The coastal nature reserve of Pärnu covers 341 hectares of woods, lagoons and coastal meadows. I have noticed something that really bothers me. It seems that not all sewing instructions for outerwear include one small yet VERY important detail - hanging loop.&amp;nbsp;

That&#39;s the loop on the collar seam that you use to hang your coat on a hook! And honestly, it is rather mandatory to have that loop in outerwear.&amp;nbsp;

In the first fitting, the coat is of course put on; closure is pinned shut, matching front centers and waist line markings.

What for: a cardigan jacket; or a jacket that has all the comfy characteristics of a cardigan that will be unlined.

The fabric dose not fray at all.

So... I thought maybe leave the edges raw? Serged? Or should I bind them?
The problem is, I did a test run with binding and it left the finished edges kinda stiff...
