certain part of the song but I truly enjoy this song. This song makes me feel so energetic. Rating: 5/5

Zakurogata no Yuutsu

I don't like this song as I find this song crappy. Rating:2/5

Hana Kotoba

This is a ballad song. There's nothing much to talk about this song since I'm not so fond of it. Rating: 3/5

Tokyo Shinju

This song has this 70s rock beat which makes me think of classic rock but the lyrics itself is quite stylish. Even the guitar makes me so touching. Rating: 4/5

SxDxR

If you're wondering what SxDxR means, it's actually mean sex, drugs and rock'n roll. The lyrics itself is talking about these 3 elements so I'm not so fond of this song. Well, the truth is I don't really mind about those stuff but it's just that the music didn't get my attention. Rating: 2/5

Anti Pop

Another favorite song. The song starts with the jazz music and after that the heavy and fast beat music comes in. I really love this song because all of them are singing this song with full of energy and enthusiasm. Rating: 5/5

Shichigatsu Youka

This song is a bit poppish but it's still great. Unfortunately, I barely remember how this song sounds like. My bad m(_ _)m. Rating: 3/5

Saraba

This is a ballad song and it's an anti war song. So if you're planning to do anti war campaign, use this song. I really love this song not just because of the anti war element but also the music. Rating: 4/5

Disorder Heaven

This is the ending for the album. It doesn't sound so bad but I'm not so fond of this song. Rating:3/5

If you have listened to the whole album, you'll notice that this album has a lot of variety in terms of music so this album is absolutely unique. However, if you have listened to their later release such as NIL and Stacked Rubbish, you'll realize that Disorder actually is less serious and less tense than those 2 albums. If you're searching for Gazette's old sound, this album is definitely for you. If you want more serious and hardcore stuff, then listen to NIL or Stacked Rubbish.

Looking for anime and Jrock MySpace layout?

Google can be a very powerful tool to search for anime or Jrock MySpace layout but the result search must be really disappointing to some of you. It's either you don't really like the design or you can't find the layout you've been looking for. Fear not, I can recommend you a good site that is not just have tones of MySpace layouts but also there are also website layouts, banner, avatar and even tutorial for those who are interested.

So everyone, do check The Forgotten Lair

This site has lots of MySpace layouts and I really love the layout. But from what I see, it has quite a lot of nice anime layout but it's quite limited for Jrock layouts. Even though it's not that many, if you are a fan of Dir en Grey, Gazette, L'arc en Ciel, Nightmare, Vidoll and Alice Nine, you should take a look at this website. This website also is taking request so follow the guidelines on how to make a request. Most importantly, if you're taking any, please credit or don't modify the layouts and claim as yours.

If you know if there's any other website that provides nice MySpace layouts (preferably anime and Jrock) please tell me by commenting in this post. Hope you enjoy your visit to the website.

May news: Gazette and Alice Nine updates

This month, both of these bands have announced new releases

Gazette

the GazettE LIVE DVD 2008.8.6 IN STORES

TOUR 2007-2008 STACKED RUBBISH
GRAND FINALE [REPEATED COUNTLESS ERROR]
国立代々木競技場第一体育館 (Yoyogi National Gymnasium Stadium)

[初回限定盤]
DVD3枚組(本編DISC 1,2+BONUS DISC)
60Pブックレット＋豪華パッケージ仕様
￥9,765(tax in)

Which means;
[Limited Edition]
3 DVD. We all know that some of the artists were discovered because of MySpace so it's not surprising that many artists will have their own MySpace and it also applies to the Visual-kei scene. There's nothing wrong for Visual-kei band to have their own MySpace so let's just get straight to the point.

Most of the visual-kei bands do have their own MySpace and it's definitely their official MySpace, not being setup by the fans, even though there are some were setup by the fans. Whether it's really theirs or not, it's hard to identify so let's not go into there. I have MySpace account and surprisingly I only have just around 3-4 friends in my network and the rest are Visual-kei bands which I only just send my friend request only to increase my friend's list. Whatever reason you have, MySpace is actually the best place for you to find information about the bands themselves and the best part is, it's in English even their blogs so if you have problem viewing their OHP, MySpace is the best place to check. Some of the bands do post their translated blogs on their MySpace so it's worth subscribing their blogs. As for Bulletin, it's also posted in English so don't worry so much about the language barrier. Most people on their friend's list are international fans so the contents are purely English.

Since they can upload music on their MySpace, you can hear the songs on their MySpace and you can add the song to your profile, if you wish. However, most of the bands don't upload the whole song, only just a portion of it. Even though it's only just a portion, you'll get the idea how the songs sound like. So far, Versailles and Angelo are the only bands that upload full songs on their MySpace but not the entire album. It's still better than just the portion of the song.

Visual-kei bands always have different looks and outfits whenever they're going to start a new tour or release new single or album. You can tag their pictures since MySpace allows users to tag other people's photos. If you can't get directly from their OHP, you can get it in their MySpace and yes, you're allowed to comment but no bashing.

Below are the links to their official MySpace, so if you have MySpace account, feel free to add them in your friend's list.

Gazette
Gazette Official MySpace

alice nine.
alice nine. It seems like I have so many albums and singles to review so I accidentally left them out. In order to make up with my lack of awareness about them, so here's the review for their single.

The first press limited edition comes with free poster and has 2 types which is Type A and Type B, Type A which has Winter Moon pv and Type B which has Eden live video. This review will focus more on Type A version.

Tracklist:

Winter Moon

Eden

DVD

Winter Moon pv

Comment

Winter Moon

The song starts with the sound of the bell and after that the guitar comes in. Compared with the previous single, this song is not neither heavy nor slow. What I really love the most about this song is the guitar solo is totally amazing. ToruXXX really did a splendid job for the guitar in this song. Rating: 5/5

Eden

This song has a slow intro but becomes heavy after the intro. Honestly, I like this song way much more than Winter Moon maybe because it's a heavy song. Rating: 5/5

This is the second single released by Angelo. For Pierrot fans, this single may or may not make you feel like it has the Pierrot feeling. But still, it's not so visible. Even though Angelo consists of members of Pierrot, this single is a proof that Angelo is different than Pierrot in terms of music. If you still miss Pierrot, this single can be a substitute but just bear in mind that it's Angelo's single, not Pierrot.

Here's Winter Moon pv

Eden live video

Versailles is coming to US!

Good news to people who lives in US (unfortunately I don't), one of the Visual-kei band, Versailles is coming to US. This information was obtained from their MySpace webpage, so here's the detail if you want a quick info:

A-Kon 19
Date: May 30, 2008
Venue: The Adam’s Mark Hotel, 400 North Olive Street, Dallas, Texas 75201
Cost: A-Kon admission
Information: www.a-kon.com
www.taintedreality.com

Live in Los Angeles
Date: June 3, 2008
Venue: The Knitting Factory, 7021 Hollywood Blvd Ste 209, Los Angeles, California 90028
Cost: $17

Personally, I think Versailles is such a great band despite of their appearance and do check them out if you're interested about them. If you want to take tour to Versailles world, check their MySpace page here

Versailles fans out there, I hope you're enjoying the show. If you already know the particular band, it's easy to go and check their OHP for new updates but most of the sites are in Japanese so it's very hard to understand unless you can read the Japanese. If you're not using the Japanese version of Windows or you didn't install the Japanese script, it's even more troublesome to access their OHP. In this post, I'll let you know how you can always keep up to date about your favorite bands plus other tones of goodies such as icons, wallpapers, magazine scans, banner, header, translations, etc. Not to mention, even the pv in high quality, backstage video and comment, video.

Actually, you can always get these stuffs in the forums if you happened to come across at one forum. Honestly, I hate forums because the members can be very violent and easily insulted so you have to be very careful with what you have posted. There's this forum where the members are bashing each other and it can be out of control. In other words, forums is not really a place where you can have a peaceful and friendly discussion even though the rules clearly stated that you shouldn't bash other members and definitely no cursing.

So, if the forums which can be one of the wonderful resources about J-Rock is not really a good place, so where can you go? It's simple. All you gotta do is go to LiveJournal. This is a wonderful place on the Net where you'll get lots of information related to J-Rock. I know that LiveJournal isn't that unknown but people think that LiveJournal is another place that similar to any blogging site. True, but not entirely true. What I really love about the community in LiveJournal is the members of the community really follow the rules and definitely no bashing. This is the place where you can finally have peaceful and friendly discussion. Fangirlism is something that can't be avoided in any place you've been on the Net, but it's still controllable in LiveJournal. So it's definitely worth a place to set up your account.

Most of the posts in the communities are friends only which means it's only open to the members of the community. In order to view the posts, you have to be the member of that community. Some of the community requires the moderator to approve your request so they'll reject your request if you didn't meet the requirements. So it's better for you to read the rules before joining.

Believe me, you'll definitely love this site. What can you ask for more if you can find more than you need, right? Below are the links for communities for each band. I'm a member of these communities and these are the communities where I get lots of resources.

Jrock scans - the community where you'll get various magazine scans plus magazine directory

Jrock translate - Jrock translation community

Jrocknoyakusho - another Jrock translation community

Jrock Sekai - Jrock mp3 download community

Jrock wallpaper - Jrock wallpaper community

_psc_ - community for bands under PSC

That's the communities where you'll get various resources. Just leave a comment if you really want to know more about other J-Rock community and I didn't mention communities for band that has disbanded because there may not be any new posts. Just to remind you again that all of the posts in the communities are friends-lock so be the member of the community and read the rules before joining. It has the traditional music element and followed by the dance music. It's a funky track and it's suitable to be the opening for this album. Rating: 5/5

Merrymaking

The typical An Cafe's happy song. If you're so used with their new album, you may feel like Miku's voice is funny but his voice doesn't make the whole song sounds awful. It's a very energetic and catchy song. You'll definitely love it! Rating: 5/5

Escapism

The song starts with a radio-like intro and the guitar starts. It's not that catchy and not that slow but it's actually a pleasant song unless Miku's old voice really does bothering you. The lyric is very straightforward but the pv really cracks me up. Rating: 5/5

Ippatsu Gyakuten Ren'ai Game

This is actually a funny song as you'll hear duck sound in this song (I heard that Miku loves Donald Duck so please confirm me about this) and Miku's scream. It's really hard to describe his scream but I didn't find it annoying though. But still, it's a pleasant song to hear. Rating: 4/5

Golden Wing

It's a heavy song after a few happy songs. So let's get serious....maybe not considering it's An Cafe's song we're talking about. Miku's previous voice may not cut out to sing this kind of song but it's not so bad. Even though his voice sounds cute but this song is just amazing. Rating:5/5

Rinne no Tsumi

A ballad song but Miku sang this song with full of emotion so this is absolutely wonderful song in this album. Rating: 5/5

Gangu

Another song that is full of Miku's cute scream. It's not that all he did is just scream. He still sings like he usually does but he screamed in the middle, that's all. I'm not so fond of this song not because of the scream but I didn't feel that I was hooked with this song. Rating: 3/5

Tekesuta Kousen

I love this song and the pv really make my day. It's a happy song and there's a little bit of scream so don't worry so much about the scream. Rating: 5/5

Nyappy in the World

The first version of Nyappy in the World!!! I'm so sorry that I screwed up the order of the version but whatever. This is truly indeed a happy song and it will make you feel like you're ready to bounce. This song is really a perk-me-up song after a long tired day after work. It will definitely brighten your day. Rating: 5/5

1/2

Honestly, I don't like this song even though this song is composed by Bou. Rating: 2/5

Wagamama Koshinkyoku

This is a catchy song and not really that fast beat but it's a nice song especially the pv. This is the pv that they wear apparel by Sexpot Revenge since they're the spokeperson of this brand. Rating: 5/5

This is the album that make me hooked to An Cafe because this is the first An Cafe album that I bought so believe me, I don't find Miku's voice is awful compared to his current voice. This is their second indie album after their Amedama Rock album so to me, it's a pretty good album for an indie band and they don't look that scary (this is what osharei-kei is all about). If you're too used with Miku's current voice, you may not believe this was his voice sounds like back in the all days but this is self improvement is all about.

Here's the pv. Enjoy!!

Wagamama Koshinkyoku

Tekesuta Kousen

Escapism

Merrymaking

An Cafe - Gokutama Rock Cafe album review

Sorry for the long hiatus so today I bring you An Cafe's latest album, Gokutama Rock Cafe. The first press limited edition comes with bonus sticker. This album is in the top 20 in Oricon Chart.

Tracklist:

Ryuusei Rocket

S☆B☆Y

Cherry Saku Yuuki

Nyappy in the world 3

Baby King

Daybreak

Pierce

Koritsu Hospital

Kakusei Heroism ~ The Hero Without a Name

Aijou Cycling

Orange Dream

DVD

Kakusei Heroism ~ The Hero without a Name pv

Ryuusei Rocket pv

Cherry Saku Yuuki pv

Yagai de Nyappy-yanen Charinkoman Documentary

Comment:

Ryuusei Rocket

I have written the review for Ryuusei Rocket before but if you feel lazy to check the entry again so I just give my short opinion about this song. It's a very poppish song but just like their previous song, it's a dance rock song so of course it sounds poppish. This is a lovely song. Rating:5/5

S☆B☆Y

This song reminds me of their old song Merrymaking but it's more energetic than Merrymaking. If you never heard Merrymaking before, this is a fast beat song even the guitar solo part is also fast! This song will certainly make you jump high. Rating: 5/5

Cherry Saku Yuuki

This is a fast beat version of Maple Gunman. When I heard this song for the first time, I wasn't really fond of this song but I was so hooked with this song on the second listen. This song makes me feel happy so listen to this song if you're feeling down. Rating:5/5

Nyappy in the World 3

I love this track the most. The 3rd version of the nyappy in the world (with different lyric of course!) is definitely the best. The lyric for this song is very touching. This song really lifted my mood. Rating: 5/5

Baby King

The intro for this song reminds me of a game music but I can't really recall what game. It's a fast beat song but I don't really fancy this song maybe because I find the intro for this song is funny. Rating: 3/5

Daybreak

This song is composed by Yuuki. I was wondering about Yuuki's composition so this song is the answer. I've no idea whether he had any experience in composing song before but I really love this song. This is the first song he had ever composed but surprisingly it's a nice song, it's so full of happiness. Good job, Yuuki! Rating: 5/5

Pierce

This song is slightly heavy compared to other songs but it's still a nice song. I don't have anything much to say about this song other than I love it. The guitar solo part is very long and surprisingly nice. Takuya isn't so bad after all. Rating: 5/5

Koritsu Hospital

This song is like the continuation of Pierce. It's heavier than Pierce and who would've thought that it's composed by Takuya. It's not that I find him talentless but they gave him a chance to show his talent to the fan. I never expect his composition to be heavy because he doesn't look like kind of guy who loves composing heavy song. Anyway, he has done a fantastic job in this song. Rating: 5/5

Kakusei Heroism ~ The Hero Without a Name

I've written this review about this song before so I just make my opinion short. For those who miss the review, this is the first single with Yuuki and Takuya and it's the second OP for Darker than Black - Kuro no Keiyakusha. This song is really suitable for the anime and I love this song. Give it a try then. rating: 5/5

Aijou Cycling

Another happy and fast beat song. I think the song is getting heavier as the number of track increased so my mood is getting lifted higher and higher, lol. It's a nice song and who knows you're accidentally humming to this song. Rating: 5/5

Orange Dream

The last song in this album but it's already toned down after a few fast beat songs. Here's the reason why: this song is actually dedicated to Bou. This is a very touching song because the lyric is all about saying goodbye to Bou and a token of appreciation for the things Bou has done to the band. I almost cry when I listened to this song for the first time as they wanted to tell the fans that they haven't forgotten Bou and they didn't want the fan to forget about Bou. Even the guitar solo part is also fulls of sadness. It's a lovely song especially dedicated to Bou. Rating: 5/5

When I saw the art cover for the first time, I must say that they give a new definition of skull. If you think that skull is scary, An Cafe will make you feel the opposite. The art cover for the limited edition is the answer. Who would've thought that skull can be cute. Since this is the first album with the 2 new members I'm surprised that it's a very nicely done album. Some of the songs reminds me of Kat-Tun songs but I know Kat-Tun and An Cafe is a 2 different band so the songs are not the same, it's just that your feeling confused you. If you're still skeptical of buying this album, buy it! You'll never go wrong with this album unless Osharei-kei band is not your cup of coffee.

Here's the pv. It's a new single anyway, can't be helped how many times I've listened to it. The first press limited edition comes with a poster. As for regular edition, bonus track Hajimete no XXX is included.

Tracklist:

Alone Again, Wonderful World

Psychedelisme

Alone Again, Wonderful World (instrumental)

Psychedelisme (instrumental)

DVD

Alone Again, Wonderful World pv

Alone Again, Wonderful World making of

Comment:

Alone Again, Wonderful World

This song has a very long slow intro but somehow this song reminds me of Green Day song (honestly, I don't remember how Green Day's songs sound like) . I do love slow songs by Plastic Tree but this song doesn't really appeal to me that much. Rating: 3/5

Psychedelism

The truth is, I don't really know how to spell the word in English since I only know the title in katakana. Based on the katakana reading, it sounds just like I've spelled. Anyway, I'm totally in love with this song. I still consider this as a slow song but I prefer this song than Alone Again Wonderful World. It has a very edgy sound so that's the reason why it's better than Alone Again Wonderful World. Rating: 5/5

Alone Again, Wonderful World (instrumental)

When I listened to instrumental version, the Green Day resemblance is really strong to me but I'm still not addicted to this instrumental. Rating: 3/5

Psychedelism (instrumental)

Nothing much different with the voice-included version but this instrumental version is a proof that the music is really does sounds edgy. Rating: 4/5

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this single. I should've guessed that the title itself will make me feel unsatisfied. Maybe I'm putting too much expectation in this single. This single is solely for Plastic Tree's fans only. If you're a first time listener, I don't encourage you to buy this single.

Here's the pv. You'll be the judge then.

Plastic Tree - Namae no nai Hana single review

This is the review for the last 3-months release single, Namae no nai Hana. Once you purchased this single this single, you'll get the complete calendar. Just to remind you again that it's an old calendar unless you're a sucker for Plastic Tree merchandise. Their new single, Alone Again Wonderful World is out and probably the review will come out the day after tomorrow. I can't guarantee you that. Here's the review.

Tracklist:

Namae no nai Hana

Paranoia

Comment:

Namae no nai Hana

This song starts with a slow intro then you'll hear the bass. I love the music as it's a very catchy song. You may not like this song if you have listened to Kuchuu Buranko or Ghost as these two songs feel totally different. However, I think this song is worth a listen. Rating: 5/5

Paranoia

I am so not into this song. It's actually another catchy song but I don't find myself addicted to it. Rating: 2/5

Actually, this single released first followed by Ghost and Kuchuu Buranko. Then you'll get the complete set of calendar. If I'm not mistaken, once you purchased all three singles you can send a card you'll get the calendar holder but I'm sorry to say that it's no longer available. I don't really understand Japanese that much so I'm not so sure about it. Even though it's a short single without instrumental track, but I believe this song will definitely liven up your mood because of the catchy music. Still in a doubt? Give it a try then!

Here's the pv. Even though the pv is barely visible at least you're able to hear the song, lol.

Plastic Tree - Kuchuu Buranko single review

Just to let you know that Plastic Tree's new single, Alone Again Wonderful World is released today! The cd should be arrived soon so do check out for the review later. I'm so enthusiastic about the release. So let's get to the main point.

This is another 3-month consecutive release single as you'll get another 4 pages calendar. Just to remind you again that this is an old single so the calendar is already outdated unless you're a sucker for Plastic Tree goods which is it's not such a bad thing to collect the goods if you're a true fan.

Tracklist:

Kuchuu Buranko

Tsuki no hikari o tayori ni

Kuchuu Buranko (instrumental)

Comment:

Kuchuu Buranko

The song starts with the drum followed by the bass. This song really reminds me of their old songs as this song has the melancholic feeling. It's not as depressing as the old song but I'm so hooked with this song. Rating: 5/5

Tsuki no Hikari o Tayori ni

This is a slow song and it's not an addictive B-Side track so I don't really like this song. You may enjoy this song if you really love slow track like this one. Rating: 2/5

Kuchuu Buranko (instrumental)

I think the instrumental version sounds really mellow as the music is rather simple so there's nothing impressive about the instrumental version. Rating: 3/5

Overall, I really love this single as this single really reminds me of their old song but the lyrics are the only things that keep them different than their old songs. If you're really miss Plastic Tree's old songs, this is just made for you. New fans, this is a single that you should give a try.

Here's the pv. Who knows you'll love circus after this ^^

Plastic Tree - Ghost single review

This single is one of the three-month consecutive single which has 4 calendar pages. If you want a complete calendar, you have to purchase 3 singles (Namae no nai hana, Ghost and Kuuchu Buranko). However, these are the old singles so the calendar is already outdated. I must say the calendar is really beautiful. Anyway, here's the review.

Tracklist:

Ghost

Suisai

Ghost (instrumental)

Comment:

Ghost

I must say that this song is different than any other Plastic Tree song I've ever heard since it sounds so hardcore. The music starts with a slow guitar intro and the guitar becomes heavy after that. It's a very hardcore song but they managed to pull the hardcore music very well so kudos to them. Rating: 5/5

Suisai

Another heavy song. I don't really have anything much to say about this song but I really enjoy this song. Rating: 5/5

Ghost (instrumental)

According to Tadashi and Akira, this instrumental was the original music for Ghost but they did a few modification to make it sound better. In other words, this instrumental is different than the actual music. It sounds like they're playing the song in the garage but it's actually very unique. The bass sound is a bit coarse compare to the actual music and same goes to guitar but it gives totally different feeling. Listen to it and you'll know what I mean. Rating: 5/5

Overall, this single is different than any other singles before as i mentioned before, so if you love hardcore music, this single is a must buy for you even though you're a first timer.

Here's Ghost PV

An Cafe - Ryuusei Rocket single review

This is the second single released after Kakusei Heroism~ Heroes without name. This is the theme song for TV series Fuma no Kojiro.

Tracklist:

Ryuusei Rocket

Koi no Dependance

Ryuusei Rocket (instrumental)

Koi no Dependance (instrumental)

DVD

Ryuusei Rocket pv

Comment:

Ryuusei Rocket

This is a very upbeat song. You can hear the keyboard sound in this song. However, the guitar solo part isn't that nice but it's still considerably okay. Miku's voice is even more powerful and improved compared to the previous single. Rating: 5/5

Koi no Dependance

I'm honestly speaking that I don't like this song. It's not that this song is horrible but it doesn't make me fond of this song. Rating: 2/5

Ryuusei Rocket

It doesn't have much difference with the voice-included version, but you can hear the upbeat melody way much clearer without the voice. Maybe you can use this instrumental on the dance floor. Rating: 5/5

Koi no Dependance (instrumental)

Since I don't like this song, I never seem to bother about the instrumental version. Rating: 2/5

Personally, I prefer this single more than Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes Without Name since this single is much more upbeat. This can be an absolutely great single if the B-Side single is acceptable. If you have watched the TV series and wants to buy this single, it's actually a great investment if you don't mind much about the B-Side single.

Here's Ryuusei Rocket pv

An Cafe - Magnya Carta album review

This is the 3rd full album and this is the last album which has Bou. I'm happy to say that I can't hardly wait for their new album which will be released soon. Some people said that they got sticker for the first press but it seems that I didn't get any of those since my order was pending due to the limited stock for this album. This review is based on the limited edition version. Beware: This is going to be an extremely long post.

Tracklist:

Lock on the new sekai

Smile Ichiban Ii Onna

Nyappy in the world 2

Pipo Papo Telepathy

Maple Gunman

Pushin Pullin

Nanairo Crayon de Egaku Hikari

Snow Scene

Jikoai Shugisha no Mijuku na Akuma

Meguriaeta Kiseki

Bonds ~ Kizuna (album version)

DVD

Maple Gunman pv

Bonds ~ Kizuna pv

Smile Ichiban Ii Onna pv

Snow Scene pv

Comment:

Lock on the new sekai

If you can read the japanese writing on my blog title, this is actually what it said. I really love this song, not just the title. This song has a very catchy yet energetic melody with a wonderful lyric. Talking about being confident. Rating: 5/5

Smile Ichiban Ii Onna

This song is love~ It has this dance popbeat feeling and it really makes me wants to dance when I listened to this song. There is also a little bit of guitar part so it's not entirely dance music. I really love the hand movement Miku made in the pv because that's totally amazing. The pv is also funny. Watch this pv because it's very hilarious. Rating: 5/5

Nyappy in the world 2

This is a song for me....kidding! My username was obtained from this song because I really love this song, I've no other reason to be called that. This song is still upbeat just like the one in Shikisai Moment but honestly, I would prefer the early version rather than this one. The nyappiness isn't that high compared to the previous version. However, the guitar solo part is exactly like Nyappy in the world. Rating: 3/5

Pipo Papo Telepathy

This is a catchy song as the intro has the gong sound. This song is pretty hilarious somehow but I still love this song. Rating: 4/5

Maple Gunman

When I'm listening to this song for the first time, I think this song is so funny but it's a happy song so I never seem to care about the fact that it's a funny song. There is a rap part in this song. Watch the pv. I'm sure it will crack you up. Rating: 5/5

Pushin Pullin

I don't like this song because it's a crappy song. I've nothing much to say other than I hate this song. Rating: 2/5

Nanairo Crayon de Egaku Hikari

This is a ballad song and I'm not so fond of this song so I always skip this track whenever I listen to this album. Rating: 2/5

Snow Scene

I should say this is one of the slightly heavy song I've heard in this album. It's actually a serious song compared to the previous songs. I must say that I really love the guitar solo part because it's so serious yet a bit depressing, makes me realized the coldness of the snow. Rating: 5/5

Jikoai Shugisha no Mijuku na Akuma

This is a very catchy song that really uplift your mood. Believe me, you'll feel better when you listen to this song. The guitar solo part is so melodious even though it's kinda slow regrdless of the fast beat of this song. Rating: 5/5

Meguriaeta Kiseki

Another ballad song which is nicely done. The lyric sounds so serious when you actually listened to it, you feel like crying. The guitar solo part is also kinda sad but I think the guitar solo part seems identical in the previous track. But still, kudo to this song. Rating: 5/5

Bonds ~ Kizuna (album version)

The last track in this album. The song is slightly different compared to the single version because to me the single version is slightly upbeat and the guitar solo part sounds different. They maybe tried to change the song composition but it wasn't that drastic change. Rating: 4/5

Overall, this album is worth a buy if you never listened to An Cafe before. Most of the songs are well done so it doesn't sound so odd compared to their previous album, Shikisai Moment. Miku's voice is much more improved since his voice is no longer sounds like a chipmunk but don't mean that his voice is horrible. This is a must-have cd. Get it while you still can because most places is no longer stocking this cd.

Here's the pv:

Maple Gunman pv

Bonds ~ Kizuna pv

Smile Ichiban Ii Onna pv

Snow Scene pv

Plastic Tree - Namida Drop single review

This single is the ED for Garasu no Kantai. I'm watching Garasu no Kantai because of this and luckily that anime wasn't that bad. Find out more in my anime review website. I love this song but it's not really one of the single that I put on the repeat mode. Rating: 4/5

Rokugatsu no ame

Believe me, this song sounds like a folk song but still, I really love this song. This is one of the folk song made by Plastic Tree that makes me keep humming for the rest of the day. Rating:5/5

Namida drop (instrumental)

It doesn't have much different with the voice-included version so I'm not so fond of listening to this. Rating: 3/5

This is a nice single. However, if I really want people to listen to Plastic Tree's singles, this may not be the choice but it's still worth a buy if you're a huge fan of Garasu no Kantai or Plastic Tree. This song has RnB mixture so it's a refreshing change of their style. I seriously don't get what it said. This track is just the music. Rating: 5/5

Agony

This is a heavy song and the lyric is in English. I love this song as the music is a mixture of rock and RnB but I don't get what he said in this song except for the bad words. Rating: 5/5

Hyena

Another song that I love and I was really excited to hear the album version. There's nothing much different with the single version. The early part of the song might be unpleasant to some of you as it sounds like growling but it returns to normal during the chorus. Rating: 5/5

Burial applicant

Certain part of this song is in English and the rest is in Japanese. The english part in this song is very clear so I understand what Ruki said. This is indeed a nice song. Rating: 5/5

Ganges ni akai bara

This song has a mixture of rock and latin music. It's a nice song but I don't really like this song. Rating: 3/5

Regret

It's a catchy song and there's no different with the single version. Finally, I'm able to hear a long guitar solo part in this song. This song has a very nice guitar solo part. Rating: 4/5

Calm envy

This song starts with a calming with a slow guitar intro. One of the track that I really like the most. This song also have a very touching lyric and it almost make me cry. Even the guitar solo part is full of sorrow. Rating: 5/5

Swallowtail on the death valley

I don't really like this song as I think it's a crappy song. Luckily, the guitar solo part makes this song isn't a complete piece of crap. Rating:3/5

MOB 136 Bars

The intro of this song is heavy and you can hear the growl. It may not be pleasant to some people as Ruki just growling most of the time. If you don't like it, you might end up listening to this song halfway. Rating: 3/5

Gentle lie

It's a ballad song. However, I find the lyric kind of cheesy so I don't like this song. Rating: 2/5

Filth in the beauty

Another favourite song of mine. The song starts with female vocal with accoustic guitar sound as the background and after that the heavy music begins. This song has a mixture of heavy rock and RnB which I find it creative. Somehow, the lyric has explicit content so just watch out for that. This song is also partially in english and I don't understand his english at all. Rating: 5/5

Circle of swindler

It's a heavy song and the lyric is in english and I don't understand what he said, again! Just enjoy this song and just brush it off the crappy english. Sorry, Ruki. I'm so mean to you today. I'm still enjoying this song despite of the crappy english. Rating: 4/5

Chizuru

This song is one of the B-Side track in Hyena single and it's also the theme song for the Korean thriller movie, Apartment. This song is a slow song but it's a bit depressing. Not just that, it also has this melancholic feeling which I think it really suits the movie. Rating: 5/5

People error

It's a perfect ending for this album and only the music. The piano for this song is so wonderful because it really pictures the guilt for making mistake. I should say that it's a depressing piano piece. Rating: 5/5

Overall, the album sounds so different compared to their previous albums, NIL and Disorder. Some people may not like this album as most of the music has a mixture of RnB and it can be a turn off for those who don't like RnB. Even I also take a few listens only to like this album. I do love this album but not as much as NIL and Disorder. Even though it sounds different, I encourage people to buy this album whether you're Gazette fan or not.

Here's the Burial Applicant pv

And Chizuru pv. The first press limited edition comes with poster and as for the regular edition, there is an extra track (which is not available in the limited edition) Makka na Ito.

Tracklist:

Nemureru Mori

Fujunbutsu

Allergy

Spica (Nega to Poji version)

Zazaburi, zazanari

Mujin Eki

Orange

Sabbath

EGG

Ruisen kairo

Kuroi kasa

Andrometamophosis

DVD

One shot rehearsal of the complete 12-song album

Comment:

Nemureru mori

I really love the intro a lot as the music start with a low guitar and the bass comes in. The song is slow but it has this calm feeling which I think it's the typical Plastic Tree song. The drum in this song is pretty impressive. Rating: 5/5

Fujunbutsu

The song sounds like the typical alternative song but with Plastic Tree touch that is but I really love during the chorus part. Rating: 4/5

Allergy

This song has a pretty heavy intro but this kind of intro will make you feel like you want to headbang. Ryutarou's voice is pretty low but it's not that up to the point that you barely hear his voice. This is another catchy song after Fujunbutsu. Rating: 5/5

Spica (Nega to Poji version)

This version is slightly different than the single version because there's an added element in the music, making it sounds different than the single version. Overall, there isn't much drastic chnage in this song. Rating: 4/5

Zazaburi, zazanari

This is the song that I really love the most in this album. It's very catchy and the lyric is full of hallucination, if I get the meaning right. But don't worry, it's not that bad up until to the point that you'll lose your sense of reality. This is the song that everyone should listen! Rating: 5/5

Mujin Eki

This is the typical Plastic Tree style so I don't have anything much to say other than it's a nice song. Rating: 4/5

Orange

This song is slightly different than most of the Plastic Tree songs I've listened. It's not really an awful song but I'm not so into this song. Rating: 3/5

Sabbath

I can't really recall this, but this song reminds me of a band that used to have this kind of style but I love the Plastic Tree version more. It's a heavy song but when it combines with Ryutarou's melancholic voice, it turns out to be an angsty song. Plastic Tree rarely have this type of heavy song but it's very refreshing music. Rating: 5/5

EGG

This is a catchy song but I'm not so fond into this song. Rating: 3/5

Ruisen Kairo

It's a typical alternative style kind of music but I'm still not so fond of this song. Rating: 3/5

Kuroi kasa

The song has a very slow intro and Ryutarou's voice is very low but once the music start, the song turns out to be impressive. This song has a melancholic and depressing feeling but I really love this song. Rating: 4/5

Andrometamophosis

This song is a perfect ending for this album as this song starts with a slow intro. The lyric for this song is very short but the music is kinda long but it's a very impressive song. As I said, it really is perfect ending for this album.

Overall, this is a great album even for those who've never heard of Plastic Tree before. Buy this album if you're curious enough.

Okay, this is Nemureru Mori from the bonus DVD. So I hope you enjoy watching this.

An Cafe - Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes without name single review

This is An Cafe single which is the OP for the anime Darker than Black and also their first major debut single. This review will focus on the limited pressing release which is the cover of this single is Hei (Darker than Black) and the DVD is Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes without name but it's Darker than Black version. The first press limited pressing release comes with free sticker.

Tracklist:

Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes without name

Respect mummy

DVD

Darker than Black [Another Clip]

Comment:

Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes without name

Since this is the first single with 2 new band members, I was wondering what sort of music they will produce since they have a new guitarist and a keyboardist. I thought with the keyboard element added into the music, the song may not be the same like the old An Cafe song. Surprisingly, I find this song amazing not just because it's the OP for Darker than Black but the song doesn't sound much different with the old An Cafe song. The guitar sound is acceptable but not good enough. I'm looking forward to see Takuya with improved guitar skill. Rating: 5/5

Respect mummy

Honestly, I don't like this song and I find it boring and crap. It sounds similar to old An Cafe song but I don't remember their old song is this crap. Rating: 2/5

Overall, this single doesn't dissapoint me except for the B-Side track. This amy not sound like the old An Cafe song but I must say that Miku's vocal has improved a lot compare to their previous album. Takuya and Yuki has done a good job for this single even though I doubt their talent before this. After listening to this single, I've changed my mind about them. They may no longer the An Cafe we know ever since Bou left the band but as long as they make nice songs, I'm truly satisfied.

As for the usual recommendation, give this single a try whether you knew about them for the first time or you still can't forget about Bou. Believe me, they will always make good music even without Bou.

Sorry for my long rambles. So here's the Kakusei Heroism ~ Heroes without name pv

And for those of you who are curious about Darker than Black, here's the OP for this anime.

Alice Nine - Akatsuki Ikuoku no Chandelier (Ginyu Mokushiroku: Meine Liebe -wieder- OP&ED) single review

This single contains the OP and ED for Ginyu Mokushiroku: Meine Liebe -wieder-. Honestly, I'm watching this anime because of this song and sorry for spamming this blog with alice nine. stuff since I think I should say something about anime OP and ED songs. The review will focus on the regular edition since I'm too late to get the limited edition. Here's the tracklist and my opinion. Just to let you know that this single was released before their first full album, Zekkeishoku.

Tracklist:

Akatsuki

Ikuoku no Chandelier

Akatsuki (instrumental)

Ikuoku no Chandelier (instrumental)

Comment:

Akatsuki

This song is kinda catchy and a little bit heavy so I think this song really does suits to be the OP for this anime. The guitar solo is short and barely noticeable but it's fine. Even the outfits itself (referring to the pv) are perfect for the song. Rating: 4/5

Ikuoku no Chandelier

A slow song but it's perfect to be the ED for the anime. It's a lovely song. Rating: 4/5

Akatsuki (instrumental)

I didn't have anything much to say about this instrumental but all I can say that I can hear the instruments better but unfortunately, it's not in the anime. Rating: 4/5

Ikuoku no Chandelier

I also don't have anything to say much about this instrumental too but it's more or less the same. Rating: 4/5

If you're looking for alice nine. songs that are heavy, this song can be good try if you're curious enough. Just to let you know that this single is not included in their first full album Zekkeishoku so you need to buy this single. Thanks to this single and alice nine., I'm eager to watch Meine Liebe -wieder-.

Here's Akatsuki pv

Alice Nine - Mirror Ball single review

Latest single from Alice Nine. This review will focus on the first press limited edition Type A that has Mirror Ball pv. For your information, this song is featured in the film Aquarian Age where the band is also appear in this film playing the song.

Tracklist:

Mirror Ball

Kiseki

Eraser - Memoire d'une fleur

DVD

Mirror Ball pv

Comment:

Mirror Ball

I'm so addicted to this song not because the boys are hot. I've never thought that this song is very catchy so when I listen to it, I fell in love with it. Rating: 5/5

Kiseki

This song doesn't make me feel anything maybe because I don't really like this song. It's quite catchy , though. Rating: 3/5

Eraser - Memoire d'une fleur

This is actually the so called the remix version of the original Eraser in Alpha. Whether it's a remix or not, I still find this song boring but I must admit the boys look hot in white. Rating:2/5

Overall, it's not really a bad single but I think I'll only buy this single because Mirror Ball is such a nice song. The B-side tracks don't really make me addicted that much. If you never listened to Alice Nine before, this is a good single only because of Mirror Ball, not the whole single is good. You'll be the judge then.

Here's Mirror Ball pv

And also Eraser- Memoire d'une fleur pv

Plastic Tree - Spica single review

Actually, I'm planning to write their Nega to Poji album but I'm kinda busy right now so I might as well write something short like single review. Okay, enough with this lame excuse, so let's get to the point.

This single was released before Makka na Ito single. First press for this single is only the promotional poster, no DVD.

Tracklist:

Spica

Romu

Spica (instrumental)

Romu (instrumental)

Comment:

Spica

I'm not into slow song like this one but when I actually listened to it for the first time, I find that the song is very touching. It's such a beautiful song. Most of the Pura fans are very dissapointed with this song because it sounds so poppish. I don't care with what they say but this song really calms my nerve whenever I'm stressed. Rating: 4/5

Romu

Another slow song but I also love this song. It becomes catchy towards the middle of the song and I find that this song is enjoyable. Rating: 4/5

Spica (instrumental)

The instrumental version makes me realize that this song also have a beautiful music besides the beautiful lyric. The music is so calm and relaxing. Rating: 4/5

Romu (instrumental)

I was so absorbed with this instrumental version. I didn't realize the presence of electric guitar in this song as I could only hear the accoustic guitar sound in the full version (I mean with the voice included). I really enjoy this instrumental as I find that the music doesn't sound so flat. Rating: 5/5

Overall, if you're expecting something edgy this single may not appeal to you since the single itself is full of slow track. However, it's still one of the nice Plastic Tree's singles I've ever listened to but it's still worth a try and your money too!

Spica pv is in the previous post. It's kinda slow but this song has such a beautiful lyric. A must listen if you're listening for the first time. Rating: 5/5

Aiyori aoku

A catchy song after Makka na Ito. Some of you may prefer this song more if you're more into hardcore stuff. I must say this B-Side track is a nice song. Love this song too. Rating: 5/5

Makka na Ito (instrumental)

When you're listening to the instrumental version, you'll feel the power of this music as you can hear each instruments clearly. This is one of the beautiful instrumental version I've ever heard. Rating: 5/5

Aiyori aoku (instrumental)

Another instrumental version that you must listen. I really like this instrumental version because I can hear the sound of the drums clearly. The drum for this song is so powerful, it's so full of energy. Rating: 5/5

Overall, I really love this single but I can't really describe how wonderful the single is. This is one of the single that I'm so addicted to. This is a single is worth a buy not just for Plastic Tree fans but also for those who have never heard of Plastic Tree before.

So, here's Makka na Ito pv. Hope you enjoy this.

This is Spica pv. The first press limited edition comes with a trading card and rechangeable cover with a picture of the band. The cover below is actually for the regular edition which was released after the limited edition. The cover for the limited edition version has pink background instead of black.

Tracklist:

Love Scream Party

Toon Daily Show

Gentou

Oreshiki Continue

Puraimaru

DVD

Love Scream Party PV

The making of Love Scream Party PV

Comment:

Love Scream Party

When I heard the sample for this song, I didn't really like this song and think the song is crappy but when I listened to the full version, I really like this song and it really does scream party~. This is indeed a happy song. Rating: 5/5

Toon Daily Song

This is another happy song but I must say that it's a crappy song. Not to offend anyone but I really don't like this song but the guitar solo part is awesome. Rating: 3/5

Gentou

This is a slightly heavy and serious song after they don't feel like goofing around. This song really reminds me of X-Japan song due to the heavy guitar song and what made me impressed with this song is none other than the guitar solo part. The guitar solo part is so fast, melodious and heavy. I must say not bad for an indie band. Rating: 5/5

Oreshiki Continue

Now they're back with being goofy. Nothing much to say about this song as I find the song crappy and boring. I always skip this song whenever I listened to this CD. Rating: 2/5

Puraimaru

The last track and this song really suits to be the closing of the cd. It's a ballad song and the guitar solo part really good. I don't really like this song much but it's better than Oreshiki Continue. Rating: 3/5

Overall, I kind of a bit dissapointed with this mini album because I don't really like most of the song. I'm buying this because it's SuG's first mini album and I want more SuG. Luckily I have a reason to buy since I'm so addicted to Love Scream Party and Gentou. However, this mini album is still in not my Must Listen list.

Here's the Love Scream Party pv. It's so colorful compared to Alterna pv but you'll love how goofy they are in this PV.
